"What in the hells is keeping everyone," Folzi mumbles to himself from his hiding spot near the gate opening. "I'm not going to wait forever here!"He then peaks around the corner and notices their thought-to-be-lost elf companion making a mad dash for the gate. "Did you stop for a glass of wine?! Get your pointy-eared ass moving, woman!" The rogue attempts some manner of cover for her by coming back into the gate to take a crossbow shot at the blue caster. After releasing the shot he scampers back to his hiding spot.
Just outside the gate, Hrain's eye widen as Leb can be seem running towards the gate just as the my are preparing to drop the portcullis. Sliding down from the saddle he tells Vihar, although the horse seems to need little encouragement "Help her escape or shield her from their attacks if necessary, and come back safe"..
Vihar charges towards the elf, hooves churning the snow as he closes the distance between them.
OOC the idea is to speed up Leb's escape not slow her down mounting and sitting waiting for Hrain's initiative to come around again so ideally Vihar will wait 45' away from Leb and use any remaining movement to get her away, if this isn't OK or possible he will try and shield her from the casters with his body.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Father Pat goes up to Haldur and says "well done soldier!" As he does so he lays on his hands (spending 5 points from his healing pool) to reduce the impact of the poison coursing through Haldur's veins. He then steps outside the gatehouse and starts motioning people through the now open gate.
Healing only Saute! Also Pat has NO idea Haldur was poisoned in the first place. He did not see the stinking cloud. I didn't say anything before but I will now.
(OOC: Sorry about - didn't mean to meta-game. I was responding to Haldur's post (#1389) where he said he was poisoned and assumed that as a medic Father Pat would recognise it and be able to to respond.)
(OOC Its ok Grant, I appreciate the gesture and the intention. For what its worth, I imagined that narratively Father Pat saw Haldur struggle for a moment and attempted to heal him, but the infirmity was not a wound and thus the spell did not cure the Poison condition. No worries.)

OOC: do you want Father Pat to make a medicine check?
OOC: No, not now. In future to realize someone's poisoned or afflicted you'll have to a) not metagame and b) roll a check to notice said illness/affliction. Your backstory as a field medic is awesome but it's not going to bypass rolls. A rogue still has to roll to notice traps right? A ranger tracks? Etc... It's only fair.
Haldur up!

Lebenha looks at the person is yelling at her almost stopping her run, for she first thought it could be another attacker. At it cost her some more seconds to understand what was saying to her, between the poison, the spells, the urge for escaping and dodging the magic bolt the wizard caster upon her, she hasn’t barely noticed the huge horse that was now trotting gently at her side. However she recognizes the captain mount and puts a hand on him to help her she doesn’t stop and continues running towards the gate...
(I think that at the end of her turn she reaches the gate, doesn’t she.?)

Haldur growls in frustration and sympathetic pain as the distant figure of Artemis endures unspeakable punishment at the hands of the chromatic Casters. Having lost track of several members of his party, the Warforged's slow and methodical destruction at the hands of their enemies strikes the young mercenary deeply, and he can feel the outrage boiling inside of him and causing the bile to rise in his throat. An almost overpowering desire to foolishly rush headlong back into the camp sweeps through the warrior's mind, and for a brief moment he is consumed with the imagery of his halberd blade cleaving through red, green or blue flesh. Haldur even takes a single tentative step forward... but he stops himself, quickly mastering his anger and battle lust.
Taking a steady deep breath, the mercenary brings his crossbow up to his shoulder again and searches for the same flashing red flesh that he has glimpsed through the near white out of ice and snow. He inhales, exhales slowly and holds his breath, then squeezes the trigger mechanism of his weapon.
