"The waterdhavian burgundy will be fine." The young dark-haired lady says as she follows the tavern keeper upstairs. She raises an eyebrow as she sees their quite alluring contact, having at first trouble seeing someone like her being tricked out of anything. It was a shame, and it had to be corrected. "The question I think is rather how we can help you dear, we have been told you might need some assistance with collecting recompense from a former partner."Delilah says calmly as she takes a seat opposite the rather scantily clad tiefling, giving Mavilius a quick curious glance to spot his reaction.
At Delilah’s glance, the bard meets her eyes briefly, a subtle twitch at the corner of his mouth betraying a flicker of amusement. Their contact is quite a beauty, but he's mostly just jealous of her wings. He turns his attention to Verity, all polish and charm. “Indeed,” he says, voice smooth and inviting, “We're here to correct an injustice, not cast judgment. You have a story, and I, for one, do enjoy a good tale—especially the kind that ends with the right people being properly compensated.”He leans in slightly, gold eyes gleaming. “So, do tell."
Going by the glasses we are expecting the rest of your group, let's wait for them so I don't have to say it twice. Anyway was it High Cleric Althea that sent you?
It takes much of Exa's self control not to sit herself down at one of the myriad gambling tables and try to liberate some of the tavern's patrons' gold. Her fingers itch with anticipation, eager to throw some cards or dice. But she manages to keep her mind on their task and eventually steps into the room upstairs.
Greeted with the devilish beauty of their contact, Exa grins coyly at Verity and then gives her a deep curtsy.
Kyreth joins the rest of the group, unfazed by the gambling tables, or the tiefling in front of them. He takes a seat and nods to her "I believe we're all here now."
The private room in the Brine Widow is well appointed, with a polished wood table, paintings of local landscapes, and wrought-iron lanterns. Platters on the table are piled with food, and a pot of tea steams in the center of the table.
"Thank you for accepting my invitation whether it was Althea or the Golden Vault. I'm Verity Kye, and what I'm about to discuss with you requires the utmost secrecy. I can't stress to you enough how important it is that you speak nothing of what you hear within these four walls."
"We just finished a jo-"she catches herself before she dilvuges the details of their museum gig and gives Verity another grin. This time it comes with a wink.
She looked at each of them then finally nodded. "The Afterlife Casino is a new Nine Hells–themed attraction just outside town. The owner, Quentin Togglepocket, built it using prize money he stole from me, and I'd like you to give him hell. He's hosting a tournament there. I want you to steal the erinyes statuette he plans to award as a prize, embarrassing him in front of the big names at the tournament. I also want you to steal back the five thousand gold pieces he stole from me. Bring the statuette and the gold here, where I'll be waiting for you."
The 3 Dragon Ante tournament is due to start in 2 days they will play for 4 days. The casino is still looking for staff so the tieflings amongst you can probably get a job there. I expect you to look out for yourselves when you open the vault to get my money. Anything above what I want, is yours to take. I'll even lend you my bag of holding for my share and the statue. It opens quite happily but has a password to take goods out. She holds out a purple bag with red piping.
The bard smiles as his theory about the casino's theme is confirmed. And another Bag of Holding? "How generous of you. We'll make good use of it. Can you tell us more about these 'big names' at the tournament?"
After a frown at losing her copper coin to Verity's unique bag of holding, Exa turns her attention to the map. She studies it closely, her sharp eyes wandering the parchment. She takes note of something curious.
The young dark-haired lady listens attentively, and then she studies the map, then as Exa asks her question she looks up at the alluring tiefling to hear her response.
The security mirrors are apparently all through the Casino to keep watch over employees and clients alike. They are a Zhent artifice, whatever is seen in the mirrror is also seen in its partner mirror in the security room. Magic mirrors if you will. If one is smashed its partner no longer works. She says.
Yes the doors to employee only areas have a bright green trim and are magically locked. You'll need an employee pass card to get in, it bypasses the magical locks.

Exa accepts the bag and tries to peer into it. She event attempts to pull something from it, just to test Verity's claim.

Verity to Mavilius
I'm afraid that I don't know who's been invited. Quentin would have taken the cream of players from this years circuit, barring himself of course.
However a friend of mine there during all the building work gave me a map, it is very crude as he wasn't allowed to see in the security office.
Exa
After a frown at losing her copper coin to Verity's unique bag of holding, Exa turns her attention to the map. She studies it closely, her sharp eyes wandering the parchment. She takes note of something curious.

"Clever..." Exa whispers, obviously impressed by the ingenious use of magic.
"I guess if we smash one and the other stops working, they'll notice, but it might buy us some time in an emergency," she suggests.
"This also says something about pass cards. I think we've seen that sort of thing before."

"Hm, do you know if the mirrors can see through illusions or detect magic?"
