Ian will move North West to investigate the small alcove, to see if he can find anything of value and to see if there is any information about who these orcs were and why they were here.
Ian, you find a fairly foul sleeping mat and a chest.
Rock, you find seven greataxes, four javelins, seven sets of orc-sized hide armor, one tree trunk, one ogre-sized hide armor, 15 rations, three human ears, a handful of humanoid teeth, a rope, a dagger, and a dead mouse.
Ian, noticing the chest, walks over and looks intently at it. (If it doesnt move, maybe like a mimic) He begins to gently touch the chest along the sides, back, and bottom, using his small mirror (from thieves tools) to look for any pressure plates or tripwires. (Ian is investigating the chest for any traps).
If he finds none, he is satisfied that the chest seems safe and will try to open it. If its locked, he will try to pick the lock, same investigation roll I assume to make sure the lock isnt trapped - he probably would have checked the lock as he was checking everything else.

As the rage subsides Gruxx drops to his knees. After receiving healing from HDP he will rise to one leg then use his hand to push off his knee to stand up fully.
"Ugh... My body hurts... Thank you for the healing. I could hardly think there at the end.
Gruxx looks to the sky.
"Tempus thank you for guiding my glaive in my darkness."
Gruxx looks around and sees the chest.
"I hope that was all of them. If more come I'm not sure how much more I can stand..."
Ian, you see nothing that indicates the chest is trapped. When you attempt to open it, you find it unlocked. Inside, you find 750 cp, 180 sp, 62 ep, 30 gp, and three vials of perfume.

150cp 36 sp 12 ep (with Gruxx getting 14. If asked about it, Ian says its because Gruxx took the most hits, he gets the extra coin that cant be divided equally) 6 gp
Ian will keep the three vials of perfume for himself, for now, until he can trade them for coin. Ian unstoppers them, one at a time, and take a whiff. What do they smell like DDP?
HDP says "I agree with Glyn. Perhaps we can set up here and get a rest. With only one entrance and exit, this makes a nice defensible position"
Ian nods, and continues to investigate. He moves Northeast, rifling through some of the bedrolls, looking around to make sure nothing else was left behind that was either of value or had information as to why they were here. It also looks like there might be another chest, but OOC I know this might be a stock map, so dont want to push my luck for 2 chests inside of an orc invested cave!
As he passes Glyn, Ian will ask if Glyn wants to set up some sort of trap over the entrance of the cave. Maybe something that does damage, or maybe something that just alarms the group and wakes us up.

Glynquinal to Ian, "Setting an alarm would be a good idea. Perhaps we could rig the bodies and weapons to fall if anyone crosses part of the cavern. That would give us some time to react."
Glyn searches for a suitable place to pile bodies and to tie a length of rope to at the other end as a trip line.
Ian, two of the bottles smell flowery, and the third smells spicy. In the second chest, you find one silver piece and nothing else. The bedrolls contain nothing of interest.
As for the trap, I don't know how you would rig the bodies to "fall". Maybe if you laid them out straight for a few days, rigor mortis would make them stiff, and you could lean them against the wall that way, but right now, they're very soft. You could rig something with the weapons, though. You'd guess somewhere around the big boulder.
Glyquinal gathers up several of the great axes, resting them against each other so they are bslanced, standing together with their blades up after tying a rope to one end. Running the other end to the noulder, he jopes to hear tge heavy end fall if someone goes past that point.
HDP has already rolled out his bedroll, and is resting. Internally, he is still thinking about how close he was to danger with that Orc that came out of nowhere. Thankfully, his newfound companions worked together to stay safe and dispatch the enemy. Externally, he is trying to stay cool as a cucumber, resting while Ian and Glyn make the trap. He is probably "backseat driving" the trap, making recommendations, but not actually doing anything to help.
Everyone earns another 250 xp.
