"Ah..ah, thank you Lehmani. Whew, that was a close one." He shudders a bit.
He then chuckles at Grymar as he talks about his own brand, "You're a stinky one, ain't ya? Well.. guess I have yet to meet a dwarf that isn't. Even the females!"
As the others check the room, he heads over to the door with Lehmani and goes to check the door to see if it is locked or not.
Lehmani - The moment you press your ear to the door, you're startled by the sound of Grymar suddenly breaking wind next to you. Between the incense and flatulence, the aroma in the room is beginning to make you feel a bit light-headed.

Kalhala - The key turns easily with a satisfying K-THUNK and the door is unlocked. You open the door a smidge and before you can see much of anything something suddenly jams itself in the crack, a long, thin, flesh colored tube. Whatever it is is emitting a high pitched squealing as the rest of it batters against the closed doors, trying to force its way in.
"GAAH!" Kalhala yells out as he is shocked by the sudden appearance and high pitched squeal of the creature behind the door. He changes his mind and tries to slam his body against the door to get it shut again, and if he can, lock it back up.
When Berk hears the commotion at the door, he'll turn from the incense and run to help close the door, putting his weight into the door. (Athletics 19)
Startled by the sudden burst of activity, Lehmani steps back, prepared to cast Sacred Flame but then hesitates when she realizes she doesn't even know what she's attacking. The pause is long enough for her to look to the others and ask, "Should I blast it!?"
If they respond in the affirmative, she'll launch the spell. Otherwise, she'll stand at the ready in case Kalhala & Berk's efforts fail.

“Pardon me all over the place. Better out than in! Here, lessee, maybe this will make up for my bad wind.” Grymar divides up the silver, 64 sp to each and puts his away in his pouch. He also hands out two flasks of alchemist fire to whoever wants it, keeping one for himself.
Grymar bolts upright when he hears the commotion, thankfully nothing further eeks out from him, and he rushes to the door to help as well. “What’n the blue blazes was that, what did you see there Kalhalla?” He tries to listen and identify if he has ever heard any beast or thing that sounded like that…

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Berkarak - The brazier is emitting a fragrant smoke that you identify as burning sage. Various other bits of charred aromatics are also present, but it's hard to tell exactly what they might be.
Kalhala - The weight of your shoulder into the door is more than enough to close it. The creature's head is caught in the gap and with a wet CRUNCH, it is decapitated. The head sticks in the crack for a moment before tumbling to the floor.
Grymar - You recognize the bit of the creature that made it through as the head of a stirge.
Kalhala stares at the head at his feet and rubs the back of his neck. "Geez guys, I don't know why I am so jumpy. Must have been that spider that crawled across me. Looks like some weird bat creature. Can't do much damage.. think they hunt in packs?" He looks back at the door, "I wonder why they kept it locked.. too many of these things?"
Lehmani examines the door again, considering the key in the lock. "Perhaps they intended to use the creatures as a weapon of defense? Keep them under lock and key until they need to be unleashed... Just a guess, of course. Either way, I imagine there's a few more in there, where this one came from... Do we think it's worth exploring what's behind this door? If so, we can lay some sort of trap and I can pop the door open from a distance. If not, we can leave these beasts to their business and head back up to that northern passage."

Zubien considers it. "Nasty little blood suckers," he states, "Seeing the condition of the door, it was either locked to keep them out, or perhaps they placed something inside to be guarded indirectly by these Stirges. Whose to say?"
Berkarak looks at the desk and its disappointing lack of books. "Such a nice door under lock and key must be hiding something valuable, and these needle-noses are no match for the Giantsbane. I say way forge ahead. I'll prepare some hand zaps from over here."He backs away from the door and looks inquisitively at his teammates.
"Ah, we can handle the little buggers.. look how easy it was to decapitate one!" As Lehmani states she will open the door, even though she is over by the desk, Kalhala gives her a questioning look, but decides to listen to her. He takes a stance on the other side of the door, and readies his sword.
When the creatures emerge, he will attack with a whopping 9 and 8 damage lol

Kalhala - The door is locked, but there is a key in the keyhole that appears to work the lock.
Lehmani - A moment of nausea washes over you, but you manage to swallow and refrain from spewing on Kalhala.
Berkarak inspects the brazier and incense for anything interesting. Investigation+Guidance: 8+4 for 12
Zubien attempts to stay out of the blast area, but assists in searching as well. Perception: 4; Investigation: 15
(Oh right, i'm sorry you did mention that in the description)
Kalhala smiles at his misjudgment and then unlocks the door with the key and cracks it open a smidge to look beyond.
