I'm just your everyday dungeon master. Ignore that jar full of souls. And those bones in the corner are just props, don't worry. I'm definitely NOT a lich. Definitely.
Yes, I like beholders. Yes, I curated an exquisite personality for commoner #2864. Yes, my catchphrase is "are you sure?"

@Tybard I'm okay with Silvery Barbs for now. I do know that particular spell has a slight reputation so if it turns out to merit it, we might rediscuss it at some point. But as I've used it as a player in a couple campaigns on DDB I admit some curiosity as to how it is when I'm on the other side of the DM screen.
Makes sense - I'll keep the spell on her list for now, but happy to replace it if it later if you think it proves disruptive or unbalancing.
Question, is there a campaign link we should join?

No. The recruiting threads here usually do not include a campaign link. Once the DM selects the players for the game, they usually create a private message thread with the players and post the campaign link there. (Or they direct message each selected player with the link.)

Looks like the link was to the pdf instead of sheet directly. Also noticed the 2024 classes there. As a reminder this is 2014 ruleset. As mentioned in the OG post I am fine with some 2024 stuff that doesn't have a 2014 counterpart on a case-to-case basis. So [spells]sorcerous burst[/spell] is fine.
Sorry, I thought I had used 2014 rules but when I checked after your note my sheet said "doesn't meet the prerequisites for 2014 rules"
2-5 Sentence Backstory (simple is ok): Eve had relatives with somewhat shady connections. And she had relatives with celestial connections; Which made her childhood interesting, but strange. Now, she has celestial sorcery and a bit of Rogueishness. And a cloak of Elvenkind. And a Frag Grenade ("Found it!")
I still need to cross the Ts & dot the Is but hopefully this addresses the issues
Can confirm Ben_Evolent was accurate on how recruiting threads work.
Will need an application from you if you want to be considered.

Yep, looks like the '14/'24 issue is fixed.
As a minor thing, I notice your uncommon item is currently listed as a fragmentation grenade. With that being a mundane modern-era item as opposed to a common magic item, would ask to swap that to something else. Though if you wanted to use some of the starting gold to have a couple bombs that's fine.
Gonna be changing from open to closed later this Wednesday. And then it'll be a couple days before PMs sent most likely. So for anyone with an unfinished application or that's been thinking about it, here's some motivation! ;)

Heh. If explosives are allowed, I may have to go back and see whether I can fit a bomb or at least a couple of powder horns in my artillerist's inventory. It's just so "on brand" for that character.

Will say that gunpowder overall would be rare in the setting (so even in a city there's a chance there might not be any known vendors). But I agree it is quite on-brand for the artillerist class.

Fair. I guess he could maybe craft the gunpowder with Alchemist's Supplies, given enough time and the right resources. Maybe he had enough to make a couple of powder horns, but that's it for now?
Personally, I'm not very interested in D&D that includes guns and (non-magical) explosions, so I definitely wouldn't want to make it a big part of his character. It's just hard to resist the image of Zephyr flying just out of reach over the heads of a mob of opponents, dropping a powder horn (action) and attacking with his Flamethrower Eldritch Cannon (bonus action). The flames should ignite the powder horn, doing 2d8 from flamethrower (DEX DC 15) and 3d6 from the powder horn (DEX DC 12). It's a small AoE, but it might be enough to kill a few ghouls with one attack.

Yup, blowing up enemies by dropping gunpowder from above before igniting it with a flamethrower definitely isn't "D&D that includes guns and (non-magical) explosions"
also dropping an item Isn't an action so you could still attack on your turn.

Heh. Agreed. It definitely is! Like I said, I wouldn't want it to be a go-to tactic. I just like the visual for "this crazy thing that Zephyr did that one time to get us out of a jam."
I prefer the default (ahistorical) swords & sorcery / heroic fantasy / epic fantasy type of world for my D&D campaigns. Just generally less interested in campaign worlds where guns are common (e.g., multiple PCs wield guns and even that band of goblins wields guns), catapults and battering rams have been replaced by cannons, and anyone can buy gunpowder if they have the gold to spend. I guess I come to D&D for the magic! I wasn't even interested in artificers until I ended up building one that was similar to Zephyr for a previous game with a very specific concept.
