Jerigg casts dispel magic on the door and it suddenly opens with a quiet sound of sliding stones. Behind it is a dark hallway with small cobwebs and little stones. It turns right after 30/40 feet and ahead of you is a door. You check for traps and after not finding anything you open it. In front of you is a messy room: all of the walls are lined with shelves, and upon these are old jars filled with dust and impotent ingredients of all sorts. There is a large desk and stool, two workbenches, and two mummy preparation tables. Clay pots and urns on these tables and the floor obviously once contained unguents, ointments, oils, perfumes, and the like. Linen wrappings are in rolls or strewn about. Dried herbs of unidentifiable nature, bones, skulls and the like litter the workbenches. In the southern part of the room there's a corridor that returns west.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the door opens to Jerigg's magic, Ubogri says to the dragonborn, "I found a door earlier I couldn't open. Perhaps you have the means. We should check it out later." The half-orc walks into the room and begins poking around the room.

Jerigg and Ubogri search for something useful on the shelfs and on the tables but with no avail. The absolute state of this room makes it hard to find anything but rotten linen and small pots and containers with all sorts of rubbish inside. The workbenches are full of rusted metallic pieces and parts. Then Jerigg casts a spell. A pulse coming from his hand lightens the room generating an aura of transmutation from the southern wall. There are three vats of about 7 feet in diameter and 4 feet in depth that contain murky liquids. The aura is coming from there.
The western one holds what looks to be dirty water. The middle vat contains a greenish substance and the eastern vat contains a grayish one. They look very heavy.
(A little correction, only the middle and the western ones have an aura coming from them)

Sorry for the absence, had some IRL stuff to take care of
You probe each of the vats and nothing happens until the last one. As soon as you put your javelin inside the grayish substance starts to move and to climb out. A part of it rises and solidifies creating a sort of spike ready to attack you.
Initiative for players:

The substance crawls at Jerigg and tries to pierce him: Attack: 6 If hits then it does it for 11 damage + 2 poison damage.

Just going to post ahead of time to keep things going.
Lumiere will blast a flurry of sun bolts at the blob that attacked her companions, a flurry of these blasts flying across the room at it. (Spend 1 ki, 2 additional attacks as a Bonus Action)
Radiant Sun Bolt vs. Blob:21 vs. AC. Hit:11 radiant damage. Radiant Sun Bolt vs. Blob:23 vs. AC. Hit:6 radiant damage. Radiant Sun Bolt vs. Blob:25 vs. AC. Hit:6 radiant damage. Radiant Sun Bolt vs. Blob:16 vs. AC. Hit:11 radiant damage.
The ooze gets disintegrated by your hits and you leave it no time to even react to your attacks. All sorts of grayish substance now cover the walls and the floor around you. Even your weapons are partially covered by it as it dips on the floor. You look in the vase it was inside and you see that at the end of it there's something that looks like the half of one golden key.
"More creations of a unhinged mage, by no doubt." Lumiere says. "I wonder if there is anything left behind within the container after this ooze creature left its home." She raises her lantern again to allow the group to investigate the room again.

"Looks like it's impervious to basic force." Lumiere comments after her radiant sun bolts dissipate. "Probably a warding of some sort."

Use my last lvl 1 spell slot for detect magic on the room.
I believe I need another long rest. I'm not going anywhere if I can't use detect magic and unseen servant.

Falmo doesn't find anything.
What are the liquids? Are they all the same? Are the vats the same?

"Bah, Having the Purifying of the Food and Drink would be fine spell to have now. Bah!" grumbles...grumbles...
I use a javelin to probe in each vat and observe what happens. "Is probably being tricky trap again..."

(Sorry for not posting. Been very unwell this past week and trying to get back into posting.)
Lumiere holds her hands up, ready to blast at the formless substance (once it gets to her turn...)
On his turn, Falmo will attempt to melt back into the shadows (Cunning Action): 32 or 25
Not trusting the viscous nature of his foe, Falmo will hang back and fire an arrow: Attack: 24 Damage: 11
Advantage roll (for stealth): 24
Sneak Attack (should activate, Jerigg is right next to it): 21
If by some miracle it’s surprised by Falmo, here’s the crit damage: 32

Rogues . . .
That's only if the blob is surprised by me, which I doubt.
Also, real life does happen. No worries!
