Mari finds that the door across the hall is unlocked, and there's no immediate signs of a trap. Lawrance checks the immediate area, and finds nothing untoward, save for the by now expected scry sensors.

Poljen once more volunteers to enter the room, with the rope about his waist. "I may be weakened, but I am still hard to kill." He moves in cautiously, scanning the room.

Mari nods to Poljen as he enters the room. " Be careful in there. Hopefully it is better than the last room. " She watches from the doorway for any hint of trouble.

"I don't feel so good. I'm not sure if it's me or the magic in my armor fading, but my plate, shield and hammer feel heavier. I guess we have to carry on, though. Let's find this throne room and end this. Lead the way Poljen, Mari."
Poljen opens the door and finds himself in what appears to have been a mess hall for soldiers. Old tables are arranged in neat rows. Several plates are still laid out on one table, the food long since mummified by the long years in the cold.

Poljen sees that the far side of the room is collapsed and buried under yet more ice. He comes back to the door. "Nothing of interest here as far as I can tell." He looks down the hall. "Further south, then?" He and Mari can once again take point as they approach what appear to be two more doorways on either side of the hall.

Poljen moves to the door on the right and waves everyone else back few steps. He then opens the door, not bothering to check for traps. He scans for immediate threats anything of interest in the room.
The moment Mari steps beyond the threshold, something yanks her off her feet, and the door slams shut behind her. At the same time, the door in front of Poljen opens, and a huge and incredibly ugly creature stands before the barbarian, it reaches out towards him with clawed hands.
Terror fills her as Mari is snatched up. Her instincts take over and she twists trying to drop free of whatever has her.
Lia curses as the situation plays out. She races after Velon to aid Mari While the barbarian is facing a tough foe she knows he has faced much worse. " I'm coming as well Velon. "

As Mari gets locked away behind the door, Perry yells out, "Mari! MARI!" He rushes up to the door and begins looking around frantically for a way to open it. "What's up with this stupid door?! HEY DR. FREEZE, let Mari out you evil freak!"
Shadowsnacks communicates over the telepathic line and gives some advice to the distressed bard, "You have to calm down, Perry. You might need to save her with your magic. Panicking won't help, see. Remember Perry, you can make sure she's okay thanks to this mental connection we've got goin' here, see."
At that, Perry calms down a little bit. He replies over the mental link, "Okay Shadowsnacks, I'll calm down and think. Mari, can you hear us still? Are you okay? What's over there? Don't panic, we are trying to find a way in there to get you out. Lawrance, can you figure out how to get this door open?"
Per Daishain, it takes a full action to try and figure out what is up with this door. Perry is trying to see if it's magically locked or just physically locked somehow. I'll have Perry make a general Arcana or Investigation check. The modifier is the same either way. Shadowsnacks will look around for any switches or anything else along the walls that may help. Afterwards, he backs up a bit to AF57 away from the fight.

Startled by the sudden disappearance of Mari through the door, Lawrance is less bothered by the mass of flesh that comes from the other side. Suspecting the door is something more sinister, he joins Perry in an examination of the door, keeping a wary group of eyes out for more surprises from their tormentor. %Keep that blob busy, Pol, while we try and get Mari!
