" I was hired and told at the beginning of the voyage that my only job was to hide in the shadows and protect the group. Obviously now you know I exist so I don't have to hide anymore."
Now that the gnome's fog has cleared a little, Korbiña sees their trail coming into the clearing. As it stands, the only thing the party has to go on is that there may still be a guide stationed at the southeastern end of the Vale. If their trail runs from the northwest...
"If the trail we followed runs from the northwest, we just need follow the sane direction onward to get southeast toward the bend that the captain described... then follow the river around the bend and from what I recall of the captain's words, we might need to cross the river to get to the meeting point.. "
Korbiña tries to draw out a makeshift map of the river bend around the bluff that the captain described, their crash site, their general location now, and where she thinks the meeting point is, by clearing an area on the ground and drawing with a stick she picks up from the ground
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thaux begins to observe the makeshift map that korbinã had created, then looks to the sky. (Should I roll survival to figure out how many hours until sundown? Because if so, I got a 10 for survival)
Gregory continues sitting not seeming to listen to the rest of the group. Then light mumbling can be heard from him as he dozed off while the group was chatting. His choice may or may not be rest up before a long hike.

As the group debates smashing a chest with a rock and maybe following g a path south, Quartz is content with the will of the majority in both cases. He is focused on attempting to comkjne with whatever u corrupted nature can be found nearby. If they do damage the chest, he reasons, he cam probably mend it: he is quite handy, after all. Knowing his fey friend, in the guise of an owl, must depart within the hour, he bids her farewell and thanks her for her speedy arrival. He then sits on a log and feels the Primal energy of the forest soaking into his body (natural recovery, applies if this is a short rest).
Starting at 2nd level, you can regain some of your magical energy by sitting in meditation and communing with nature. During a short rest, you choose expended spell slots to recover. The spell slots can have a combined level that is equal to or less than half your druid level (rounded up), and none of the slots can be 6th level or higher. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
"I guess if we instead go more east than south, we should be able to still hit the river with a good less distance... so we can make some good time. I hope.
If I see Gregory here nearly falling asleep, maybe we should indeed take a short rest before we continue..."
She shrugs and first marks the compass directions next to her map that she believes are right.
"Would someone collect some firewood with me, so we can warm and dry up a little?"
[Well, you were on the beach pretty late, say 3 o'clock. The crabs, flood and rest thereafter, let's say, a half hour, maybe 35 min. Then the lizard arrives, then the hyenas -- 15 mins. That puts things around 3:50. We'll say the food poisoning session was 5 or 6 minutes. Then the tracking session and subsequent hallucinations. Let's suggest the mist really makes you lose track of time and say 20 minutes. That leaves us around 4:16. Then let's add 3 minutes for this recuperation and we're left at 4:19.]
" I don't have any lockpicks with me but I could try to bash the lock off with a large rock."
Sorry I was writing that as korbina posted her response
" I was hired and told at the beginning of the voyage that my only job was to hide in the shadows and protect the group. Obviously now you know I exist so I don't have to hide anymore."
Korbiña nods...
"Alright... I see. Thank you then."
She turns to Gregory "Sorry again ... no, I'm not wounded"
She looks around...
"So what next? Gather our things and move on? Let me check if I can find out which direction is which..."
