Vondal throws open the door and it swings hard into the room, but the (black) Redbrand guard north of the door (despite being caught off guard) is able to dodge the door, and it bangs against the wall.
Vondal springs forward as swift as the wind; ands as sharp and precise as dwarven made knife, he pivots around to lay into redbrand(black). Though the cut across the leg with Chaff Cutter(if it hits) is a shallow one intentionally, a meaty, dwarven fist is ready to meet gut and face from any buckling over in pain. At any point he manages to incapacitate the first, the rest are aimed at Orange next.
Movement: (U) just past the door and between the two redbrands.

In an awe-inspiring meaneuver, Vondal flies into the room, assesses the situation, and immediately lands three non-lethal blows on the north (black) Redbrand, knocking him to the ground in an unconscious heap.
Karl goes to U6 and seeing Vondal playing with the Black Red Belly says "I thought I taught you better than that. If you're going to hit somebody do a proper job" as he swings Pacifier II is a distinctly lethal manner at the Orange Red Belly (Attack: 11 Damage: 11)
Karl rushes in after Vondal, angling a little to his right to engage the south guard. Unfortunately, he's too busy criticizing Vondal's attack, and the focus of his attack is able to dodge out of the way of Pacifier II.
OOC: Zander, with the Redbrand up against the wall, I'm going to rule you'd have to be at S5 or T5 in order to attack them. If that's the case, backing back up will give them an AoO. Is that OK? Also, I have found when getting that dice rolls error that if I edit the post, add a return or a return and some text, it is usually enough to make the rolls appear. For future reference.

Zander follows behind Vondal and Karl, stepping into the room. He watches Karl begin to make a wild swing at the south (orange) Redbrand, and decides to also attack that Redbrand, releasing the flame he had been holding. The flame is aimed for just about the same spot as Karl's swing. As the Redbrand dodges Karl's attack, Zander's flame flies by the man, singeing him slightly. Zander then ducks back through the doorway, but only just.
Nif, you're up! You can just get to T5, using all of your movement. However, if you attack with your crossbow from there, you'll attack at disadvantage.

Hazarding a guess where the Redbrands are positioned from his Uncle and Brothers attacks, he puts his crossbow down and pulls out his shortsword and dagger. He then moves to T5 and attacks the standing redbrand.

After making his attacks he looks at Karl with a sly look. "See Uncle? Hit then criticize not the other way around."

Nif, hearing and seeing the close combat of his comrades through the door, drops his crossbow as he moves though the crypt, and draws his shortsword and dagger. Slipping by Zander and stepping into the next room, he swings once with each weapon, making contact with the (orange) Redbrand. The man is looking worse for wear.
Round 2: Karl, Vondal, Zander, Black (unconscious for 1 hours), Orange (very hurt), Nif, Droop
The second Redbrand goes down in a heap. It's at this point that Vondal, Karl and Nif realize there are five individuals in two cells, and one of them is familiar! Though he is soiled and a little bruised, Westin Harbin, Phandalin's townmaster, is huddled in the south cell holding a woman. In the north cell are two human women and a human boy huddled together. All are dressed in plain gray tunics and have iron collars fitted around their necks. All of them are looking at you scared and a bit confused.
This long room is partitioned into three areas, with iron bars walling off the north and south. Filthy straw lines the floors of those cells, the hinged doors of which are secured by chains and padlocks. A heap of discarded clothing is piled carelessly against the far wall.
OOC: You each earn 50 XP for defeating the guards.
Vondal, more intent in the heat of the moment of readying himself over banter, had to close his eyes and take a long exhale. Unbeknown to him the breathe is accompanied by sparks of lightning. "Okay.. okay."He opens his eyes, and its back to the soft, happy-go-lucky expression again. "Droop. Zander. If you two do not mind. See about getting more red cloaks from other room. We may need them, if we are to escort friends out. 'less folk wish to engage them."He spoke as he moved to check the guards for keys. "Grab rope too, if any."
Once he had them in hand he moves not to the burgeonmaster, but to the north cell with the woman and human boy to start unlocking it. And if not, he looks to Nif somewhat expectantly to break out the tools. No matter how things turn out he talks to people in the north. "You would have to forgive the late arrival, people of Phandelin. We would 'ave been 'ere sooner, but.. eheh.. We... I got a sidetracked chasing after ghosts of all things." He shoots the group a bright smile.

Nif will search the guards for any keys for the cells and anything else of interest. If he cant find a key, he gets to picking each lock.
