Tock's bolt strikes the monstrosity in spite of the distance. Althus follows up with a hit that requires a little divine guidance to land. His final blow, however, is a solid strike and he puts a jolt of divine power into that kills the monstrosity. It slumps into the snow, letting go of Dog.
(Combat has ended!)
Neventi comes running out of the carriage holding Gentoa a minute later. "Does anyone need healing?
Apologies, just catching up! Dog would have cast shield as a reaction on that hit -- is it too late?
Dog casts his eyes about and peers into the snow for anything else. He looks for a small area of flat ground to pull the carriage and horses into, or an empty house or better yet a barn. "Gregory, I think we need a rest -- this has been a lot to go through, and it's a pretty good guess there's more coming. I'll try to buy you ten minutes to cast your hut so we can rest up in peace and plan our next move."
He also asks the goblin to look in the bag of holding for their cache of healing potions in the interim, in case they don't get a chance for a short rest, and distributes them to those who look quite bad off.
If they can find a place nearby to group the horses and carriage a bit out of sight, and there's a flat, ideally covered place for Gash to cast tiny hut for ten minutes, Dog will take to the sky, rising just up into the trees and up the road from where they are. He'll pull out the eversmoking bottle, uncork it, and leave it nestled the crook of a tree. He'll fly back, just out of the cloud enough to see, and watch and listen for anything else coming. The goal being to cause a distraction away from the group if there's something else incoming.

No structures but there is thick forest not far from the road. It is too difficult to hide the tracks of everyone and the horses and the carriage but shelter from the snow and hiding from the sight of the main road is possible. In fact, they find a spot that enables them to make something of a choke point for anyone trying to get to them but so that they can slip into the trees further for safety if they get overwhelmed by any aggressors.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Martin finishes under the restful gaze of the healing spirit (7 rounds left) 27 (is there room for others in this thing?) before he will offer healing in the form of a cure wounds spell to anyone who still needs it after the rest. (4 slots, 1d8+3, feel free to roll it yourselves if you want it.)

(So we can save a hit die or a spell slot or a potion by passing through the healing spirit? We should probably do that first and then use hit dice and then use a potion and then use a spell slot, right?)

Argh. I forgot the zombies again. Gash orders them to attack the monstrosity, of course.
Slam Attack: 11 Damage: 5
Slam Attack: 20 Damage: 3
Tock moves back into a bush and hides (stealth check: 17). (His regular range of the crossbow is 80 feet, long/disadvantage range is 320 feet)
He takes another shot at the monstrosity: attack rolls so you can decide if it's advantage, normal or disadvantage: 20, 26
Damage: 22
Yeah. I just can't tell right now what people are rolling with. Also, I don't see an attack...
Althus grunts as he transfers the damage done to Dog to himself. He then swings his longsword twice at the creature.
Attack: 15 Damage: 11
Attack: 29 Damage: 18
Bless: 3 2
hm
2nd level smite on the crit, unless the first hit kills it. An extra 30 radiant

Bulwark's frame is scratched and more than a little dented, but he still looks around at the others first to make sure they get seen to.

Nope. Since Dog takes no damage, neither does Althus take it for him.

Everyone may take a short rest. Roll your Hit dice if you need to.
Woot! We have, I believe, quite a few healing potions and a few greater healing potions. I don't have the spreadsheet link for the bag of holding...
Dog HD: 4
He also uses arcane recovery etc etc to get his short rest features back.

HD 8
Paladin - warforged - orange
Yes. Up to three total.
Hit dice for Tock: 4, 5, 3, 4, 6.
(So we can save a hit die or a spell slot or a potion by passing through the healing spirit? We should probably do that first and then use hit dice and then use a potion and then use a spell slot, right?)
Bulwark HD: 55
Bulwark ushers the more hurt members of his party into the healing spirit before him.
I don't think there healing spirit works on Bulwark anyway
Seems so to me.
Edit: updated with new current health totals according to my tracking (correct me if I'm wrong):
Dog used one HD and got 9 so he is full health - tried to update before but maybe it didn’t save...
