Approaching Kazdahr-Dum you see guards standing near three piles of ash two dead bodies and one unmoving undead with a long tongue and long dangerous finger nails, claws.
Thrain Blackbeard Is inspecting the undead, as you are hailed by the guardsā¦
Dainās need to protect those around him, seeing the dwarven guard die and become these abominations⦠fueled a frenzied adrenaline in his heart that would become apparent whenever he starts to feel particularly reckless.
For now though, he was calm and collected as they approached Kazdahr-Dum. Seeing Thrain bending over the undead, he could intuit that theyāve had similar problems on this front as well.
āHail Thrain! Weāve returned and not under the best of tidings.ā
"Hail Thrain. I see Kazduhr-Dum has had similar problems as we encountered in the brewery and on our way back on the road. For now the brewery is cleansed of the evil and I would bid you a bed before we report everything. Fighting tires me I have noticed, while it seems to give my companion Dain strength and energy."
Aldun gives Thrain a formal bow, staying away as much as possible from the corpses afraid they wake up again.

Careful about getting to close to the undead Aldun takes his notes, finds a good spot and investigated the undead meticulously (investigation roll 21) writing down everything he thinks might be of importance. Even so that Dain is pacing around in circles waiting for Aldun to finish. "Just go and get a beer or some, Drain. I have some more writing to do. I'll find you and then we'll check out the stone and the belt you have. This is where I get plenty of energy from."
Long after Dain has left Aldun decides all details have been written down. He spits on the ghast cursing it and walks away, off to Dain.
At the bar I tell Dain the one undead used to be a drow and bore him with all my notes. Then I ask him for the stone and the belt and I decide to also have a better look at the tankard, investigating all from top to bottom. By now I have completely forgotten all missery from earlier. In stead I'm rubbing, pulling, pushing, following lines on the items to see if there is a deeper truth to them. Now and then I stealthily cast an illusion of a beer for Dain to cry out in laughter about his disappointment of the fake beer. Only when the bar closes I realize it's time to stop.
Sure I drink from it. Once it's clear to me it keeps me sober I decide to try it out. Investigating while drunk is a no go so i'm real pleased with the tankard.
Am I able to tell more about the stone by the fact it reappears near Dain?
( In the description of the tankard it says that the tankard might contain writings in a forgotten language of symbols whose significance is lost to the ages. I'll have used my comprehend language ritual on it to be able to read it)
As Dain clasps the belt on he feels āfortifiedā something inside just feels boosted. Dain you are a dwarf but with this belt on you feel like Moradin forged you personally. The very next time you hold the āluckstoneā in your hand your stone cunning kicks in this stone is hiding a secretā¦
(Stone cunning used to be used for knowledge, in this instance Iām using it that way.)
make a survival check (using primal knowledge as if raging) DC 14 to know the true nature of the stone of ill luck.

picking up the fallen gear, Dain slowly calms down from his rage. Waiting for Aldun to rejoin him to figure out what the heck that rider was.
Dain will show Aldun the blackened holy symbol while he inspects the belt.
