An arrow shoots out from somewhere, towards Asher: Attack: 17 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
A second arrow shoots at Scupper: Attack: 12 Damage: 4
You guess that the arrows have come from the north side of the road, to the left as you were travelling, the same side that Scupper, Strix, Vaz and Dario have rushed into. At the moment, Asher can't see Scupper, but can see clearly where he jumped from the wagon, and the spot where Goblin 4 fell, at the edge of the trees. He can also see Mistweaver, still crouched at the rear end of the wagon.
Goblin 1 looks scared at being outnumbered, as its fellow is struck down by Dario's arrow. It seems almost ready to run, but panics and lashes out at the nearest enemy, Strix: Attack: 24 Damage: 13
Yes, in combat rogues can use a bonus action to hide, disengage or dash – starting from level two, so Scupper doesn’t have it yet. You can hide behind any creature or object that would make sense, so in this situation, the cart and trees yes, the horses maybe (their legs are not that thick and wouldn’t obscure you from a short creature like a goblin).
Everyone who's been on the receiving end of an attack, please feel free to narrate the outcome, either hit or miss. You can be as brief or elaborate as you like. If you took damage, then please update your character sheets on DnDBeyond as well.
Asher remains staunch as the arrow flies by him. He smiles and firmly grips his Glaive as he moves toward a goblin withim range. (One with the most hit points if more than one is available.)
Asher heads towards the place where it seems the arrows came from, and as soon as he reaches the tree line, he's able to look further into the forest and see two goblins. They are indeed armed with shortbows and observing his approach with trepidation, both sets of eyes firmly locked on his glaive. Goblin 5 is nearest to the road, and Asher's first swing catches it in the gut, the glaive opening a wide gash and leaving the goblin staggering but still alive. The second attack, a thrust with the other end of the weapon, punches the goblin's head and those nearby hear a crack as the skull caves in. The goblin falls, lifeless. Asher still has ten feet of movement, and needs only five to bring him face to face with Goblin 6.
There are three remaining goblins; Goblin 1 is in melee with Strix, with Dario and Vax nearby. Goblin 3 is near the front of the wagon, standing next to the unconscious form of Scupper. Goblin 6, one of the archers, is in the forest, within ten feet of Asher.
I didn't see where Scupper was narrated as being knocked unconscious. The last thing I saw was he got it by an arrow?
Unless the reason it wasn't narrated was because he fell out of eyeshot?
Asher uses his last 10 ft. of movement to get at least 11ft. away from the closest goblin. Because my polearm master feat lets me do an opportunity attack when an enemy comes within range (10ft). So i will go ahead and roll for that and hit the first one that comes within my range.

About to head to shops so going to post my And/If turn now. Also do you think that the shot adrenilin has taken away the effects of the hangover?
Vaz:
Should Strix take down the goblin in front of us I shall move back to the road to check if there are any more coming out of the woods. Perception: 15
Otherwise I shall cast Prestidigitation and create a miniature duplicate of the goblin in the palm of my hand. I will then make elaborate gestures with my other hand and chant loudly some nonsensical words. Then I shall have the tiny illusion burst into flame and laugh maniacally. Intimidation: 7

Looking down at the bloodied tatters of his shirt, Strix tries to reason with the goblin before him - sure, they both have friends but Strix's friends are bigger, more numerous and own a camel. Also, why are they fighting when there are bandits loose in the woods? They should be working together in harmony and brotherhood!
What comes out of his beaky maw is a less reasonable sounding KIYEEEEEEEEEEE! as he lashes out instinctively with a whirling strike from his staff 8 to hit, (dmg 9), letting the momentum carry his body around and forward, an elbow protruding at goblin-head-height. 14 to hit, dmg 7
Apologies for accidentally triggering a fight by the way. Was hoping to recon and see if there was any cause for alarm, then regroup to discuss. I may have to face up to it - he's not a ranger!
Dario is quick to notch another arrow into the string of his long bow. As the fighting rages around him, Dario notices Strix striking towards the goblin that faced the beast and up ahead Asher getting into a defensive position with his glaive. He find an opportune time to move towards Goblin 6 while trying to stay hidden within the foliage and when he sees a clear shot at Goblin 6 lets go of his arrow with a thwack.
Seeing Strix take down the goblin, Varinth [as bonus action] uses Control Flame to put out the branch, then runs back to the road to see what is happening there.
As he starts to leave he says to Strix Thank the Gods you killed that beast, I was about to do the dumbest ruse I've ever thought of.
Skidding to a halt in the middle of the road I quickly take in what is happening.

Asher moves the remain 5 ft and is now toe-to-toe with Goblin 6, who is looking very scared, eyes still locked on the massive glaive covered in the blood of his companion, and may be ready to run.

With a screech strangely similar to the goblins' earlier one, Strix launches himself at Goblin 1, his first staff strike hitting the creature on its neck and almost stunning it. As it seems about to fall, a second strike with his elbow sends the disoriented goblin flying ten feet through the trees where it lands, motionless.
Vaz pats out the flame on the branch instantly with his cantrip. He moves back to the road, where he sees only Mistweaver, crouched behind the wagon. She motions to him to crouch down, and be wary of arrows, before turning her attention back to the trees to the north.
From his position, Dario cannot quite see the other goblins, but moving only a short distance east, he's able to see both Goblin 3 near the cart and Goblin 6 near Asher. He fires his arrow at Goblin 6, straight through the heart; as it falls to the ground, its eye still seems to be looking at Asher's glaive.
I didn't narrate the results of most of the goblins' attacks, but am happy to do so, at least to a basic level; feel free to add flavour to your character's actions if you wish.
Mistweaver saw Scupper fall, and from her place in cover behind the cart, can just see his right foot sticking out through the bushes; she mutters a single word and a burst of healing fills Scupper: 5 HP restored to Scupper, who awakes but has lost his action this turn.
Soodi seems to have found a nice patch of tall grass and is munching on it, off in the distance.
Only Goblin 3 remains alive; moments ago, he was feeling very confident and had brought his halfling enemy down. Now, he has heard enough of the fight to know that he is losing, and decides to turn and run. Scupper, though only just returned to consciousness, still has his rapier in his hand and takes a parting shot as the goblin bolts (Scupper can make an Attack of Opportunity).
If the Goblin survives Scupper's attack, it dashes 60 ft north into the trees; Dario and Asher, you both saw very clearly where it went and can follow if you wish.
It's Asher's turn. We're still in initiative order until the last goblin is either killed, captured or escapes.
Whoops. Can the (badly rolled) perception check be a bonus action? And then the Control Flames is the full action? Sorry, I have been listening to Youtube videos in the background and must have misheard that Cantrips can be Bonus Actions.
Some cantrips can be bonus actions, but it will say so on the spell's description. As a Sorcerer, you will (at higher levels) gain abilities that allow you to turn many spells that usually cost an action into bonus actions.
A quick glance around takes no time at all, but a proper look with a Perception check to try to find something not easily seen, that's an action, I'm afraid.
From her actions and her body language and position behind the cart, you get a sense that Mistweaver is only concerned with threats - and -arrows - coming from the north/left side of the road, up to now at least. That's the same side that all the goblins have been found on so far.
(OOC: since he has 30ft of movement left after beating up the goblin and no other visible threats...)
Without thinking, Strix races between the trunks in pursuit of his ex-assailant, arms chevroned out behind him and leaps onto its slight frame where it comes to rest. He begins tearing into its face with his beak.
(OOC : assuming since he's down this counts as flavour? Specifically this flavour is like raw chicken. )

Would Varinth have seen or heard Scupper go down?
No, only Mistweaver was in a position to see at the time, and Asher can see from where he is now.

Well that went down quick for Scupper haha. I'm sure it was prefaced with a quiet "feck me..."
Hopefully someone can help me out after the greenskin trouble is seen to.
