The normal casting has 3d8 damage. For the attacks against Skameros, it was 4d8, so I assumed the spell was cast with a 4th level slot? For this most recent attack, it was 2d8.
Since Beegred made his saving throw, I'm guessing he should take the full 7 damage, since it was only half the dice?

I just noticed that Spiritual Weapon was also up-cast at 4th level.
It is almost certain that Beegred will be unconscious. He has 6 hp left, and Spiritual Guardians (4d8, so 9 points on average with a save) is still active at the start of his turn.

Melee attacks cause strain on the webs as the blow and/or the effort to try an defend can cause it to break. There's a 25% chance a web breaks under these conditions.
The idea is the web breaks and the character falls one level downward, which is represented by the rings. Since there is no ring to fall downward once on the outer ring, then the character just falls prone.
Orubis was right on the line, so I ruled he fell down one level and moved him accordingly to the other side of the Kuo-toa. Orubis is restrained by the web, but not prone. He is grappled by the Kuo-toa though.
Breaking the restrained condition caused by a web takes an action. Unless you have a spell that negates difficult terrain, or something like spiderclimb.
Some of this is houseruled, others come from various web mechanics already RAW
Would it help if Rodolfo would cast [spell]Feather Fall]/spell] on Orubis as he falls (as a reaction) ? He would probably still be in the same situations, but not prone at least?
Ok. I ask because the web snapped last round, I thought. The kuo-toa fell. He's in practically the same spot. It's got me confused on what causes restrained and what doesn't. Am I misunderstanding the map?
There's a lot to keep track of and this combat only occurs (for me) for a couple minutes once per day.
I went back in the thread and finally found the post where the Kuo-toa you are facing went prone: 4717 It was hard to find, because I think you made your attack in the OOC thread.
Either way, you are correct. The Kuo-Toa would have been prone and restrained, so it will have taken all it's turn to get unstuck and stand up. The last round of damage and conditions did not happen for Orubis. You can reverse the damage (if you've applied it), and continue without any conditions affecting you.
BTW, I'm not insulted or anything by being corrected like this. I'm counting on the rest of you to keep me honest and remind me of effects and conditions.
It is still Thurnir's turn and he hasn't posted since it was his turn Friday? Again, seeing how close this combat is, I don't want to skip a turn. I'll give Thurnir another day and if he still hasn't posted by tomorrow, we'll decide as a group how Thurnir will act.
It is quite hard to represent a 3d fighting environment on a 2d map. The rings represent elevation, but there's a limit to what I can do. If you're already on the outer ring (the lowest elevation), then falling further becomes hard to depict.
Hopefully spiders DON'T show up - we're already in a bad place just with these fools
Skameros might start chopping webs on purpose if he can figure out who is standing on what....
I never thought of that possibility! For sure, you can do an investigation check to try to figure out what webs can be chopped to cause a fall for a specific creature.
And you can have some inspiration for that strategy.

It was cast at 4th level. And I don't know why the number of dice changed... I copy pasted the original attack.
The forum dice roller is really getting funky lately.
They really don't like failing concentration checks, do they..
Nope. At least it's a bit more of a challenge.
That was a big round for the NPC's.
Orubis is in a bad way, very hurt, restrained by webs and grappled by the Kuo-toa.
Beegred took some big hits, also looking very hurt.
Skameros is looking very hurt and chose to avoid combat this round.
Going to need some big hits and solutions to get out of this!

Can I ask what makes a web break and the person prone vs a web break and the person prone and stuck in the web?

Orubis is not prone. He's restrained by the webs.
But sure... if you want to burn a spell slot, I'm fine with that.
We're gonna die anyway - might as well use the spells slots! :D

Yeah, Rodolfo will do that and burn the spell slot. He's been too far away from everyone to help much, so he's doing his best now.

I will also restore the spell slot Rodolfo spent on the Feather Fall then.
