Capa checks with her companions on her plan. "Let's keep going east. We can make sure the dead-end is empty. Then go north to see what is behind the door to the small room that will be on our left. Then continue going north then west so we enter the big room in the middle."

Heading east you get to an intersection going north 30ft long then it looks like it heads east again. The hallway continues east 10ft then south 10ft to the secret door Zertell spotted one down the shaft from the taproom above.
Heading north and find a secret door.

“So that passage was empty. Let’s make sure that this room is empty. Who is good with locks and traps?”
As you move down the hallway going north Zertell spots the secret door. Levi looks the door over and its not locked. As hes starts to slowly push the door in he hears just the slighting clink and pulls closed. "It's rigged from the other side. I heard a little clink. Let's move on."
OOC - no DC provided on the secret door. I let Levi roll and decided with a 21 he figured it out.

“Yes, Mage Hand would be good. Leaving an unsecured door behind us would be bad. Also, there may be loot in there.” Capa hopes the slow and thorough approach will keep them all alive.
“Do we want a mage hand to open the door and trigger the trap while we stand back?”
Levi comments, "The door opens away from us and doing so will cause a lot of noise my friends. No way to stop it I believe. It's not worth messing with. Let's move on. I'll pull it to and we just move on."
Ooc - Arden will stand in front of the group with his shield raised while the mage hand triggers the trap. Just trying to act like cover from a blast if it happens.
“Okay. If it’s a trap, then it is not a hiding place. Let’s leave it.” Capa then continues north then west in the corridor to the door that opens into the big room. She listens to hear if there is anything obvious on the other side of the door. Perception 16
ooc - Arden will use his channel divinity as he approaches the door and stands next to Capa.
Divine Sense. As a Bonus Action, you can open your awareness to detect Celestials, Fiends, and Undead. For the next 10 minutes or until you have the Incapacitated condition, you know the location of any creature of those types within 60 feet of yourself, and you know its creature type. Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the Hallow spell.
Arden's smile never faded, even as he heard the voices from beyond the door claiming they were expected. Still, he wasn’t about to stroll in without caution. A quiet pulse of divine energy rippled from him as he called upon his Divine Sense, reaching out to discern the true nature of those on the other side—friend or foe.
“Aye, now that’s mighty suspicious of you, just standin’ there waitin’ for us. And who might you be, strangers? More importantly… who do you think we are?”
He lingered by the door, expression easy but eyes sharp, buying time as his divine instincts sought answers.

As Arden channels his senses for the presence of Celestials, Fiends, and Undead, he does not detect any such creatures with in it range or influence.
A quick glance reveals the following to the group.
Hall of Three Lords
Statues. Standing atop stone plinths in the middle of the room, facing east, are three 6-foot-tall statues depicting male Waterdavian nobles clad in decorative plate armor.
Bones and Broken Staff. Lying at the base of the central statue are the bones of a long-dead hobgoblin and a white wooden staff broken in half.
In goblin
Carved into the stone base of each statue is a name: Elyndraun (south statue), Ruathyndar (central statue), and Onthalass (north statue). These names have been crossed out with chalk; beneath them, new names have been added in Goblin: Smelly Bottom, Stupid Skull, and Born Toothless, respectively.
At a quick glance you see 10 humanoids of which 2 look very different and one looks better dressed and outfitted that the others.
The better equipped individual laughs a bit and says,"We're the greeting council here and if you want to get through here you'll need to pay a fee. It's our cut for giving you access to the rest of the Mad Mages dungeon. You can see you are out numbered, mmmmmmm 2+ to 1. I'd say 1000gp per person should cover our expenses. Do we have a deal. You might as well come on in. Or run back the way you came."

Capa will turn to talk to her companions. “I think it is strange to have people live here. Also I think 1,000 is too much. I can negotiate the price. Can someone ask what they are really doing here?” She then turns to talk to the leader. “Hah, you have no idea who you are talking to. We will pay no more than 500 gp each, if we pay at all”. (Intimidation 8)
(ooc well that probably wont work. lol)
