Also, I was trying to roll insight to see if Sharn could understand what caused Sera to look so upset all of a sudden, but with an 8 I highly doubt it.
Skill checks don't fail unless there's simply no way to succeed. They just give different information... sometimes inaccurate information. I'll PM you.

Aight, that's interesting, a fun way to run it. Much appreciated.
You don't have to name your mercenary troupe, but if you do, you can gain renown as a troupe, become a registered guild, and grow that guild. It could include things like a guild hall, membership (which means your party will receive passive dues from new members [who are NPCs], and even receive a seat on the council. It's not integral to the game, but I thought it was a fun little mechanic I wanted to throw in.
Kenders are in my point of wiew (and also Sera assuming she share the assumtion ;) ). Joyful , optimistic and utterly fearless. Until proven oposite.
As for troupe names we can be : "The Santech Vow". Reflecting the mission to stand our ground and help this settlement. Or "The Dawnbound. a hopeful name signefying our fight for better times and resisitng Thakisis darkness...
Couple points to clarify: Are we receiving Gold coins or Steel coins?
If the latter are hen are we using the currency conversion spreadsheet posted at the beginning of the forum to convert over to D&DB currency to allow for in game tracking? (100 steel coins equals 20 platinum or 4000 gold depending on the conversion)
Do we declare all actions in this thread or can some actions be PM’d to the GM as they may be available plot or character points?
Merkas is totally ok with Dawnbound, think droppeing “The” fromit would be more dramatic.

Oof, I reaaaaallly need to update post 1 of the OOC. 😅
As for conversion, Larskolstad kept it pretty simple for us. It's really just a flavor-text. Swap the word "Gold" for "Steel" and swap the word "Electrum" for "Gold". So, in order of lowest to highest value in terms of denomination you have:
Copper, Silver, Gold (Instead of Electrum), Steel (Instead of Gold), Platinum.
This is a nod to Dragonlance lore, where gold is so plentiful that inflation has actually reduced its value. What is valuable is steel, which can be melted down to make weapons and armor. So, it's considered an extravagance to be able to waste steel on something like a coin, when it could be used to defend a home, family, or town. Gold will still be a fairly common denomination. It's just big payers like government officials will have access to large denomination coins to make business transactions easier.
Sorry for the edits in the IC thread I misread the post from Sera. and had to change what I planned on because Verhanna had acted before I finished my post.
Even though Verhannas isn't very personable, I want to assure you that the world I create is largely pansexual, and easily enamored by adventurers, due to their relative rock star status in Krynn. Feel free to have fun with the world. She just likes numbers more than most people. And by that, I mean she likes numbers more than most people do and she likes numbers more than she likes most people. 😄
Due to a phenomenal roll by Hrothbert_Neruca, Merkas has gleaned about as much from a Perception check you can gain of Verhannas. Her dossier has been updated. Some things can only be unlocked through RP, though, and other things are limited by proficiencies and backstory.
Even in the darkest times, love shines bright, and as you were travelling through Santekh, you met a physical manifestation of it: a cherub with little wings and a bow strapped to their back. Upon meeting the little celestial being, they open a sack and invite you to reach in!
Sorry for the clipped responses In the game thread, I was just trying to keep up! I’ll try to flesh out my post.more a little later.

Just went over it again to be sure I didn’t miss anything. And you are to kind to Merkas. We’re barely introduced.
Sera thank you for accepting the comfort of the diminutive kender.
