This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Goblin 3 has covered much of the distance between them, Asher is able to reach it easily, and makes two attacks with his glaive; the first misses wildly, and the goblin cackles; unfortunately, it doesn't pay attention as Asher brings the pommel to crack down upon the goblin's skull. The goblin staggers, but is still standing, looking angrily at his assailant. (I believe the re-roll of the 1 is another 1, so the damage total of 7 stands).
Mistweaver approaches a little, but then sees the goblin in combat with Asher is still standing, and from fifteen feet away launches an arrow: Attack: 7 Damage: 9. It goes wide, and the goblin doesn't even notice it.
Vaz moves towards the cave mouth, but is only able to get about half the distance there before he slumps down next to a tree; you hear him muttering under his breath, and then his clothes seem to catch fire.
Note to MarkDmitri - please read the spoiler! :)
We put out-of-character or other game mechanics stuff in spoiler boxes, so that the story is easier to read. The jury's still out on whether it works or not. So players should always read them; they're not really spoilers!
I really should just wait my turn. Scratch everything I just said. Once Asher & Misty have had their go I will post. BTW welcome Mark. I really hope you survive to your second post ;)
At the sound of the battle, and much screeching and shrieking from the goblins, you hear answering noises coming from the mouth of the cave, and four more goblins pour out. They appear to have been running, and they head directly towards Asher; the lead goblin gets to within 10 feet of him, with the others following a few feet behind.
Asher, please make your attack of opportunity on Goblin 5.
The goblins have used all their action and movement to dash, so have nothing else to do until next round.
Asher, it ended up that Goblin 3 didn't come within 10 feet, so you moved up to him to engage. However, Goblin 5 did approach within 10ft later on, provoking your reaction/attack of opportunity which unfortunately misses.
Dario is up next. If anyone would like to tell me what your character will do before it's your turn, please feel free. You can add a some conditionals if you like ("If X happens, then I do Y" etc.) but you don't have to. If we get to your turn and your chosen course of action really doesn't make sense any more, I will always stop and wait for your input.
Great Weapon Fighting Roll: If the damage die roll is a 1 or 2 use the following roll: If the attack misses, or is 3 or higher ignore this roll: 8
Additionally: If Asher's health goes below half he will use his bonus action to Second Wind. The following Second Wind roll only counts for this round, in other words, if Asher ends up not needing it for this round, then I will reroll for next round. In this instance Asher will still make a glaive attack as his action. Second Wind: 5
Scupper will try to shoot any goblin that is within 10 feet of Asher as it gives him the sneak attack. My guess is their likely to be wounded but he'll target any fresh goblins that meet the other requirements (close to Asher)
Sure and that Asher fella seems to have a lot of energy. Good on him. But this can't likely go on for all 30 goblins a few at a time...we need to quiet this down but quick.
13 attack with short bow (damage) 5 (sneak attack) 6
Dario watches as the battle unfolds. He runs up to the closest cluster of trees (three squares north) and takes cover the foliage. He notches another arrow in his bow and takes aim at Goblin 1 and let’s go of the arrow.

Dekhan, please make a death saving throw.

Scratch that scratch, we posted at the same time. I'm on fire. Not totally unexpected.

Goblin 7 & 8: 6
Last chance to run away... groans Dekhan to the goblins as he collapses to the ground.
Reaction: Glaive Attack - Attack: 25 Damage: 17
Asher smiles as more goblins appear.

Could we possibly have a rough map of the situation Steve?

Glad I didn't get emotionally attached to the new guy :O
Not sure if we're rolling init once per round or once per battle. In case it's per round, init : 8
Strix moves up to the nearest Goblin and swings
Hatchet 9 for dmg 9
Edit : had hatchet ready, not staff, should be 1d6 not d8, but it missed so doesn't matter :)
Unarmed (bonus) 20 for dmg5
Strix, Shifter Shadow Monk in Lost Mines of Phandelver ¦ Sihegiall Human Soulknife Rogue in In Search of Molly McGuffin
Initiative is once per battle usually, so Strix's initiative role of 15 still stands.
Well, you asked for it. Behold now, the full horror of my mapmaking skills:

It is certainly a sight to behold. I think I may be tearing up a little.
Asher doesn't move as long as a goblin is within range, he rinses and repeats:

Attack: 8
Long Bow Damage: 6
Dario's attack misses and clatters into the rocks behind Goblin 1.
Goblin 5 looks confident, and motions to his fellows to move around and flank the others. He then moves in to attack Asher
Attack: 18 Damage: 6. The scimitar stabs into Asher's side, somehow piercing through his armour.
Goblin 6 moves behind the tree near Vaz, draws her shortbow, and looses an arrow at Dario.
Attack: 16 Damage: 8. The arrow hits Dario in his left shoulder and sticks painfully.
Goblin 1 moves to attach Asher (who has already used his reaction this round).
Attack: 10 Damage: 4. That goes wide as Asher, still wincing in pain, dodges.
Goblin 2 follows, crowding the space before Asher, and thrusting forward.
Attack: 6 Damage: 8. That misses, and the goblin curses in her own language, and spits at Asher's feet.
