It takes a moment for the question to register, but eventually Vondal looks up from his book to regard Nif. "Hm?.... Mn! Yes. Need to get back to mission. Any longer and Gundren might start to get worried, and come in after us!" The gold dwarf then promptly closes the book, and carefully slides it back into his pack. As he got to his feet after, Vonsorm, which had been resting at his side ever since the dwarf heard something beating against the door last, is swept up into hand and rested on a shoulder at the half.
"That barricade should hold, but... not necessarily best place for better forward camp, unfortunately."Vondal comments on while looking to the door, then sighed and shake his head. "Anyways! Let us go further northward. Down tunnel not taken, yes?" He asked suggestively, but otherwise readied to follow at the back of the bus. Once the group are at least partway down the hall, he would remember to set axe back in belt loop, and have Zindral ready for the remaining trip.

As the party travels north, Nif and Adrom point out a few noises. First, there is a splashing sound like a stream falling into shallow water. But then there are occasional words in the goblin tongue. Whoever is in the lead pauses at the T intersection at the top of a short flight of stairs. The sounds are coming from the right, where there appears to be a larger opening, but there is also a corridor to the left.
Karl leads the party as is his want, he pauses and looks at the two passageways before commenting "its a no brainer lads , goblins down one passage and we dunno what's down tother? Goblins it is!"as he hefts hew in one hand, his shield in the other and moves off quietly towards the goblins (Stealth = 11)
Vondal grimaced, and yet seeing no way to convince Uncle Karl from checking the other course instead, simply followed after the elder dwarf with bow and arrow at the ready. Hopefully this time they'd be able to get the drop on the goblins properly, and take one down before things got too hairy... Again. In either event, he would be at the very back and at least an added 5ft behind the 2nd to last in the group.
Is the order Karl, Nif, Adrom, Vondal or Karl, Adrom, Nif, Vondal? The corridor is actually 10 feet wide, so you could be in pairs if you want.
Adrom stealth: 10
Karl, as soon as you start to turn the corner to the right, you see the back of a bugbear about 40 feet away. It is standing still and holding its weapon as if it is ready for action.
Knowing that Adrom often struggles to be quiet Karl motions for him to stay back and starts to sneas up to the bugbear (14) when he reaches him he taps him on the bag with his shield. As the bugbear turns around in surprise Karl says "hey fugly cop this!"as he swings Hew up into the creatures crotch (Attack: 21 Damage: 12)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Not so fast there, uncle ... (but we will hold onto those rolls ... as well as Nif's)
Karl motions for the others to hang back, but even so, Adrom peeks around the corner to watch the tall dwarf approach the bugbear. When the barbarian is about 10 feet behind the furry goblin, the creature turns around and scowls, clearly surprised to see a dwarf standing there with his axe ready.

Round 1: bugbear, Nif, Adrom, dark elf, Vondal, Karl
Surprised and yet still clearly on alert, the bugbear (which is a normal-sized specimen) yells loudly as they quickly close the distance and swing their morningstar at Karl. (Attack: 10 Damage: 12) Uncle ducks, and the weapon swings by him without landing.
Nif, you're up! You did not see anything as you are behind Adrom, but you heard the bugbear yell. And, as I said, we'll use the rolls you already made.
Nif slips around Adrom to the far side of the corridor at the top of the stairs and fires at the Bugbear. He then crouches low and reloads ready for the next opportunity.
