"Must your violent tone be followed by violent action?" Meiva asks deliberately. "And to threaten some of the only people who might be able to help you seems...unwise" she finishes with.
The Guard lowers her sword as she says “I could ask you the same. Is it always the case with Priests of your Churches” indicating both Jaylen and Meiva “that you refer to somebody’s home as a hovel and further simply because somebody is dead their wishes are of no value anymore? While Hiral Mystrum, our local priest was generally pretty useless, he did at least try and see where others might be coming from?
Jaylen shrugs. "Do as you please. But don't pretend that forcing your opinion of what your lady would have wanted you to do in this situation on others is any different than us expressing our opinions. All we're saying is that there may be a better future for your remaining citizens in leaving Nightstone."
“All we're saying is that there may be a better future for your remaining citizens in leaving Nightstone,” Jaylen suggests.
Sydiri says “Thank you for your advice, but as you say the village has been deserted. We must therefore wait until somebody from the House Nandar contacts us and advises what they want to do. We have plenty of food and water here in the keep and will send a message – via pigeon – to Waterdeep asking for advice today. You are welcome to stay here as long as you wish."
Jaylen gives a nod of acknowledgement. "We appreciate your hospitality." She takes another step forward, her manner completely businesslike. "As we have said, we have taken the liberty of either removing or converting," she says with a quick raise of the eyebrows and a flash of the eyes, "the goblin menace. We don't ask for payment for these services, but we could use some information concerning the cloud giants ... or any giants, really."
“… we could use some information concerning the cloud giants ... or any giants, really” Jaylen says.
About now Devin comes back into the Keep in time to hear the following
“Given what you already know, about the only other thing I can tell you is that after the bombardment had ceased and the villagers had fled, four pale-skinned giants descended from the castle in sky, uprooted the rock in the village square, and took it back to their castle. The cloud castle left soon thereafter, drifting eastward”Sydiri says.
Torunn just nods along to the guards answer before going for a wander around this mainland ''castle'. Driven by his curiosity, he disappers amongst corridors and rooms of the keep.
Devin returns to the keep and hears the guard speak of the giants taking the Nightstone.
"Golemogotê killed a goblin trying to sneak out of town with some plunder. He wasn't injured at all. D is moving him into the village to keep him safe. What's going on here? Have we learned anything new? Do we know where the Lady Velrosa Nandar is? "
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Boss Lady sayz I gotta stick with ya, 'nd that'z just watt I planna do!"Beedo express, overcoming his fear of the guards. After giving them the stink-eye one last time, he rushed off after Torunn until he marched alongside with his chest all puffed out.

Driven by his curiosity, Toruun disappears amongst corridors and rooms of the keep.
Spotting Toruun and Beedo heading off out of the corner of her eye, Sydiri says “hang on a minute, where are you two off to…” Realising that she does not have the force to stop Toruun and Beedo from wandering off, Sydiri opts for the second best option and says to two of the Guards “Torem and Kaelen follow those two“ pointing to Toruun and Beedo “and make sure they don’t touch anything they shouldn’t.”
OOC: Toruun has a choice of two doors or the staircase – which is he choosing?
"The giants took the rock from your village square?" Jaylen asks. "Why?"
Sydiri shrugs her shoulders and simply says “I don’t know” in reply to Jaylen’s question.
Jaylen turns to Meiva and Devin. "These people are of little help." Not waiting for a response, she turns back toward the guards. "Are you the only ones left in town?"
"If there is no one else to question about the giants I suppose we need to see about freeing the villagers from goblins. "
Devin casts his eyes around the room and the looks to the remaining guards.
"You should come with us. The goblins have the villagers in some caves nearby. What do you know of these caves? Help us get the people back to the village. "
Torunn seeing two doors, smiles and quickly glances at Beedo. "Beedo, kindly raise an arm."
Whichever side arm Beedo raises, Torunn chooses that direction. As he starts to walk, he notices the guards behind him, turns his head around and pokes his tongue out at them before dashing off, in the direction that was decided.
Beedo raises a brow at first, but then a slow smile creeps into his expression as he raises his left/shield arm. And then in following Torunn's example, he turned about at the same time waggle his tongue at the guard before dashing off with Torunn, cackling like a madman. "Won't catch us, Copper Heads!"He taunts.

"I should be able to send Torem and Kaelen with you once they get back from following the Dwarf and Goblin, now that is an odd combination, through the Keep” Sydiri says “I’ve not actually been to the Caves, I just know they’re to north of the Village somewhere”, she finishes with.
Jaylen turns toward Devin and Meiva again. "If the giants went east, going north to rescue these villagers is wasting precious time. Our mission is the giants, not these hapless villagers. Let the guards rescue their own. We should head east right away."
Meiva narrows her eyes at the Guard, hardly moving (lest her throat be cut).
"Must your violent tone be followed by violent action?" she asks deliberately.

Devin considers what Jaylen has said.
"We will have to discuss that as a group, but yes our main mission is to investigate the giants."
Looking back to the guards.
"What was the nightstone? Do you know what it was made of? "
