Gor attempts to pull the little Gnome out of her seat.
"Alright there, oah. We have ya'. You're okay, we aren't going to hurt anyone. Just look how adorable you are! You were trying to kill us! That's precious!"
"That can't be any of them Jay." - shouts irritated Biezdar for such a welcoming party. "Let's just tie her up for now!" - and he reaches to the side of his backpack to get the rope... but realizes he never took the rope back from the flying beast that he tried to entangle. - "or something..."- he adds with a little bummed voice.
Biezdar keeps his grip on the gnome for now and restrains himself from punching aggressive gnome in its face :P

“I don’t this she’s those people, Biezdar. Thanks, though. I *DO* however think that I don’t speak gnome, or gibberish, or whatever the hell she is babbling, but I’m willing to bet the names of two guys she knows and resides with will translate and ring a bell for her. The chick in the kitchen said they were who we needed to see, and I want little Miss Crossbow to point us toward them and I want her to do it sometime today!”
She doesn't seem to be listening to you Jayson. Just keeps spouting gibberish and doesn't seem to stop. There is only one path south out of the room, and the one you came from north. The crossbows have been unstrung so if she gets free, it will take some considerable time to get the machine working again so you are safe for now. She doesn't seem interested in physically attacking you at all
- Jeez ok Jayson, i am sorry if my comment offended you. I just did not picked up on that communication attempt you did back there. Good idea, shame it did not worked out. So... do we drag her with us? she seem obsessed with that contraption, i think we can leave her here and just avoid that place? I still hope to have at least neutral start with the gnomes, and carrying one around tied up might not look to good for us.
-Biezdar will leave the gnome behind and untie her unless anyone has another idea. (i do not know, maybe Gor will actually carry her around :P) and tries to catch up to Jayson.

Gor looks at the Gnome and picks her up by the ropes, then cradles her on one arm like a small child. A tied up small child.
"Well hello there, look at you. Yes you are a fiesty one, oah. What is your name? I'm Gor." He says, placing a hand on his chest as he says the word. "Gor! Gooooor. Now what is all this fuss about, oah? Are you angry? Possessed? Have you pooped today? I get cranky when I need to poop too. Perhaps you're hungry? I'm not myself when I'm hungry either. Hm."
He digs in his pocket and pulls out a dried ration that he attempts to feed into her mouth without getting his fingers bit off while she spouts gibberish.
"I think Gor got it covered Quin. Fun fact about wandering tribes. Gor originates from such a tribe. It is often the case that children are not that strictly tied to their parents as whole community cares for them and helps them grow up. So i have heard at least. That is some sort of equivalent of mothers instinct i think that Gor is showing now. That Gnome is in good hands."
Biezdar is making this theory as he goes.

”Communities that raise children have children who grow to be part of the community. I wish I’d had that as a kid. It always seems like half-elves typically belong to nobody and nowhere.”
He shrugs.
“That’s okay, though. It enabled me to move around and meet all kinds of good folks in all kinds of great places.”
The bard continues along, anticipating the eventual discovery of someone who might be in a position to help the party.
Quin just shrugs "Whatever...we can just leave her with the ones sleeping up ahead. Just figured it would be easier to explain a sketchy situation to someone who already knew we aren't hostile vs what this looks like. Didn't know if you had seen somebody like that near by or maybe in a previous room. Those other gnomes should be just up ahead."
Quin sets off down the south tunnel.
(Quin will reserve the dodge action the trigger being an attack on him.)
Gor, she is light for you. No issue carrying. She doesn't seem hungry, and as you walk away, she is trying to get free and back towards the broken crossbows. If you hold on, she is unable to get free, and she isn't hurting you in her attempt to get back there. Amongst the gibberish she is spouting, you here a repeated word in common mixed in with what is either gnomish or nonsense, you can't tell. "calibration"
As you walk down, you go past another cave exit, the waterfall really loud so you have to shout to be heard. You see two different routes, one leads to a room that has some barrels from what you can see without going closer, the other has a ledge. (map in spoiler)
On top of the ledge are two gnomes with crossbows. One shouts something out in gnomish, and the other then shouts in common “Who goes there?”
Hi there fellas, we come from phandalin, we got bussines with Dabbledob and Fiddlesdib! - Biezdar shouts and tries to be somewhat in front to eventually block the crossbow bolt.

Because she is small (creature size), between the two of you, you restrain her. She tries to escape and use the contraption but can't.
Everyone is up,

Quin disables the contraption by unstringing the bows.

Jayson moves up to the others and looks at the gnome.
”Dabbledob?? Fibblestib??”
Gor attempts to pull the little Gnome out of her seat.

Kosef is going to keep an eye out for anyone trying to sneak up on them from behind.
Perception Check: 11
The gnome says some things in a mixture of gnomish and common. But nothing coherent. You are able to get her out of the contraption though.

Gor sees what Biezdar is doing, and then reaches into his own pack and pulls out a rope to tie the Gnome up with.
"Oah, here! Let me help!"

Jayson points southward with his thumb.
”If her toy is out of commission, I say we proceed across the bridge. Kitchen lady said our two “in the know” contacts could be found there.”
Loaded crossbow in hand, the bard heads south.
