(OOC - out of curiosity does Karl get a chance to reduce the damage even further through applying Danger Sense or was that was rolled for in attempt to shut the door)
(@Grant: Well you passed the save, and all of us dwarves have natural poison resistance(meaning both adv. on save and damage itself). So, any of us that passed took 10, and Vondal only took 21 regardless and is still up.)

That would make sense. Roll again for your dexterity advantage to shut the door.
I wish but unfortunately I failed the Dex sav (with advantage) having rolled '8' (5+3) and 11 (8+3) which is why there was two rolls in the post I stuffed up.
One, I gotcha, Karl. Misunderstood your rolls. No, I would say you only get one advantage per event, so the advantage went toward closing the door, not dodging the poison cloud.
Two, forgot to automatically half the damage (again) as well as take the DEX save half damage into effect. The dwarves that saved would have only taken 10 damage (42/2=21/2=10) because they are already resistant. So, the HP totals are actually Adrom (24/34), Nif (21/31), Vondal (12/33), dragon, Karl (43/53). Right? As Daran is not a dwarf (and isn't resistant to poison) and failed his DEX save, he's still down.
Three, the area of attack is a 30-foot cone, so, yes, everyone was in the line of fire.
Nif walks up to Karl, "Uncle what do we do? It clearly knows we are here now, should I scout around for another entrance?" he asks whilst helping keep the door closed.
Vondal finishes vacating the poisonous gas from his lungs, though he still struggled to catch his breath. "Duin have mercy that shite stinks." He complained in between gasps as he steady himself once more. "You know you'd be better giving up the ghost now, because none of us wants this to Drag-On!"He jokes, lacing the words using the subtlest of magics. But knowing it to be possibly not enough, Vondal sweeps himself into a defensive posture some several feet behind Karl.
Action: Cast (1st level)Jokes on You on the dragon. Wisdom Saving Throw(DC 12) or fall prone, becoming incapacitated with laughter(until it makes same save at the end of its turn).
(My turn? What to do except to get gassed? now I realized that you meant after beign gassed
CON save to keep concentration: 8)
Adrom coughs and almost throw up due the strong chlore smell.
"We certanly could use other entrance but someone has to stay here and distract him " he says when he finally can speak again. "But before you go..."
He raises his hammer and prays to moradin in the secret language of the dwarves. The head of the hammer heats up and small sparks start to float from it down the members of the party, incluiding the fallen Daran. Instead of burning them, when the saprks touches them, they feel their pain and their burns to be healed.
No big deal, Adrom. I wasn't complaining; I just didn't want to assume what you would do in this situation.
Something to note, though: Prayer of Healing takes 10 minutes to cast. Is everyone willing to stand around for 10 minutes while the spell is being cast?
(@DDP: I mean, if the dragon is fine with it, then sure. But, I am not entirely convinced it won't be breaking open the door if need be to breathe on us again.)
(@Fandal: If you got a cure wounds available, feel free to toss it Daran's way. We should be okay for a turn at least.)

1. It looks like you're ready to fight the dragon. Is that right?
Vondal is! Bad idea or not, better to fight it in the tower than run and have it possibly fly after us doing the maybe smart dragon thing of strafing until we're dead.
2. Are you willing to wait 10 minutes for Adrom to cast prayer of healing, or do you want to keep going right away?
Same as Karl. The only thing that'd resolve would be guaranteeing we run into the breathe again, or again possibly having a pissed off dragon giving us the strafing run anyhow from trying to run to cover.
3. Are some of you wanting to try to find another way in? If so, who? And what are the others doing in the meantime?
Vondal already tried that with the hole, and I feel we're beyond that point now. At this point, trying to find another way around as more than one will either run into the above mentioned issues, or be down a guy while they potentially (and I do mean only potentially) waste several turns while the rest try to hold off/hide said angry/annoyed dragon.

If Nif thinks there is a chance of another entrance he will scout around, otherwise, knowing that he will never convince his uncle otherwise, he will fight with his brethren as he will not leave them behind.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Aggh sorry guys alwasys forgot that casting time on that spell.. Let's heal our friend Daran instead! Cure wounds lvl2: 8 And let's wait to see if there is another way in... )

If Karl makes the dex save to close the door, no one gets gassed ... this round.

Adrom, you're up!
I hate to bot Adrom in this circumstance.
Nif walks up to Karl, "Uncle what do we do? It clearly knows we are here now, should I scout around for another entrance?" he asks whilst helping keep the door closed.
"Well I'm gunna hit it young'un but if you can find a back entrance that'd be good" Karl responds

So, I need some answers from you all.
1. It looks like you're ready to fight the dragon. Is that right?
2. Are you willing to wait 10 minutes for Adrom to cast prayer of healing, or do you want to keep going right away?
3. Are some of you wanting to try to find another way in? If so, who? And what are the others doing in the meantime?
Karl is - may not be the smartest move he's ever made but you know the history of that!
We've got the dragon on the hop so let's strike while the iron is hot so to speak - that's a no from Karl to waiting 10 minutes.
Karl was going to guard the door while I understand Nif was going to scout for a back entrance. The others dunno?
