Grim gathers everything out of the chest, handing the goggles over to Flip. "Anyone want a new staff?" he asks, indicating the collapsed staff. He throws the cloak around his own shoulders. "How do I look?" he asks as he strikes a pose. "Anyone need the lantern? I can see just fine in the dark without one," he says, setting the lantern on the floor of the wagon. He inspects the gold-encased ruby before putting it in his pack for now, then tries playinig a few notes on the flute. (Performance: 2) It doesn't go well.
"I heard the voice as well. I'm inclined to agree with it..."
32 <----------------------------- everyone with LESS than these hit points are now asleep. BUT because I'm nice and a LOT of posts are after this one I'll just say Grim now has a disadvantage on ALL performance checks for the rest of his life.
(Thats not quite how the sleep works. First person falls asleep, subtracts their health from the total, then moves on to check the next. So probably owuldn't hit more than 3 of us, and the rest could wake em up :P. I'll take the disadvantage on performace checks though :D)
If no one asks flip or healing he will put the toss a healing potion to each of his companions and keep the rest in his backpack before mounting up on herbert and hitting the old dusty trail!
OOC: WHEN HAVE YOU EVER BEEN FUNNY (dont kill me... / sarcasm... j/k.... <3..... aaannnnddd the acid soaked wheels give out on one side of the wagon and it tips over on to flip... GG everyone :D)
So are y'all dividing the loot and getting back on the road? It's late afternoon early evening with three hours of daylight left and the O'Vana farm is still a good four hours ahead. Are you approaching in the dark or camping somewhere and going there at daybreak?

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
After distributing the loot the party remounts their horses and set off back on the road. It's not odd for a brisk autumn day like this one for them to be vacant of travelers but what is odd however that the closer you seem to get to the O'Vana farm the more crows you see. The black-winged pests fly overhead or perched in trees cawing noisily at the group. Whether is a warning or a curse they will never know. As night begins to fall each party member in their turn voices concerns about continuing your journey in the dark. You now debate where to make camp. Along the road or further into the treeline. The forest spans the road along one side while the other remains gentle rolling hills with brown grasses as far as the eye can see towards the mountains in the distance.
OOC: I really hoped one of you would have rolled up a druid!

Flip will agree with Daar. "Here along the road sounds good.... don't need anymore scary stuff coming at us from in the woods!" he will say, looking through his goggles while amazed at how they helped him see in the dark.

OOC: Alas I was joking. Humor you know, that thing I've been using ALL game. But if you wanna RP it that'd be really funny!

"I vote to just make camp by the roadside. That way we'll have a good view up and down the road. Thoughts?"
Flip will agree with Daar. "Here along the road sounds good.... don't need anymore scary stuff coming at us from in the woods!" he will say, looking through his goggles while amazed at how they helped him see in the dark.
"Works for me, just make sure we keep a good watch if anything approaches."
"This looks like as good a place as any"
OOC: I need perception checks from the party as well as to know which part of the road you're settling. Forested part or the fields of grass?
Working together to create camp (two people roll survival checks) the party settles down for the night. They discuss watch rotations too.
OOC: I'll agree. Everyone welcome to level 4 after that boss of a witch fight!
