Barakor's wound to the head partially closes and stops bleeding, as Ardana lays her hands on it and lets the healing power of her faith flow. The wolf growls, is about to bite... but he stops, probably realizing it's a friend the one near him.
With a grin, Clas tosses two of the flags to his companions. Here you go, folks, he exclaims laughing. Hahahaha!
With that done, Clas's curiosity sparks another adventure. Purposefully, he strides over to the fallen suits of armor—Quite Glossy, Dented Helmet, and Missing Scales. His eyes fixate on their helmets, a glint of determination in his gaze. Time for some detective work, Hahahaha! Clas laughs to himself, his voice filled with anticipation. He inspects each helmet, searching for any markings.
Satisfied with his examination, Clas's attention shifts to the two corridors the suits of armor emerged from. Eager to uncover more secrets, he heads towards the east corridor first. His footsteps echo with purpose as he approaches the door and opens it. After looking down the east corridor, Clas's exploration continues as he turns his attention to the north corridor. With each step, he remains vigilant and curious, ready to face whatever mysteries lie ahead.
(OOC: Not sure if there are doors, walls, or something else but Clas is going to look to see where these additional suits of armor came from and get a better idea of what is in the immediate area.)

Never underestimate the power of a finely crafted barrel, my friend! It is both a vessel of strength and a symbol of resilience.
Getting shakily to her feet, Tarysaa witnesses the end of the animated armour opponents and those springing to aid the downed wolf. Seeing Clas step into the area with a flaming item in hand, she recalls the instructions given by Elky... how gaining a 'yellow flag' will allow many to pass while holding hands.
ARCANA Check 24 [ Trying to noodle out things - specifically, the level of spell necessary to animate armour AND the premise for how a flaming 'flag' can pierce the mists? ]
INVESTIGATION Check NAT20+4 = 24 [ Like Clas, looking over the armour for any marks or symbols AND then checking out the Gong Room ]
"This armour is beat up and trashed, but can anyone use what is NOT turned to garbage? Or, the weapons?"
Those who accept flags from Clas (OOC: There were 4 flags and Clas and Ilwythe already got one each - so two of the others can receive them - the first two who in their posts claim to accept a yellow flag can mark it in their equipment as a custom item) immediately notice that when the flag is held it 'burns' as if it were a torch - even if its flame gives off no heat. And that those who wield a yellow flag do not see the fog that fills the corridors - to their gaze the corridors are devoid of lighting, but perfectly examinable with light sources or Darkvision.
Clas and Tarysaa examine the remains of the self-moving armor, but find no particular symbols. However, they realize that the armors, by being defeated, have been rendered essentially useless - their remains are no longer able to protect anyone.
The quick inspection tour of Clas (OOC: path marked by arrows on the map) allows the carefree and resourceful adventurer to discover a room that has open doors and which is completely empty... Considering its location and its proximity to the gong (and flag) room, he deduces that the three animated suits of reinforcements were waiting there.
In the meantime, Tarysaa reflects... Evidently, the University of Silverymoon provides a remarkable preparation for its students, because the elf wizard comes up with some possible explanation of some of the magical phenomena she has just witnessed...
For Tarysaa (up to you what to share with your fellow adventurers):
In fact, there are magical rituals to transform common armor into guardians capable of animating themselves and, sometimes, even of utter warnings, demand passwords, or deliver riddles (however, these are almost always scripted speech - very rare are animated armor endowed with actual intelligence).
Concerning the flag and its interaction with the mist… Tarysaa comes up with a powerful spell she has heard discussing some great wizards at the university… A spell, called Guards and Wards, with a single casting of which it is possible to protect an entire complex - or at least a large area of it. Filling the corridors of the complex with mist that is unfathomable to the eye is just one of the standard effects of that spell (others confuse intruders at crossroads, infest stairways with cobwebs, block or mask doors... and some other, non-standard ones, can be chosen by the caster at the time of casting).
The ritual allows the caster to specify who is not to be affected by the spell - so if the magical defender of this place specified that the wielder of one of those yellow flags is unaffected... that would explain why wielding the flag causes one to stop to see the fog.
The bear grunts and nuzzles against the paladin as a show of thanks when they offer Barakor some healing. It then lies down next to the wolf licking at the wounds. Once cleaned, it gently sits a paw upon the animal and its shape changes just as fast as it formed.
Daisy sits there, comforting the injured beast. "I'm sorry I let you get hurt."Her hand stops stroking the Barakor and a glow of radiant energy soon appears and more of the wounds soon magically mend. "You're so brave, Barakor."The dwarf scratches the wolf under the jaw with both hands. "But maybe it would be best if you keep to the back when going down here. Seems like there's a lot of magically things guarding this place."
Clas's eyes twinkle with curiosity as he holds the yellow flag. "Let's see if this thing's got any surprises for us." He holds the flag cautiously, almost expecting it to burn his hand as he places it beneath his palm.
Feeling no unusual sensation, Clas's grin widens. "Well, isn't that interesting?" he murmurs to himself. With a swift movement, he wraps the flag around his hand, using it as a makeshift bandage. The bright yellow fabric contrasts against his rugged demeanor, creating a unique accessory. (OOC: If the flag is too small for that, he ties it around both his small and ring fingers.)
Turning his attention to Ardana, Clas's voice holds its characteristic warmth. "Hey, Ardana," he calls out to his companion, his words fast and lively. "What do you say we add a touch of sunshine to your hair?" A playful glint in his eye. "I could tie a ribbon in your hair. Hahahaha! A suitable halo right above your head!"

Tarysaa will pace back and forth as she talks her way thru everything given in the #868 spoiler.
Indeed, her education is coming in much handier than she would have imagined not long ago.
Working her way back to the main spiral staircase room, she then moves to the south. Is that a large mist filled opening?
How BIG is that gong? How heavy might it be? I mean, could someone use it strapped to their back for protection? Or at least held like a moderate shield... until they had to drop it?

It is a good attempt, but the fighter finds out that the flag needs to be held, to function... As soon as it is not held anymore, the flame of the flag suddenly disappears and the fog is there again.

To the south there is the southern alcove, the one with the other mosaic. Two corridors lead out of that alcove, mist-filled, unless one is holding one of the enchanted yellow flags...
The gong is maybe 14 inches in diameter and weighs 2lbs.
I'd allow to use it to get improvised protection but is not meant for protection. I'd say that as improvised shield it might give +1 to AC, but it will make a loud crash every time it is hit and in any case it won't be considered a real shield, regarding the requirements of any maneuvers (for example: it can't be interposed to put opponents at a disadvantage by those with the Protection Fighting Style.
Clas's vibrant voice fills the air as he steps forward with purpose. His solid and upbeat demeanor is evident as he holds a yellow flag aloft in one hand, his shield, Barrel, held firmly in the other. "Alright, team, let's coordinate our moves!" he exclaims, his words fast and full of enthusiasm.
He turns to Ardana with a nod, a plan forming in his mind. "Ardana, you've got that trusty warhammer of yours, right? Hold it at the ready." His gaze then shifts to Tarysaa, his smile encouraging. "Tarysaa, how about you hold this yellow flag? It'll make you stand out, and who doesn't love a splash of color?"
Clas's gaze dances to Daisy next, his voice unwaveringly positive. "Daisy, you're the shield-bearer! Keep that shield up, and Nimblestep, hold onto Daisy's hand. Safety in numbers, right?"
His attention pivots to Nimblestep, his voice quick and lively. "Nimblestep, you get a flag too. That way, we won't lose you in the action!" Clas chuckles in C.
"Ilwythe," Clas says, addressing his rapier-wielding companion, "you've got quick reflexes, so hold onto that rapier and a yellow flag. We'll know where you are in the thick of it."
Lastly, Clas's gaze lands on the wolf, his voice infused with warmth. "And for our loyal friend here," he suggests, "let's have the wolf stick close to Daisy. We'll make sure everyone's accounted for."
His plan laid out, Clas beams at the group. "Ready to shine, everyone?" he asks.
(OOC: Clas with shield and flag. Ardana and Tarysaa paired. Daisy and Nimblestep paired, wolf in tow. Ilwythe with rapier and flag.)

Well... If Clas' strategy is approved and you are ready to go, you have to decide where you are heading...
Ardana will Lay on Hands self for 5. Lets go!
There are at least 4 ways you could choose...
Clas is at the front of the train, so to speak...
Hahahaha! Well if we’re not resting then a straight line is the fastest way to get somewhere on a flat floor. Hahahaha! East! Follow me!

So east you go! Easy way... No fog... No enemies... But soon, new choices are to be made, as you come to a T junction.
Where to now?
