Nefire swings and it is impossible for her to miss the Goblin King... Except she does! Instead of her axe biting deep into the King's flesh, it is killing NewGobB who is suddenly standing where the king was, and they are where their underling was! (As a reaction, the Goblin King swaps places with another goblin who is within 5' of him...). Still, that is another Goblin down...
Now it is the Goblin King's turn to act... Kicking the newly dead lackey out of his way, swings twice at Nefire with his scimitar...
Scimitar vs Nefire: 6... miss Scimitar vs Nefire take two: Nat 20... For a rather disappointing 6 damage. (No offense, but a 1 and a 2 on the damage dice is disappointing on a crit...)
The Goblin King then reaches under the altar, grabs the unconscious girl up in his free hand and holds her up as a shield between himself and the home invaders...
"Leave! Now! Or she dies at your feet!" he calls out loudly in a broken and accented Common.
"NO!" Calls out the Aspirant and moves forward, hand clutching a multicolored cube as he chants out a prayer... The unconscious girl is sprinkled with tiny, luminescent glints of light which seem to surround her. (Sanctuary cast upon the girl...). ((Oh, that's only a BA spell.... As an action he... dodges, I guess.))
Krumar, Dabbert and Jordhubb are all up to act! Take your turn as your ready... Goblin King, Cursespitter and NewGobs C & D still remain.
Dabbert throws his shield up, blocking the two scimitar swings as the Cursey Guy runs and tries to clamber up the statue in the back of the room. Then the kid comes out, and the aspirant does something...
"We'll see about that..." Dabbert says, realizing this little magic goblin bastard is probably pretty important to what's going on. So he rushes forward, making a leap to try to grab the Cursespitter right off that statue and grapple him...
Turn Summary
Movement: Going after Cursespitter... Action: I have no idea what to do here so Dabbert is going to leap up to grab the Cursespitter.... Let me know what I may need to roll other than the Athletics for the jump... 12 Athletics to jump...
High Jump. When you make a high jump, you leap into the air a number of feet equal to 3 + your Strength modifier (minimum of 0 feet) if you move at least 10 feet on foot immediately before the jump. When you make a standing high jump, you can jump only half that distance. Either way, each foot you clear on the jump costs a foot of movement. In some circumstances, your DM might allow you to make a Strength (Athletics) check to jump higher than you normally can. So, you could jump 7 feet with a running start, half that without. Rolling the 12... Well it is better than average so I'd maybe give you 10' with a running start, maybe 7' without. Running start would be needed just to get below an adjacent square anyway and mean an oppo attack available to NewGobD. I guess technically NewGobC if you jumped 10' since the top of that would leave his range? But I would say one oppo attack only... SO... You could move 10' to be in adjacent square to Cursespitter and do a high jump to try to grab them and, I imagine, drag them back down to the ground. It would cost you an opportunity attack from a goblin, 25' of movement and you would need to make a grapple attack. I would probably give Cursespitter a very slight bonus to his roll to resist, maybe a +1 or 2 at most though. Just 'cause it seems a more difficult grapple than if you were on solid ground. On the other hand... You could try a normal ranged attack or deal with these regular goblins besides ya...
Jordgubb moves to the south of the altar opposite NewGobD and the sickly dragonborn retches, holds his stomach and spews a gout of poisonous magical breath over NewGobD&C (and depending on whether Dabbert's grapple is successful the CurseSpitter too)
Move: 10ft to the left
Action: breath weapon, 30ft line, Gobbos need to make a DC13 DEX save or take 6 poison damage, 3 on a save and the damage ignores resistance.
Krumar watches Dabbert run towards toe statue in what he figures is an attempt at getting the goblin hanging there. What a dolt he thinks to himself. He decides to shoot at the hanging Gobo and try to knock him out of the statue or kill him whichever happens, happens he figures.
Krumar's aim is true and his arrow plants itself into the Cursespitter's thigh... The scrawny goblin shaman squeals scornfully but does not fall. (Pending Dabbert...)
Botting Dabbert Rereading his post and thinking about what he is trying to do, no jump is needed. Dabbert wants to get the Cursespitter down off the statue so it's more open to be attacked. So Dabbert can go to the statue, climb up after the Cursespitter and then attempt the Shove action to try to knock it prone. Or at least that seems reasonable to me...
NewGobD gets an opportunity attack as Dabbert leaves their range and slashes out with their Scimitar. It hits, slashing Dabbert in the back as he passes. (23 to hit for 6 damage.) Dabbert shrugs this off, determined to drag the spellcasting goblin back down to the ground! Taking a bit of a running start, Dabbert jumps up onto the statue and starts climbing up towards the sniveling beast and, once about even with it, thrusts out a hand with an open hand in an attempt to shove it off...
Dabbert Athletics Attempt to Shove: 8 (or 10, see below) Cursespitter 14
((See, now I feel bad I rolled so crappy for Dabbert. I always roll like shite. Screw it, I am throwing it to the party in channel... Nefire rolled a 10 (4+6) so I don't feel as bad...))
Dabbert is unsuccessful knocking the Cursespitter Goblin off the statue and the two are both about 10' up it side by side, more or less... ___
The Cursespitter, on his turn snarls in contempt at Dabbert and his attempt to dislodge him and does the same right back, but in his own curse-spewing way. Whisper-spitting out some arcane goblin-ese they cast Dizzying Hex on Dabbert! ((The cursespitter chooses one creature they can see within 60 feet of them. The target must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target falls prone and can’t stand back up for 1 minute (save ends at end of turn))) ((I rolled a Nat 1 on Dabbert Wis save so I am instead once again tossing it to Discord for someone else to roll... 10 rolled by Jordgubb so still a fail. Dabbert really should not let us bot him...)) Dabbert falls prone, thus off the statue and down to the ground, taking falling damage of 2... Dabbert is at the base of the statue, prone, and must make a successful DC12 Wis save at the end of his turns to get back to his feet. Though prone, I see nothing that would prevent him taking actions and such in the meanwhile...
Cursespitter then climbs up to the stop of the statue (which is an impressive 35' or so, it's all but to the ceiling) and peers down at the chaos below...
___
NewGobC, seeing such a tasty treat fall at it's feet, goes all Stabby against Dabbert with it's scimitar...
NGC Scimitar vs Dabbert: 5 or 19 for 23 to hit for 7 damage... Dabbert is unconscious.
NewGobC smiles and sees a bonus in his future. High up above, the Cursespitter cackles in delight...
___
NewGobD moves up next to his king (Stepping on the body of one of it's deceased brethren, which has been deleted from the map for clarities sake) and attacks Nefire, hoping for similar results...
NGD Scimitar vs Nefire: 6 to hit... which doesn't.
Seeing Dabbert fall is a bit of a shock to the halfling that was always trying to one up him. Well, this took the fun out of that. And she winces as the goblin stabs him into unconsciousness. The whole situation has turned on a dime and it makes the young halfling rage.
Yelling out a battlecry, she ignores the new goblin and again attacks the King.
With a halflingic YAWP Nefire ducks up the Goblin King! With a mighty swing she has the dude stumbling, bumbling, weebling, wobbling... But he does not go down.... Not quite. (How the heck is a level 1 halfling doing 17 pt damage on a non-crit?? I mean she did, I get it... but ouch.)
The Goblin King yelps. Like YEEEOOOOOUUULLLLPS! Cause that shit hurt. A lot. Or... you know... It would have. But it's good to be the king, baby! The Goblin King uses his reaction for: Redirect Attack. When a creature the goblin can see targets it with an attack, the goblin chooses another goblin within 5 feet of it. The two goblins swap places, and the chosen goblin becomes the target instead.
So the Goblin King redirects the attack to NewGobD instead of himself and as a result NewGobD is a big pile of messy, sloppy, unappetizing sushi... No more NewGobD.
On his own turn, the Goblin King looks around at the butchery and slaughter that the invaders have wrought upon his people and, in a rage, he flees... He books it like he was trying to win Olympic Gold which, amusingly for some, leaves him almost face to face with Krumar in the hallway far away from everyone else. That is assuming Nefire doesn't totally whallop him on her Opportunity Attack?
Next Up: Krumar, RBA, Dabbert and Jordgubb...
RB Aspirant rushes right up to Dabbert, disregarding a potential Goblin Kind rushing right at him or the fact that there's a goblin right next to the unconscious fighter - Someone is down and the Aspirant knows his duty. As such, rushing up to him, he waves his staff over his prone companion, mutters a few quiet yet powerful words, and healing energies float down and bring Dabbert back from the brink... ((Dabbert healed for the 15... but Dabbert gets 12 since that is his max.))
Jordgubb knows that the job won't be over until the king is dead, and so against his better judgement he turns his back on Dabbert, Before and RBA.
Giving chase, Jordgubb pulls a vial of something homemade from his pack and pours it over his already magically reinforced quarterstaff. The mushrooms covering the staff in it's shillelagh suck up the liquid poured over them and they begin to glow a sickly green. The dragonborn swipes at the king. (25 to hit, 6 magical bludgeoning damage) As the strike hits the glowing mushrooms shake glowing spores over the king and soak poison into his wounds (DC 14 con save or take 15 poison damage, ignores resistances, and become poisoned until the end of Jordy's next turn. On a save nothing happens)
Move; full 30ft south
BA; apply poison, poisoners feat.
A; attack, with shillelagh + additional poison dam
Jordgubb, digging through his kit and pulling out his bits and bobs which allow him to apply his poisonous attitude onto his weapons, skedaddles after the king as best he can. Just as it appears he's too caught up in coating his shillelagh with his special sauce to keep his feet from tangling, he shoves everything but his weapon back into his pack and takes precise aim at the King's noggin. Like Casey at bat, Jordgubb swings out mightily and connects to the back of the king's head. The king stumbles and bumbles but seems to regain his feet behind him even as he rubs the wound... But then he coughs. And coughs again. And again. There is a short coughing fit but it gets more and more brutal until the Goblin King finally coughs up his last... and falls.
The king is dead...
((Ooops, I had totally forgotten the King took the captive girl as a human shield... But we'll just assume that he tossed her aside as he decided to try to run and escape... Tied up girl is lying at the foot of the statue, we'll say.))
As the king topples Jordgubb turns on his heel and eyes the other goblins raising his staff in the air triumphantly he yells out in goblish "YOUR KING IS DEAD! BY GOBLIN CODE I AM YOUR RULER, STAND DOWN!" The dragonborn is not actually certain of strict goblin code working that way, but he at least has the cheek to take the chance where he sees it.
Krumar-bot Seeing the Goblin King downed by the cannibalistic dragonborn, Krumar decides he really doesn't need to see what comes next and skedaddles up the hallway and towards the others. Still safely well away from the action, he presumes, the Half-Orc pulls out his lute, quickly does his best to tune it, then belts out what some recognize as a song? It's vaguely melodic and kind of rhymes and is something about a wicked king being dead? Whatever it is, it sounds like munchkins should be singing it... Oddly, Nefire unconsciously hums along...
(We'll call his singing) Vicious Mockery vs NewGobC, as Krumar likely doesn't want to mess with the cursespitter? But NewGobC makes his save (16 vs DC 14) so no change but Krumar's position...
Dabbert-Bot Dabbert is conscious again but prone... And makes his save at the end of his turn to try to end the condition. As such, he does what he can which is to attack NewGobC at disadvantage since it is right there in range.
Spear Attack at Dis: 17 or Nat 1 Bonus Action attack with butt end via Polearm Master: 7 or 4 to hit
Both attacks miss and NewGobC scoffs down at him with glee...
End of Turn DC 12 Wis Save to be able to end condition: 18+2 for 20. Dabbert can get to his feet at the start of his next turn... yay
CurseSpitter
The Cursespitter Goblin uses his last use of summoning and calls forth two more goblins into the battle! These goblins appear right below him and immediately start to fall but use their reactions to grab onto the statue before they go splat... (NGE and NGF)
The Cursespitter then reaches up to the ceiling and with the nails of his hands and feet digging into every crack and nook, skitters across the ceiling to the northwest corner where he seemingly disappears!
NewGobC
(I'm playing too many characters here! lol) This goblin sees a prone Dabbert at it's feet and is only too happy to try to take advantage of him! Well, not of him... of the situation. Yeah, that sounds better. NewGobC slashes down at Dabbert with it's scimitar with advantage!
NGC Scimitar Attack: 6 or 8+4 for 12 to hit... Which misses!
NewGobC considers fleeing but notices his reinforcements up on the statue so holds it's ground... Perhaps he can be the new king!
NEFIREto act!! Then the newest of the new goblins...
Nefire laughs at Jordgubbs antics and the fact that he took care of the nuisance Goblin King. Just as she was about to try and figure out how to get to the Curse spitter, he disappears. She is starting to wonder who to attack next when NewGobC has the audacity to attack her friend while he is down!
Shouting out her battlecry once more, she cleaves the creature in two.
New Gob C is erased from existence... Except for a rather impressive splatter of blood and viscera. The Red Branch Aspirant's robes get splattered but the prone Dabbert is absolutely drenched in bits and bobs of ex Gob.
The last of the New Goblins climbs down the statue with ease and grace... And proceed to immediately attack! NewGob E goes after the roped RBA, NewGobF goes after Nefire. They both more or less ignore the prone Dabbert, assuming he is dead.
NGE vs RBA Scimitar Attack: 20to hit for 6slashing damage
NGF vs Nefire Scimitar Attack: 15to hit for 8 damage... but I believe that misses.
The Aspirant, shocked at suddenly being in melee and unsure what to do, attempts to bat the goblin away with his staff...
RBA Staff attack vs NewGobE: 13to hit for 4bludgeoning damage (A miss...)
Krumar and Jordgubb are up to act! Dabbert as well though I may need to bot him again after those two act...
Jordgubb rushes left past Krumar (15ft north west) then approaches the gaggle of fighting on ther western flank (15ft north) not able to get forward much more Jordgubb pulls out a handaxe and knowing that the redbranch would likely not approve of their aspirant dying here he launches the axe toward NewGobE (16 to hit, 9 slashing damage) shouting out in goblish "your CurseSpitter ran for his life and your king isss dead, come avenge your master if you think you're strong enough" hoping to aggro the gobbo.
Krumar stays exactly where he is and lets loose another arrow (18 hit 9 damage) “What expert marksmanship. That is what we call maximum effort. I will provide lessons once we get out of this bloodbath”
Annnnnnd.... we're effectively out of initiative. Technically NewGobF has 2 HP left but Dabbert, still prone, slashes out and stabs his spear into it's ankle, doing it in... or something.
What next? There are no living Goblins left to be seen, Dabbert soonly breaks out of the voodoo that had been keeping him prone, the kidnapped girl is safe... Anything you all want to do here or...?

New Gob C is erased from existence... Except for a rather impressive splatter of blood and viscera. The Red Branch Aspirant's robes get splattered but the prone Dabbert is absolutely drenched in bits and bobs of ex Gob.
The last of the New Goblins climbs down the statue with ease and grace... And proceed to immediately attack! NewGob E goes after the roped RBA, NewGobF goes after Nefire. They both more or less ignore the prone Dabbert, assuming he is dead.
NGE vs RBA Scimitar Attack: 20 to hit for 6 slashing damage
NGF vs Nefire Scimitar Attack: 15 to hit for 8 damage... but I believe that misses.
The Aspirant, shocked at suddenly being in melee and unsure what to do, attempts to bat the goblin away with his staff...
RBA Staff attack vs NewGobE: 13 to hit for 4 bludgeoning damage (A miss...)
