Whatwall, that is a brazier, not a table. It seems there was at least one table and chairs in this room, but it was/they were broken apart to barricade the doors.

OK, in that case, Ebonitus will make himself comfortable by the brazier ;)

The adventurers decide to take a break. Vondal, Nif and Adrom gather around the brazier, the small fire a bit of comfort in this strange, dangerous place. Karl props himself up on one of the cots so his back is to the barricaded door, and his eyes are toward the broken door. After about 15 minutes, there's a slapping on the broken door. All eight eyes turn in that direction, wondering what it in the world it could have been. But before anyone can do anything more than get to their feet, the slapping intensifies, and the door is pushed open far enough for six winged creatures to flutter silently into the room. They look like a cross between a large bat and an oversized mosquito. Their legs end in sharp pincers, and each has a long, needle-like proboscis.
Who goes first? Good guys=1, bad guys=2: 2
All of you are standing and in movement range of the flying creatures.
Vondal grumbles and pulls out Vonsorm. "Oh great. Bugger Boos. Must've been attracted to scent of blood, perhaps. We need to deal with them quick, and get that door closed 'fore more come, or worse!" He exclaim, before then bracing himself for some pain as he rushed forth to start hacking and kicking the flying menaces in a strained dance of destruction.
"Can't a fella get a bit of rest around here?" Kark complains as he gets up and smacks one of the critters with his axe (Attack: 9 Damage: 13) he curses as he misses the creature and actually takes a chunk out of the door-frame wiht his axe.

Adrom Attack: 12 Damage: 9
All four adventures move into action immediately, Vondal being the first to reach the small flock. He swings his axe with such ferocity that it slices not one but two of the creatures in two, sending a spray of blood against the wall. The monk follows up with a ferocious jump kick that sends another of the flying creatures ricocheting to its death. Unfortunately, that's the creature that Karl was swinging at (a little late), and his axe cuts nothing but the wind. Nif lines up a shot and takes out a fourth of the fliers before backing away. Adrom swings his hammer at one of the creatures, but it flutters out of the way at the last minute.
One of the remaining two creatures attempts to stick its proboscis into Karl, but the barbarian bats the creature away. The other attempts to latch onto Adrom, but it can't penetrate his armor.
(Fight bugbears? Can't hit the broadside of a barn. Fight bugs? Suddenly a near dead Vondal is a freaking bug mashing master... Ridiculous. XD)
Almost within the same breath, Vondal practically threw himself using the axe's weight to add more to the momentum, aiming to land aside Adrom. The moment he does so, the bleed off movement is spent slamming palm to bugger, smashing it well and good between callused hands and iron armor. Even if the bug proves quick enough to evade, the hill dwarf pursues in another jump kick to its side.
Action:Crash Lightning at Bugger(attack Adrom). Attack: 15 Damage: 5 of bludgeoning.
Bonus Action: Rolling Thunderat Bugger(Attacking Adrom, unless dead. In which case, targeting the other one). Attack: 8 Damage: 3 of bludgeoning.

Ebonitus de Viribus - Level 4 Cleric - The Storm King's Thunder - The Gods Respond.
Adrom flaps his arms a little, quite unable to keep from reacting hysterically to the giant insect and its very ominous blood-sucking appendage. His effort is useless, but Vondal is able to smash the creature for the cleric. Karl decapitates the one closest to him, and Nif stops himself just as he was about to release another bolt. All of the creatures are dead.
Vondal scrunches up his face at whatever gunk remains of the bug-bat on his hand. But as he's trying to shake it off, memories of the door has him looking sharply to it. "Crap baskets! The door!"Without waiting for a response from the others, he hurriedly races over to the buggers entryway, and begins trying at least to shove it closed again. If as much can be managed without incident, little time is wasted before the hill dwarf starts trying to reconstruct the barricade, and even add anything else that might be possible. "C'mon! Sooner zhis is done, the sooner we can-oof-... Sooner we can rest.. again." He'd finally call to the others at that point, if they'd been slow to act.

Adrom thanks Vondal "Those are disgsting!!" he says and before he could even regain his breath Vondal drags him along to restore the barricade.
The cleric doesn't speak more, focusing on put up the barricade again but he keeps looking over his shoulder, anxious of more of those creatures appearing.
Vondal, roll a check of your choice, explaining why you rolled that check to "reconstruct" the barricade. And you can do it with advantage since Adrom is helping.

For all of Vondal's hurry to get the door shut, once it was at least closed again, he would try to recall the stories passed down from his sister from her military services to better "reconstruct" the barrier from makeshift material, and put it use. Though it would be difficult, as following the sometimes half-remembered advice sent twinges of pain from his wounds, Adrom's ongoing assistance and correction on the physical aspects certainly made things a touch easier in the long run.
Calling upon their innate dwarven ingenuity where shoring up walls and ceilings is concerned, the monk and the cleric are able to rather skillfully barricade the door using the pieces of the broken barricade strewn across the floor and one of the cots. Pleased, but not overconfident, the dwarves continue their rest. At one point, there is a banging on the eastern door less like knocking and more like something medium sized trying to get in a little feebly, but it only lasts a minute or so before everything goes quiet again.

Moradin sent me to look after you and I cannot do it if you insist into throwing yourselves against every danger we face!" he laughs of his own joke.
Vondal sits by the braiser at J4. After getting relatively patched up at the start, he is meditating on the ground with his book in spellbook in hand.
