Arafiel casts ICE Knife at centermost Hobgoblin -sculpting the spell around Ian, Tyrus, and Conalt

You create a shard of ice and fling it at one creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 piercing damage. Attack: 25 Damage: 2  Hit or miss, the shard then explodes. The target and each creature within 5 feet of it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw 14 or take 2d6 cold damage. 6

Conalt gets up, looks around, and casts Mass Healing Word once he gets within 60 feet of the commander, targeting as many people as possible including himself, Tyrus, and the commander.

He then turns to the hobgoblin that knocked him down and utters a Word of Radiance. (DC 15 CON save or 8 damage).

Despite Tyrus show of strength in resisting the shield bash, he misses with both of his swings.  All of the characters regain 6 hp due to Conalt's spell.

From behind the Hobgoblin, the commander reaches into his satchel and pulls out a potion to heal himself.

Ian resists the shield bash and hits solidly with his daggers forcing the Hobgoblin to the ground.

Arafiel misses badly with the spell almost hitting Tyrus.

"Seems that the 'likes that you see with me' just saved your arse," Tyrus shouts at the commander. Tiring, but bent on finishing this fight, he slashes twice more at a hobgoblin, first cutting low across its knees, then diagonally upward into its torso.

Conalt sends his Spiritual Weapon speeding off toward the Hobgoblin that knocked him down earlier, then takes a swing with his mace.

Two of the Hobgoblin are seriously injured with the one fighting Ian near death.  The one fighting Tyrus and the Commander is clearly the strongest and also the second most damaged.  The one fighting Conalt only has slight wounds.

Instead of fighting back, the one fighting Ian attempts to get up and flee to his mount. 18

 He is able to get up but no farther.
