having a hard time with the contour lines of the stream.. and therefor how many squares at double or single movement, confirming i make it to melee engagement with Elila's foe?
Leek uses his action to dash and get behind the creature.
Kitryn moves(to J12 - You have 30 feet of movement and diagonal movement costs 5 feet or 10 feet in difficult terrain. So it doesn't matter if you are in difficult terrain or not, you can reach the creature with your movement alone)next to the creature and attacks twice, landing a blow on the second attack (9 dmg).
Rindelk moves 10 feet (to P7) and casts Flaming Sphere...
Flaming Sphere is a ball of fire that has a chance to burn ANY creature (friendly as well) that ends a turn next to it. So on the initial casting, it doesn't do anything. HOWEVER! As a bonus action, you can move the sphere and have it ram a target, forcing a chance to do damage.
Note: Flaming Sphere will ignite flamable objects... and you are in a forest.
... at Y13, then uses a bonus action to have the sphere ram the creature (moves to Z12)...
DC 12 DEX saving throw: 21
... but the creature sees the sphere and avoids being hit by it.
Your superiority die allows you to do a TRIP attack, not a tripple attack. However, your superiority die does get added to the damage AND it has a chance to knock the target prone.
You have 4 superiority die, which is why your sheet says 4d8. But you only use one at a time, so you roll 1d8 and add it to your damage.
Elila swings low with the intent of sweeping the legs out from the creature and cleaves straight thru one leg and most of the way through the other. The creature falls into the stream and lies motionless (it's dead.)
The remaining creature smells the blood of the mule and steps to Z10 to finish it's kill.
Leek lunges forward and sinks his teeth into the creature's hamstring, but instead of tripping the creature to the ground, the dry leathery flesh rips out of the leg. The creature shambles over in between two mules and rakes its claws across the neck of a mule(1=Leek, 2=Rindelk, 3=Elila, 4=Katerielle)...

... and now a second mule is injured. Both injured mules appear to be frozen in place. One of the other mules rears and attempts to clobber the creature with a hoof...
Hoof Attack: 15 Damage: 4
... caving in the creatures head, causing it to fall limp to the ground. The mule continues to paw at the corpse with hooves, the presence of the corpse not alleviating the panic.
As the party members stand and look around, the panicked braying of the mules is the only sound that can be heard. Some of you worry it may draw further unwanted attention.
There are two injured mules who appear to be unmoving while the other two are still panicking. Katerielle can heal the two hurt mules if she has two healing spell slots available (don't worry about how much).

Rindelk moves to p7 and casts flaming sphere which will appear at the humanoid near Leek.
OOC: Not sure how to cast this thing.
If Leek can attack the creature with his other action, he will: BITE: Attack: 18 Damage: 6
If he can't then I will use up my action to get to the creature to attack it next round.

(Elila left to act in Round 2)
Elila attacks the nearby humanoid!
OOC: If I hit, use up a Superior Dice to do a tripple attack. (I'll roll again if I hit)(when I roll, do I roll 1d8 or 4d8?)
Attack: 8 Damage: 5
That definitely hits.

(Everyone gets 100 xp)
What do you all do now?
OOC: Can Kat heal the mules?
Yes, healing spells usually specify what it doesn't work for, like constructs and undead.
can we gather what time it is? based on the watch order.. are we just gone to bed, middle of night or near daybreak?
I'll go back to regular Leek to calm the mules
Elila had the first watch. Long rest is 8 hours, 4 of you taking turns on watch, so each watch is 2 hours long. It is still very much late evening.
Roll animal handling check.
There are two injured mules who appear to be unmoving while the other two are still panicking. Katerielle can heal the two hurt mules if she has two healing spell slots available (don't worry about how much).
Kat heals the mules.
