Volo tilts his head sucking a breath in through his teeth. "Well, maybe if you don't have any luck I will file a report. I'd honestly not like to get the Watch involved if it turns out he's just drank a little too much and got lost. But Floon - bless his heart - has a way of getting in with some shady folk without realizing it. And with the conflict in the city recently I worry he may have found a stroke of bad luck."

"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
Siobhan nods as she thinks on it more and realizes more and more who the man is as his name flashes through her mind once more. "That is a wide choice actually. Can you please tell me more about your friend Floon? If it is enough I can attempt to draw something so that we can have an idea of who we should be looking for."
Dolar has absolutely NO idea who this man with the weird name is, nor does he understand the concept of a "celebrity;" but ignorance is bliss, and he merely shrugs it off and doesn't question it any further. From what Dolar understands, this strange man is asking the group who helped defeat the troll to track down another man with a strange name...and Dolar used to love tracking on the plains. To Dolar, this sounds like fun, and the money is a minor detail. He lets out a loud laugh.
"Even within the walls of this city, there are hunts? Had I known this before, I would have left the plains much sooner!" He picks up his axe, makes his way over to Volothamp, and puts his left arm on the man's right shoulder. "I, Dolar, will do this for you. Point me to where you last saw your friend, and I will track him."
He moves over to the side to see what the others have to say.
Phineasstarts to giggle and wiggle about at the mention of the name Floonas the others talk with the stranger... Volvo, as the witless jester begins to ramble and bramble once more, stopping her game of jacks... prancing about in a mad half-dance calling out to her imaginary friend in a loud shrill voice, "alas, poor Floon, Floon the Loon... a pestilence upon him for a mad rogue! He who 'a pour'd a flagon of Rhenish upon my own sweet noggin once not long ago, he did. This same Floon, sweet Floon the Loon sir, was such a tune he sang last noon, sir! Alas, poor Floon! I knew him well...Mallory, I did, and he is without a doubt a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy as he hath borne me upon his back a thousand times and now how abhorred in my imagination it is as my gorge rims at the thought of it, he did indeed ring my bell, plural... or was that oral I know not which? Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft? Where be... your gibes and your gambols now? Your songs and your flashes of merriment, that were wont to set my loins a roar? Not one now, to mock your own grinning my hap-fallen friend? Alas poor sweet Floon, Floon the Loon, I knew him well!" Suddenly without warning, Phineas' dance and play-on-words come to a sudden halt as she turns and smiles at everyone grinning ear to ear... giving one and all an impish bow... blowing kisses in the wind!!! Holding her open palm outstretched... Performance20
Volo is caught for a moment by Phineas'perfomance. "That's quite the song, my dear." He claps politely and looks back to the group. "Poor, sweet Flood indeed. Two nights ago at I met him for drinks at a tavern in the Dock Ward called the Skewered Dragon. I was stricken with the most awful case of writer's block, truly terrible! So we had some drinks, had a little fun and eventually I had to return to my blank pages. Floon stayed behind and I haven't heard from him since. I'd accidentally taken a trinket of his when I left, and I went to return it to him the next day, but he wasn't home.
"The place we were at, the Skewered Dragon, well,"he pauses choosing his words, "It is not the most reputable place. And of course the Dock Ward is not the safest ward in Waterdeep. Perhaps someone at the tavern knows what he did after I left him. I might look into it myself, but books dont' write themselves."He half chuckles realizing it's not all that funny. "Anyhow, that's where I would start maybe. He's quite the handsome fellow, waves of strawberry locks. Early thirties I believe, but he's never given me an actual age, cheeky man. Perhaps the most notable thing was his dress. He was dressed quite, quite well for someone native to the Dock Ward. He mentioned he'd come into a bit of money recently. Curious.
"I'd just like to know that he's okay. I worry about him getting into trouble."
If you'd like you can make a history check to see if you know the Skewered Dragon

Siobhan can only shake her head when Phineas randomly breaks out into song, clapping to be polite since she knew that the girl was obviously beyond the realm of sanity. As Volo began to speak once more she turned her attention back to him, making a mental checklist of the description given to her by the writer.
(Yeeaah. The Dock Ward isn't your district, but being in the watch might still net you advantage on this.)

Hmmmm that place sounds familiar but, hell, I don't think I remember why ((unless I do haha)) but this seems like a chance to show what I'm capable of...besides I already decided that I'll follow Dolar around, if he's in, I'm in.
Volo is caught for a moment by Phineas' performance. "That's quite the song, my dear." He claps politely and looks back to the group.
Phineas' eyes narrow a bit, as she smiles politely and chirps, "thanks are appreciated bub but a gratuity is after all customary... and we would not want to break with tradition would we? That my friend would be amazingly bad form and terribly unlucky in the eyes of the gawds. So if you would be so kind, please... if you would all be so kind."Phineas announces looking at everyone expectantly the jester's hand outstretched rubbering her thumb over her fingers in a classic give me gesturePersuasion9, "please, pretty please... The outrageous jester's outstretched hand sticking out expectantly... her keen mind racing... catching up with her and then continues on past without stopping as she babbles, "Mallory, where have heard that name before... the Skewered Dragon, it sounds really familiar?" Tapping her head thinking hard causing the brass bells on her cap to jingle loudly! "Oh yeah, History8 that's right we go there like all the time, to hob knob, we're regular regulars there, everybody knows me, they love my work you know... big fans, can't get enough me. I seem to remember that's where I last saw Floon the Loon, oh my gawds that's a really lucky break for us!"Phineas turns looking at everyone in the midst of an epiphany, her eyes lit up brightly, "cause that's like the guy, you know the guy we're supposed to find, right guys? I am really good at this," she giggles, "just one of my many amazing talents... finding people, especially when they are lost or just don't want to be found when the rent is due!"
Phineas look around impatiently at everyone, "so what are standing around here waiting for? The game is afoot!!! Come along Siobhan, don't doddle, I don't have time to spare on your nonsense now, we're on an extremely important case."
Of course, Phineas is mistaken and thinking of an entirely different tavern with a similar name on a different side of town and has obviously confused the two.
"Dock Ward? Skewered Dragon?" Dolar thinks to himself. Being new to Waterdeep, he has no idea what Volo is talking about, but he continues to stand there off to the side, nodding and smiling. He pays no attention to Phineas, lost in contemplation.
...then he gets what he thinks to be a brilliant solution to his dilemma. "You! City Watchperson! The one they call Siobhan!" he says to Siobhan. "I trust you know this city better than anyone here. I will follow you to this dragon...that is skewered." He raises his axe by the blade and brings its hilt down onto the floor, excited.
Sylelor: You've heard the name before, but you don't really know much about it. It's a tavern in the dock ward, and there are many taverns in the dock ward and scattered throughout Waterdeep.
Siobhan: You have heard the Skewered Dragon in passing. The Dock Ward isn't your district, but the Skewered Dragon has uncomfirmed ties with the Zhentarim faction, which is colloquially known as a criminal organization.
Volo looks over at Phineas a bit taken aback and then nods. "Of course, of course. I wouldn't think of not tipping." He reaches into his bag, pulling out a considerably sized coin purse, counting out a series of gold coins. He pushes ten toward each of you, and an extra 1 for Phineas.
"There's more than that in it for you if you find Floon."

It takes a while, but he gets it eventually. "Ahh! A name! Skewered Dragon...is the name of the tavern. I knew this, I knew this," he says, nodding. "But trust me when I say, Sir Goodarm, that were it AN ACTUAL DRAGON, I would have no doubt SKEWERED it! AHA!"
Volo laughs, quite heartily. "I have no doubt that you have skewered it, my friend."
