The door is, as Ginko finds, locked, but you can unlock it with the simple turn of a mechanism from inside the room; the door opens. Ginko discovers a hallway connected to the dragon altar room; he can also see through a doorless doorway into a new room. Right off he can see what looks like a large fire pit.
*** How far are we from the goblins currently? I'm assuming we can hear them talking? Ginko isn't going to try and move, but is going to try and get down on all fours silently.

Koohe moves forward quietly attempting a sneak attack with her daggers. stealth17
Attack : 9 Damage 5
Attack : 22 Damage 4
If things dont go well for her, she will drop and grovel/beg as a distraction -
Grovel, Cower, and Beg
Once per short rest as an action, you can cower to distract foes. Until the end of your next turn, allies gain advantage on attacks against enemies within 10 ft. of you that can see you.
"If things dont go well for [Koohe], she will drop and grovel/beg as a distraction -" leaving Spine free to bury a couple axes in whatever comes towards us.
Think I've got the attack rolls right:
8 (6if advantage for some reason) to hit for 5 damage
and
23/13 for 2damage
(By the way, proper adventurer should probably play to his strengths (and style!) with finesse weapons. I'd like to keep an eye open for rapiers, scimitars and the like as we go on.)
OOC the daggers and rapier I use are finesse but the goblins use javelins as well that I believe fit that need as well. I'd given what I had to the halflings - but we should be able to find those quickly.
** just missing your art Joan - thanks for the little campfire goblins - adorable.
One of the goblins sees her! "Look, behind you!" But the other goblin, thinking this is just part of the scary campfire story, doesn't turn to look until it's too late: Koohe stabs the goblin in the back, ending his life! Yellow-Spine follows up by rushing in with his axe, finishing off the other goblin.
About the room. Crudely executed symbols and glyphs, scribed in bright green dye, decorate this large and irregularly shaped crumbling chamber. A large pit in the chamber's center shows evidence of a recent bonfire. A small wooden bench draped with green cloth stands in the corner, and upon it sits several small objects. There are five doors in this room.
Ginko will move to the bench with the objects and play with them. Can he tell what they are? Regardless he is playing Kobolds and Deer. Much like tag, except he only plays it when he's hungry because when he catches the deer, he eats it.

Traxx excited by the symbols and glyphs hurries into the room. He begins investigating the walls to see if he can recall anything or anything looks familiar.

Tarkin | Human | Fighter 1 -> Rise of the Rough Riders
Kuno| Half Elf male | Rogue 2 Wielding a Rapier, dagger and leather armor.
Traxx says to the group "I think we entered a sacred goblin temple. This may not be as simple as just exploring and setting up a new kobold settlement. We may have to go to war. These symbols speak of their Dark Gods. We should explore more and the Lady will definitely want to know about this."
Traxx takes out some parchment and charcoal and does a rubbing of the symbols on the walls to send back with the messenger.
(OOC: Can we assign one of the NPC's as a permanent message runner? Have we heard back from the previous messages we sent? If not how long does each message take to get there and then receive a reply?)

(I'm actually not sure which corner it's supposed to be in, from the map it looks like it may actually be the rectangle in the center of the room?)
(Yes, you can send one of the NPCs to relay information to the kobold tribe; Moss left with one of them, lets say Donk, so Sparkle and Soup are available. Ukoo is sticking around for now. It takes about two days to reach the tribe and return.)
"What you see spiny?" Ginko will push Yellow-Spine out of the way and try to barge through the door!

Koohe readies her bow and stands to one side ready to fire. She visually searches in the shadows for any other movement besides the flames.
perception 20 :D
"I hear Warrik the hobgoblin's patrol came back without him; they say he was eaten by tiny dragons!"
"No way! Really?"
"Yeah, can you believe it? I hear his route wasn't far off from this site, actually..."
"Ooo, scary!"

Koohe heads for the bench with the objects on it having no experience with Glyphs and offers to play with Ginko while investigation 12.
**if Spine would like to use my rapier for now - please let me know. She generally uses daggers or bow, its a back up.

** What is the large thing in the lower half of the room? Or is it a figment of my imagination?
(Aha! You are not wrong; it is a large cage. Meepo, revisiting his dragon tamer's role, suggests that it could serve as a pen for a small dragon.)
