Asgar, still on the ground, holding the wounded and unconscious Thieven, looks up at Lebenha and Alerian and the bravery they've shown. He tries to calm himself. "Well look at that - you figured it out..."
Alerian gives a glance back to Asgar, "Let's not count blessings until we're home. Since the stairs repelled Thievan, you may want to bring him up with you. If we have some rope, we could pull him from the top."

For ease of communicaton let's say the stair case that had the dead body in front of it, which was the one Asgar asceneed is staircase 1 and the one that Lebenha climbed is staircase 2. Which stairs do you plan on taking Thieven up? He attempted to climb #1 the first time.

As for me, I choose to believe that an extinct thunder lizard is running a game of Dungeons & Dragons via Twitter!
(Wait, so Asgar, Thievan, and Leb went up the same set and only Thievan got hit? Or was it that he also took the hit intended for Leb?)

We are in no shape for another fight like the one we just got outside. Why don't you let me scout ahead, see if there are any more traps or any enemies ahead and we gather our strength? "

"I may be drained, and honestly a little shaken by the turn this little excursion has taken, but by Bahamut and all the other damned gods, the least I can do, is offer some guidance! Be careful, and come right back to us if you find anything weird or dangerous..." Asgar goes up to Leb (by the stairs that didn't harm him), lays his hands on her shoulder, looks her in the eyes. "Don't do anything rush or stupid - don't do what I did..."
"You should know you can't go anywhere without your shadow." Alerian draws his bow and begins to follow Leb, offering cover in case she is ambushed.

The three of you are standing in a small room, not much more than a glorified staircase landing. There is a circular wrought iron staircase in the center that leads upwards. To the left and right of the staircase is a door, the one on the right is slightly ajar. The faint odor of death is noticeable from that door.
You can check out the left door, check out the right door, check out the staircase, take a rest, or do something else?

(Unless there are objections, I'd suggest Leb stand to the side of the door, weapon drawn, and push it open while Alerian had the bow ready to shoot any enemies in the line of fire.
I think we had rolled the stealth/searching checks under the pretense that we were at the top of the stairs ready to search the floor. That being the case, I'd assume we use the stealthy movement to approach the door.)

"You two what you do best, and I'll go back down and make sure nothing happens to Thieven. I'm way bad at being quiet anyway." Asgar winks rather awkwardly at Alerian and Lebenha, before he heads down the stairs, carries Thieven in to the room with the fireplace and sits down beside him, so Thieven's head can rest in his lap.

OOC: Sorry for the delay, I got whammied by work and haven't had time to sit down at my computer.
As you swing the door open you see a large curved room that fills a majority of the second floor. A long wooden table runs down the center of the room and is surrounded by several high-backed chairs. The far wall is lined with built-in shelves and hutches that house fine porcelain place settings, crockery, crystal glasses, and pewter goblets. The shelving is interrupted by a couple of narrow windows as well as mountings of various weapons such as maces, axes, and swords. The wall on the left has a swinging door. Your eyes finally come to rest on the source of the stench, two corpses lie in the room. One, lying crumpled on the floor, has a large curved cutlass still buried in his chest. The other, sprawled across the table, has been decapitated, the axe still in the table, his head is not visible. The bodies are in a bad state of decay and look to have been there for several weeks.
What would you like to do?

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lebenha covers her face with a piece of silk to mask most of the stench, then proceed with caution into the room. She looks for traps, for her doesn't believe that the two corpses were the result of a fight, but because of another trap. She shares this thoughts with his friend.
"If we were able to figure out the stair is possible that those bandits made it too. After losing some of them. Watch out. "
