"Please never feel you can't ask me to help," Az says softly to the half-elf. "I agree with you about the beasts," she then says softly using lay hands for 5 HP on Alexia without a prayer in sight. "They defend themselves...people often have...ulterior motives," she adds with a heavy sigh removing her hands.
Alexia would notice now that Az looks nothing like the other two sunblessed. She's much darker...her worn gear and tattered cloak telling a story in her appearance unlike the other two.
"I think we should move. Lingering here is a mistake," she adds to the others.
"Thank you," Alexia squeaks out quietly, keeping her head down, her fingers playing nervously with the edge of her hood. Her eyes flick briefly over Azrael, taking in her more ragged appearance. Although some curiosity appears in her eyes, she doesn't say anything, merely biting her lip and nodding.
Riannis turns visible and alights on Alexia's shoulder, waving at Azrael and giving her an approving look.
"Although it is a great curiosity for me to learn about these new and wonderful beasts, clearly they can be dangerous. I do not know my way around and will follow back into known roads if that is the desire of our party." Arc helps pack what can be salvaged and works again with Corrigan to see what they can do about the missing mule and the wagon. They are working to move what is left of the supplies into the one wagon that has a mule to pull it.
"We can take apart this wagon, the one missing a mule, to make tents for those that will require shelter. Use the wheels to craft a simple cart that I or any other of us can pull. That will give us a little to work with."
Arc and the others work quickly so they can move back the way they came before more wild animals decide that they are unwanted intruders.
Lucina looks relieved once the beasts have rushed off, frowning deeply at the destroyed tents and the fact that Ladle had died. She keeps quiet about any of her wounds, knowing she is not a top priority while others have been gravely injured. She quickly glances over every one. "I can help watch over Ishaz and Garun, to make sure their conditions don't worsen and to make sure to tell someone who knows how to heal immediately if it were to worsen, or perhaps I could help out in some other way." She offers.
Alexia glances at Riannis and murmurs something in Elvish.
Go keep watch. Keep me posted on what you see. If anything appears, tell Azrael, Conor or Lucina first. In Common, please.
Riannis goes invisible and takes off from Alexia's shoulder, zipping into the trees and keeping an eye out for any approaching animals.
Alexia recasts Speak with Animals in case anything else shows up, then glances at the others. "I will do whatever the rest of you think is best," she says softly.
"We should move and quickly, the idea about using the parts from that wagon to make a cart is a good one, or we just give up some more of the cargo space and move them in another wagon, I doubt the smell will harm them." Conor says all this while checking none of his gear was damaged in the fall and the grapple with the girallon, satisfied everything is intact he continues." It is the middle of the night though, is it really safe to try and move out before morning?"
"The priority here is to get the injured out and complete our job," Az begins looking to the party. "Arc your ideas are sound but we know the jungle is not safe," she adds. "Does anyone know how far we are from the main road," she then asks looking to the mercenaries who are uninjured.
Az then settles her arms over her chest awaiting their reply.

Corrigan shrugs. "I think the Meister was reading from a map. Not sure if he had it on him or if it went up in the fire." He sighs, "If we go back the way we came to the road, we'll be adding at least another two or three days on top of the journey."

"Not once. He's usually quite by-the-books, so it's unlike him to take shortcuts." Corrigan muses.
Galius, you don't find a shovel amongst the camp wreckage. However, as you wander the ashes, your foot accidentally kicks a small charred wooden chest. Inspecting it, you can see that it is affixed with a twin bolt, one of which looks to have broken off. The joint between the lid and the chest body is clumped up with what appears to be melted wax from the heat.
Arcast, assessing the wagons you see that you may be able to make a tent that can fit two people from the canopy of each. The barrels however fill the wagons almost entirely, so there's not enough room to move all of the cargo onto a single wagon.

Galius will pick up the chest, and brush it off. He'll walk to the others with it as they gather up to leave.
"Hey, I found this. Anyone have a key, or something? If it helps, I can fix that latch." Galius will look at Conor as he inspects his equipment. "Not to mention, I can fix any of your things that were torn, if you need help. Just bring them here."
Galius will sit down to be ready to cast Mending if needed.
"Oh, and if anyone has a shovel, I'd appreciate it. It doesn't seem right to leave Ladle's remains this way. Maybe I can use the lid of this chest if we get it open..."
Valen draws a hatchet from his belt, "We can use this, or if someone can find a decent stone? Wood is wood, so if we have to crack it like a nut, it may help us later."

Looking at Galius Conor shakes his head "Surprisingly everything seems to have survived intact. It certainly did better than me."
Looking over at the chest a glimmer of interest is clear from the rogue. "I'll admit to being curious, shall we see what is inside? I can take a look, but I think we are breaking it to get in, my own particular skills probably won't be much use here."
"I think the fire solved the problem with Ladle, friend," Az says bluntly. "Have that one say a prayer," she points at Valen, "and be done with it! His ashes won't need burial," she adds rather matter-o-factly. "The problem to focus on is here with the living," she adds next gesturing now to the group gathering around the chest. "We need to sort out why this route was taken too instead of the main road as well as set up another watch if we are to linger here," she adds looking anxiously around the jungle. "Corrigan why did we wander so far off the path then if this isn't the usual way you and your master go," she asks looking at the mule driver with hands on hips.

Arc goes to work creating new tents from the unusable wagon. He waits for the others to decide which direction they should travel. It sounds like the hired hands are not excited about loosing two to three more days by heading back they way they came. The choices do not look easy so he will continue working on creating the tools they need to survive.
After hearing from Corrigan and noticing the metal man making camp again Az joins him disinterested in the chest.
"Effort to rebuild camp I think is the best use of my time," Az will say offering him aid. "I...I don't suppose you could explain to me how you came to...exist," she then says her tone curious and her expression suddenly childlike.
"Alright, let's see here..." Valen tried a few taps with the back of the hatchet to find any loose connecting pieces, then decides to jam the axe head between the base and lid. With the slight crack made, he begins to pry and looks for another piece of thin metal to either pry the box further or break the hinges off.
