[Very sorry but I‘ve realised I must have missed a lot of posts, however I’ve gone back and made sure to read through them all, and since Callow got shot at and took 25 damage (the third attack missed luckily!) he reverts to his regular form after he loses the badgers 13 hit points, and then takes the remaining 12 hit points of damage, leaving him at 3! He’ll now instead attack Grunt 4 with his quarterstaff, two-handed, with a 17 to hit and 8 bludgeoning damage on a hit, sorry again and I’ll make sure to make sure that I’ve read everything next time before posting!]

Callow refrains from moving forward any further for the time being, and instead tends to his wounds, placing a hand to one of the crossbow bolts in his shoulder and flooding himself with nature's energy, each of the three bolts suddenly sprouting to life and then dropping out of the holes in his rugged form, leaving him a little better off then he was before. He then turns and begins to move towards the crossbow arms, trudging through the ploughed dirt but picking up a pace, as if he's building up momentum so he can shift once again.
Callow: Casts cure wounds on himself and recovers 5 hit points, then moves 15 feet towards the crossbow arms (full movement since he's in difficult terrain)
If so he'll dash to get to it, if not he should be able to make it without dash.

He wants to aim and shoot the ballista at the oncoming main force. Not sure if he can do that alone or this turn, but that would be his plan. If he needs help, he will call out to the others.

Yep, in difficult terrain. Hard to see the difference since the whole map at the moment is indicating difficult terrain, but the reddish-shaded areas are representing difficult terrain.
How far is the closest and farthest group behind us?
~100 ft. Big bulk of their forces. 40ft normal terrain. ~60ft. rough terrain.
[[ As an aside, it's certainly a large enough force that the characters would know fighting it is beyond them. (Though shooting ballista bolts at it / giving the town forces the ballistas certainly is one way that can aid the overall defense of Chesterfeld.) ]]
Note: For siege weapons I'll see about using the optional cleaving rules. Where if an attack does enough damage to kill a creature and there's another target within reach that the attack would also hit, can keep the damage going. (So if a 3d10 piercing ballista bolt rolled a 15 for the attack and 21 damage while being aimed at a row of commoners it would hit, killing 5 and then doing 1 damage to the remaining.) Might fine-tune this if needs be.
