"Oh, I could go find Bram or Franz if you want some good illusions."
"Franz is good at illusions, but they tend to be more on the practical side. Like, he could make a really convincing cover to hide a doorway on a wall or to make an illusion of a waterfall, really convincing. But Bram, man he can make you doubt your own eye's. He has the creative and dramatic flair that just adds that little something that makes you believe they are real. When it comes to creatures, there's no contest, Bram's illusions look real and they act real."
"So, do you want me to see if I can find one of the others?"
Ospos: You still can't see the kobolds yet, as this tunnel curves back and forth. You get the sense that this may have been intentional design, making it so that invaders had to pass lot's of blindspots, unable to see what was ahead without potentially revealing theirselves. You do hear a slight gasp of surprise as your humanoid light rounds a corner about 60 feet up ahead. This is quickly followed by a sharp hiss, and the space ahead falls silent again. You also notice a wire strung across the tunnel in front of you, Clermar and Nodrus at the lead only a few steps away from tripping it when you spot it.
Liafial: (If anyone is trying to hide how they're feeling, they can make a contesting deception check. Otherwise it's up to y'all to describe how your characters are emoting when another character insight checks them)
During the commotion Dril attempts to hurry through the ritual casting of Alarm trying to finish before the rest of the party moves on. Suspiciously quiet, anyone that cares to notice can tell that Dril is not having the best time.

Frank see's Dril a little behind everyone, casting Alarm on the entrance to the tunnel. Seeing Dril not looking overly happy, but also not mentioning anything about it, Frank begins to comment,
"Hey Dril, you ok..."
As Ospos hisses out "Trip wire", Frank spins back to the rest of the group ahead,
"More traps?!"
Frank moves forward a little and investigates the area indicated by Ospos.
Investigation to check out the trip wire and any traps it might be a part of: 11
Stopping just short of the tripwire, Clermar whispers, "It seems like this place is full of traps ... I don't think you should head back Frank, didn't your friends stay outside? That's too far for one of us to go alone." Clermar seems relatively calm but he didn't seem to react to the plan one way or the other.
Frank: Since you can't reach the door itself on the ceiling, you instead try to disarm the trap by gingerly removing the string. This proves more difficult than you anticipated however, and as you try to maneuver the thread out of whatever mechanism it's attached to, you accidentally tug it a little to hard and hear a click. The door above opens, and what looks like the bladder of some large creature tumbles out. It pops, splashing you with an oily liquid that immediately stings as it finds your skin. The balloon-like organ also releases a puff of invisible but rank smelling gas.
Frank: Give me a Dex Save, on a fail take 1 acid damage, or half as much on a success
Frank, Clermar, Nodrus and Liafial (assuming y'all are still the closest): Give me a Con Save, on a fail take 1 poison damage, none on a success
Ospos pinches his nose at the rank smell and with a nasal whine to his voice, suggests, "We can always just trigger traps like those from a distance with a mage hand. Unless you're looking to practice disarming traps..."
(Dril was casting alarm on the workshop. He definitely wanted to cover the table where the party crossed, then the graffiti'd doors, then the entrance to the room that the party came from being of least importance)
responding to Liafial, "The jig is up, I bet all the inhabitants of this tunnel system know we are here. Anywhere we go is bound to have more or less the same, don't you think? I'd rather just teleport out of here with some jewels to repay that old bird but I know that is not an option. I just alarmed the workshop, we may want to continue, unless anyone has changed their minds about those doors in the workshop, I know that I didn't."
Dril has gained a smidge of confidence since completing his ritual.

Dex Save for Acid: 13
Con Save for the Gas: 18
(Edit: so 1 point of damage?)
Frank jumps back as the acid splashes down on the ground in front of him. Not noticing the Gas, Frank takes a breath to speak and starts having a coughing fit.
"You know what? I think I'll do just that. I'm not having the greatest luck today, Nean or whoever can take care of these traps from a safer distance."
Frank pulls out a small hunk of crystal from a pouch on his belt.
"Must have used up all the luck in my luck charm."
Frank holds the crystal up to the light and pears through it. Giving it a shake, he puts it back in the pouch.

"Oh I agree Halfling, perhaps you can keep your lights close to the party? These torches are great but that'd be a great help. I always excelled at puzzle exams during my curriculum so I s'ppose it's time to put that to the real test."
Frank perks up at Ospos mentioning Illusions,
"Oh, I could go find Bram or Franz if you want some good illusions."

Frank: Tracing the wire up the wall to the roof of the tunnel, you see the edge of some sort of trap door on the ceiling, right above the wire.

"Look here."
Frank points out the trap door above the trip wire.
"Everyone stand back and I will try to make this safe."
Once everyone is back from the trap door, Frank attempts to disable the trap.

Still pinching his nose, Ospos says in his nasal voice, "Can anyone make some wind, or at least a breeze, to disperse that gas?"
"There's nothing I can do about the gas, I suggest we press forward but Liafial is right, we need to keep a keen eye for traps."
