Glynt will ask "Are there any non-magical ways to deal with Portia's wounds? If need be I can help her recover but if there's another way I'm keen to hear it." and then add "Once we are ready to move on again I think we should head up and see if we are going to be hit by anything else"
Six doors ahead in the hall, three on each side, all ajar. I can close them all from here with a spell, we wait a couple of minutes and see if anything happen?
Well, if we are continuing. Maybe we should try to find the source of these rats.
Looking to see where the rats came from.
Survival 9+3 with guidance =12
Even with aid that as high as I can get.
(By the way are we healing any wounds before we move on? I believe I have already used my short rest Hit dye. Unless you can use it again with another short rest? I am new to 5e and not sure how that works.)
(( OOC I used my hit die during the short rest I needed after a giant rat in rubble tore me apart ... I can't recall anyone else using their hit die as everyone should have been on Full as that happened just after our long rest. ))
Glynt will say "If we find somewhere safe we should be able to take a short (or long) rest to recover. It's pretty dangerous down here so I think we should take our time and be methodical."
MEEPO will say, "Theeza maze by zee onlyz ratz in the areaz." He looks a little harder with XANTH's assistance. "Fourz top-siderz tracks likez beforez. Hmmm. Onlyz three setz comez back."
(I think it is correct, only Glynt has taken a Short Rest since the last Long Rest. So, Xanth and Portia could take a short rest before venturing on, as it appears that the three Giant Rats were the only thing in this immediate area. By the way, it was a 15 Survival check required to get the detail on the tracks. Meepo took Advantage, and I am fine with Xanth taking advantage on Survival checks in the future. Meepo will always be willing to assist.)
(Also, during a Short Rest, you can attempt to identify magic items, of course with the red liquid, that would require tasting. An Arcana roll helps and Glynt has the best Arcana check, though Portia could assist and provide Advantage to the roll. And of course, Meepo can give a little Guidance to that too.)
The party tries to rework the fountain for more of the potion, but nothing happens.
The party will determine that the rats came from the direction of the six open doors. The four humanoid tracks first went the way of the rats, but only three tracks came back. These three tracks then went to the second western door and not the Skeletal Dragon door. PORTIA will determine that the Skeletal Door likely hasn't been opened in a long time. There is no lock to pick, and only the odd draconic expression, “Rebuke the dead, open the way.”
MEEPO will ponder out loud, "Wherez did the fourth one go?"
MEEPO loads up another flaming ball and hurls it at the second GIANT RAT. ATT 20 DMG 6
Glynt will fire another arrow at an alive Giant Rat (Meepo is ahead of him in the Initiative order so if Meepo kills #2 Glynt will attack #3)
Attack: 16 + 4 = 20
Damage: 6 + 2 = 8 - That's the first decent bit of damage that Glynt has done so far this campaign)
Xanth tries to spat a rat.
Attack= 23 Damage= 8
Off Hand
Attack= 25 Crit Damage= 13
(I don't think the rats have survived this round)
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
(Nope!)
The party pounces on the rats like a hungry cat. All the rats are dead.
(Next?)

" Those things have some shirt teeth."
[Ooc] 6/14 hp [/ooc]
RAGDOR with his darkvision will be able to see the hallway to the north. He will see six doors that look like they are all ajar.
(Fortress Level Part 4 map has been updated.)

MEEPO will also look around as well with that extra assistance from XANTH and a bit of magic. 18 + 2
MEEPO will say, "Theeza maze by zee onlyz ratz in the areaz." He looks a little harder with XANTH's assistance. "Fourz top-siderz tracks likez beforez. Hmmm. Onlyz three setz comez back."

If we do take a short rest somewhere I will perform an Arcana Check on the Potion by taking a tiny taste,
Arcana with Advantage: 22 PLUS Guidance 2
I will also have a better look at the Fancy Arrow I picked up earlier and do an Arcana on that too,
Arcana with Advantage: 20 PLUS Guidance 1
(I think a Short Rest would be good for Portia and Xanth.)
The arrow was easy. +1 Arrow
The potion was a bit more of a trick. potion of fire breath
Nice, so, down the hall to the six doors or check out the door to the west?
Short Rest HP 11 back to full.
Could we tell what way the rats came from?
Also should we try and take more of that Fire Beathing potion? I don't have anything to put it in unless Meepo has so containers.
Short rest with 3 healing. Now 8/9 health.
"Three tracks came back? Where have they gone? They didn't come back through your area so have they gone through the skull door?
