Vark looks away as he snickers at Devin's misfortunate. Meanwhile, D.O.R.K had no hands to wave, so she looked at Beedo expectantly to do it. But as he was no mind reader, the goblin just stares back worriedly at her for a moment before looking to Blik and Flik. "A-al-alright tweedle dee and tweedle dum! Boss Lady wants us to get these lashed together fer the big folk that crossed. So let's get to werk! You too Girlie! Unless ya planning to follow fancy pants across" He commands the duo and goads Gwerk. Whether she decides to help or not, he leads the effort in binding the two ladders together to form a bridge. As well as whatever else he thought might work just as well.
"That's not.... Nevermind. Acolyte Vark. You know what to do by now, I hope." Vark gives a clipped salute, and after pulling over Jaylen's rope from D.O.R.K's side (with her permission), he moves to follow the others with his shield and scimitar at the ready.

Torrun, Vark and Devin all manage to cross the bridge; albeit some more successfully than the others. By the time they have crossed the bridge another 15 minutes have passed. As Torrun, Vark and Devin set off towards the Gatehouse, D.O.R.K. and the others build a bridge out of the two ladders which takes a further 10 minutes. It is easy (DC 5 – add either Athletics or Acrobatics) to cross this bridge once built and by 1.00 pm everybody who wants to (Blik, Flik and Kella will stay) is hopefully on the other side of the bridge. As Torrun, Vark and Devin party make their way through the wooden gates they see Jaylen emerge from a door on the the west (right hand side).
It is now 1.00 pm and everybody (except for Blik, Flik and Kella) are standing in the Gatehouse looking across the Inner Bailey and up at the Keep. They can see that the rock bombardment has left the whole areas in a sorry state, large boulders are scattered all over the Inner Bailey and there is significant damage to the northwestern tower. Directly in front of them are a large set of double doors.
A spectral hand appears in front of Devin, the hand glowing with a faint blue aura. The hand glides through the air to the door and knock, knock, knock it makes contact with the door.
D.O.R.K, having retrieved her Javelin on the way over, sheathes her weapons at Devin's suggestion. But a firm hand remains on her shield as she waits for an answer. "Odd. Query: Why abandon leave a fortification wide open?"She asks more of herself than anyone, and moved on to open the door with Vark and Beedo right behind her to look around.
The hand glides through the air to the door and knock, knock, knock it makes contact with the door.
Devin steps forward 10 feet from the party to within 30 feet of the Keep’s door and casts his spell. As the mage hand knocks, it exerts sufficient force for the door to open slightly but there is no response to the knocking.
Using the hand he pushes the door open the rest of the way.
If nothing else happens he will look back at the others and shrug .
"I guess we should go inside and take a look around. My guess is this is where the Lady of Nightstone, Lady Velrosa Nandar resides. Maybe we will find her inside?"
"I guess we should go inside and take a look around. My guess is this is where the Lady of Nightstone, Lady Velrosa Nandar resides. Maybe we will find her inside?"Devin says to no one in particular.
D.O.R.K. takes matter into her own hands and moves to open the door more fully. With Vark and Beedo right behind she steps into what was obviously once the Great Hall. However over half of it is now buried in rubble. As sher looks around she can see that the roof is at least 20 feet high, there are two doors in the west wall and giant staircase also on the western side. She can also see the shattered remains of a large oak table on which is lying a human body and standing around the table are four humans in chain shirts arguing with each other.
Torunn follows the group in, not really paying attention to the humans. As he walks in he looks around, doing his own calculations and assessments of the keep and it's damage.
Jaylen steps into the room, sees the four arguing individuals, looks at her companions, and then rolls her eyes. She clears her throat, steps forward, raises her empty hand in greeting, and says in a pleasant voice, "Greetings!"
D.O.R.K curtly motions for Beedo and Vark to stand more obscured behind her. But as she wasn't the biggest of the forged around, they were bound to still be spotted before long. With that in mind, she followed with the goblins in tow behind Jaylen, but stays a healthy ten feet away with a Javelin lowered but in hand. Seeing her brother wanderer around lost in thought, D.O.R.K clicks her non-existent tongue, but kept a pointed eye on him for the time being.

Jaylen clears her throat, steps forward, raises her empty hand in greeting, and says in a pleasant voice, "Greetings!"
The four humans spin around at the sound of her voice with various exclamations of surprise such as “wot in Tempus’s name”, “how'd they get in”, etc. One of them turns to the another says “Torem, I thought I told you to make sure that door was locked. Honestly you’re as useless as your brother.”“’ang on a minute”the one she was yelling at says “now don’t you got trashtalking the dead, Sydiri.” At this stage another one pipes up and says “he does have a point!”

Suddenly three of them pull the swords out and pick their shields up as they yell out simultaneously "Gobbos!" The fourth one looks around in alarm and belatedly starts to draw his sword and fix his shield.
Once again, Jaylen's eyes roll. "I knew those things would be trouble," she says more under her breath than to anyone. "Again, I say, 'Greetings!'" She takes another step forward, distancing herself from the others ... especially the goblins. She places her hand on her chest. "My name is Jaylen Graybender. I am a cleric of Tymora." Half turning, she indicates the others. "My associates and I are from Waterdeep. We are on a holy mission, charged by our respective houses of worship, to this city." She gives a sympathetic smile to the men. "Yes, this ... other cleric has made acolytes of a few of the goblins. The other vermin, we've been dispatching, including the two large dog creatures. We're very sorry for your recent scuffle and mourn with you those townsfolk who weren't able to escape. Aside from these new acolytes, we've cleared the rest of the town of 'gobbos'. The keep was our last stop. We do not mean to intrude; we're here to render aid."
D.O.R.K had snapped her javelin up the moment the men drew weapons, and fell into a defensive posture with eyes immediately turning red for combat. Beedo at least stares in shock for a moment; but, he soon enough awkwardly tries to follow Vark's more quick witted example. "Hey! We ain'ts vermin! We--" He stops short suddenly sensing something wrong. Glancing out of the corner of his eyes, and though lights in her eyes hardly actually moved to show it, he -felt- as if the Forged eyes were upon him: giving a warning look. As Beedo clammed up, the feeling faded away.
"I am 'Dedicated Operative of the Red Knight', 'the other' cleric the Servant of Tymora Jaylen was referring too. You may call me Dork. By ranking of celestial order, Tempus stands above the Mother... However, neither /I/ or my acolytes will aid you should you threaten my person, or that of my Acolytes again."She states firmly.
"We come on behalf of a request for aid that the Lady of Nightstone, Lady Velrosa Nandar, sent to Waterdeep. We came as quick as we could." Devin adds. "I am Devin, a Cleric in service to the Lady Mystra."
Devin stands rubbing his head, an embarrassed look on his face.
"Well that could have been worse. Not so elegant on the dismount but I am here. Not really looking forward to going back though. "
Vark looks away as he snickers at Devin's misfortunate. Meanwhile, D.O.R.K had no hands to wave, so she looked at Beedo expectantly to do it. DM - Stopping a god in his tracks
After trying to regain some of his dignity Devin heads up to the keep following the way Jaylen went.
When he sees here emerge from a door he calls to her.
"Anything of interest? Anyone around?"
Pleased with herself after crossing the ledge, Meiva jogs up after Devin, eyeing Jaylen inquisitively.
And that's all I have to say about that.
"Nothing of interest behind these doors," Jaylen says flatly. She looks about for her next steps.

"Or we could just go in"
