Cole moves to Square C3 and tries to shrug off the effects of the slowing spell by lashing out with a foot. The spell is obviously still affecting him because the Black Earth Guard easily sees the blow coming and simply dodges. Cole is unable to fight his way clear of whatever it is that is slowing him and it will continue to affect him next round.
As Gotrek gets close, he recognises the armour and starts to see red. Yelling in fury, he finishes his charge towards the closest stone armoured soldier ending up in D3, where he makes a mighty and reckless swing of his Great-Axe which chops deeply into the armoured human’s thigh inflicting 25 points of slashing damage. He then raises his knee in his signature follow-up move but the effort of fighting whilst wrapped in toffee means that he is barely able to lift it off the floor. Like Cole, Gotrek is unable to fight his way clear of whatever it is that is slowing him and it will continue to affect him next round.
Tibold glances out the window once more, before whipping around again at the sound of their new opponent. "Two's company, but three's a crowd,"he warns the others, then blinks, a half-smile forming on his face. He turns slowly, almost casually, towards the enemy mage. "So! You call us 'rats,' but you look more like a snail, yourself, in that armor. But no matter. Snails are easily crushed; you will be the same. But it is interesting to see what kind of 'powerful' magic you cultists wield. The others we so easily killed had little to boast about."Tibold takes a breath, grinning darkly at the mage from his leaning pose against the window. "I'll make you an offer, because I like your sense of style: Leave now, and I won't disintegrate you just yet." The man in the stone robes looks around at the four members of the party and sneers at Tibold “um, exactly you and what army?” He clasps his chin in one hand and strikes what he thinks to be a classic ‘thinker pose’ and then says “how’s this for alternative, you all drop your weapons now and crawl to me on your hands and knees and I consider not killing you all!”He then thinks a bit a more and says as he throws a small chip of mica at the party “perhaps this will help you to make up your minds!”
Still sitting on the floor, Thromkor looks at the new arrival, but decides the guards are the bigger threat. He focuses on the one still holding its weapon and raises a clawed hand at it, speaking a few words in Draconic. Numbing frost forms on its stone armor and it is as if its weapon suddenly get heavier. By the way whatever it that was slowing Thromkor seems to have dissipated and he feels like he can now move more freely. Seeing that Cole and Gotrek are still trapped, it is possible that the spell is retreating.
Suddenly there is a loud shattering noise (Shatter (Constitution Save DC 13 to take 7 points of thunder damage otherwise 15 points of thunder damage) and all of the ink bottles on the drawing tables near Cole, Gotrek and Thromkor explode scattering ink over what drawings and manuscripts that are left. Gotrek collapses to the ground holding his ears but dwarvefully clambers back to his feet {still editing re: Cole & Thromkor}
The first armoured human swings his Morning Star (2 handed) at Cole (AC 16 - slowed) Attack: 22 Damage: 12) and then continues the swing in an effort to hit Gotrek (AC 15 - slowed) Attack: 23 Damage: 7 which because of Gotrek's rage he barely notices taking only 2 points of actual piercing damage.
Not having a weapon to attack Cole with the second armoured human (Black Earth Guard #2) settles for using his stone gloves (1d3 damage). He swings once and (Attack: 21 Damage: 6) and then follows up with a second swing (Attack: 21 Damage: 6).

Cole tries to kick his opponent again but once again the slowing force means that the kick is telegraphed and the Black Earth Guard nimbly steps away.
Frustrated at being slowed by some unknown force, Gotrek wildly swings with all his force at the stone knight (i.e. Black Earth Guard), however whatever force was slowing Gotrek continues to do so and whilst the blow lands it does not inflict any damage. On the positive side, the slowing force continues to retreat and Gotrek feels full movement coming back to his limbs.

Staying determined, Thromkor continues to focus on the Black Earth Guard still holding its weapon. He raises a clawed hand casting Frostbite at it and speaks a few words in Draconic. Numbing frost forms on its stone armor and its ability to swing its weapon freely seems to be affected.
The guy in the stone robes looks at Tibold and says “I’ve really had enough of your smart mouth! Here catch.” as he fling a black blob of something at Tibold. Tibold manages to nimbly dodge out of the way of whatever it was but it lands on the desk between Gotrek and Tibold and bursts coating Gotrek in scalding acid for 6 points of acid damage.
The first armoured human swings his Morning Star (2 handed) at Cole (AC 16 - slowed) [Attack: 10 Damage: 11]) and then continues the swing in an effort to hit Gotrek (AC 17) [Attack: 21 Damage: 8] which sails harmlessly over Gotrek's head.
Not having a weapon to attack Cole with the second armoured human (Black Earth Guard #2) settles for using his stone gloves (1d3 damage). He swings once and [Attack: 16 Damage: 6] and then follows up with a second swing [Attack: 6 Damage: 6].
"Poor aim, dropping their weapons...we can take these rockheads easily!" he calls to the others, summoning his spectral keyboard. Then Tibold launches into a quick series of arpeggios, creating a rousing melody that fills his allies with vigor.
Tibold's last Bardic Inspiration use spent: He and his allies gain 5 temporary hitpoints and can use their reaction to disengage and move, if they'd like.

Thromkor uses Tibold's bardic inspiration to stand and move back 10 feet, then uses his own movement to move back to K3. Limping backward, he raises a clawed hand at the armed warrior and speaks a few words in Draconic. Numbing frost forms on its armor.

The Battle in the Scriptorium – Round 4
Initiative: ?, Cole, Tibold & Gotrek [simultaneous], ?, Thromkor, ?, ?, Quarbo, Black Earth Guard #1, ?, Black Earth Guard #2, Sacred Stone Monk #7
His movements slowed and as a result of his wounds Cole opts to focus on defense and dodge, whilst at the same time willing and willing himself to be able to move normally again. Somehow Cole’s increase of focus on moving freely works and feels himself able to move freely again.
Gotrek attempts another big wild swing at the guard in front of him. Wild swing is right as the blow completely misses. However, his knee to the Black Earth Guard’s midsection is far more effective, doing 9 points of piercing damage, and rupturing its diaphragm. The Guard drops to the ground gasping for breath and soon lays still.
Tibold smirks at the enemy mage. "Poor aim, dropping their weapons...we can take these rockheads easily!" he calls to the others, summoning his spectral keyboard. Then Tibold launches into a quick series of arpeggios, creating a rousing melody that fills his allies with vigor.
Thromkor uses Tibold's bardic inspiration to stand and move back 10 feet, then uses his own movement to move back to K3. Limping backward, he raises a clawed hand at the armed warrior and speaks a few words in Draconic. Once again numbing frost forms on its armor slowing its movement.
The guy in the stone robes looks at the party whilst juggling three small balls of what look like solid molasses (if that is even possible) in the air and says “this is really a most efficacious spell when I want to collect slaves,”he turns to Tibold and glares at him and continues “unfortunately I can't get you and your colleagues as well but perhaps you realizing that you will soon be lone will be sufficient to close your mouth.”
Cole, Gotrek and Thromkor – Wisdom saving throw please
The Black Earth Guard that was hitting Cole with its fists takes the opportunity to wrench the Morning star from its dead compatriots hands and as a result of pressure from behind the door moves to C3 where it swings first at Gotrek (Attack: 10 Damage: 13) embedding his morning star in Gotrek's shoulder for 6 points of actual piercing damage, he then manages to wrench it free and continue the swing onto Tibold (Attack: 25 Damage: 16). As it leaves the combat with Cole he takes the opportunity to attack kick it in the rear inflicting 9 points of bludgeoning damage which obviously hit it in the kidneys.
Then three more monks flood into the room, almost surrounding Cole. Two of them take up ready stances but the other (in C2) erupts in a flurry of blows (first attack: Attack: 5 Damage: 8), (second attack: Attack: 13 Damage: 5).
Even if Cole fails his save against the Slow spell both attacks from SSM#7 will miss.
Initiative for next round: Cole, Tibold & Gotrek [simultaneous], Sacred Stone Monk #9, Thromkor, Sacred Stone Monk #8, Quarbo, Black Earth Guard #1, ?, Black Earth Guard #2, Sacred Stone Monk #7
Gotrek laughs at the attempt to be slowed again, fueled by his rage turns to the other guard and does his one-two combo of a big swing followed by a knee to the midsection. (reckless attacks.)
