Urgog looks back and forth between them and shrugs. "Until he becomes a hassle I say leave him be. If he becomes an issue I will make sure he ceases to be." Urgog looks meaningfully at Kestrell and shifts the glaive slightly.
Xavice decides it's best to regroup with the party and he returns to the attic with everyone else.
Everyone will advance to level 2.
The party decides to enter this hidden stairwell, which is pitch black and filled with cob-webs. It seems to spiral down for several minutes, approximately fifty feet in descent. The wooden spiral staircase from the attic ends eventually, and the party enters a narrow tunnel that stretches southward before branching east and west.
You're where the red arrow is that says "Entry"
The "basement" is carved out of earth, clay, and rock. The tunnels are 4 feet wide by 7 feet high with timber braces at 5-foot intervals. Rooms are 8 feet tall and supported by thick wooden posts with crossbeams. Those of you that don't have darkvision will need to have a source of light, as the basement is unlit.
From the moment you arrive in the basement, you can hear an eerie, incessant chant echoing throughout. It’s impossible to gauge where the sound is coming from and it's impossible to discern its words. You will notice that you can only go east or west. Which way will the party go first?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Don't be such a coward - we will go left. Follow me." Eldon says as he just begins to take off to the left, keeping his eyes open for anything that could be threatening.
Urgog Looks around the area while holding the torch up and slightly behind him. He doesn't need it but feels that some of the others might benefit from it. Very slightly frowns at the chanting, bringing back memories from childhood. He shifts slightly, making sure the glaive is ready to use as he stands ready. He wonders briefly who died and left Eldon in charge, but is not to put out about someone else making choices. The promise of riches is the only thing keeping him from finding a nice comfy spot to sleep. He follows Eldon to the left and allows his eyes to roam over the area, not forcing them to see things that may not be there.
Eldon turns left, followed by Urgog. The two would notice immediately that there's a corridor on the right as they proceed ahead. They have the option of either going straight or going right. The eerie, incessant chanting continues to echo throughout the basement.
Zed follows closely behind Urgog utilizing the light from his torch. He runs his hand gently over the wall, noticing the turn of the corridor. He taps Urgog on the shoulder and nods in the direction of the dark room to his right.

Urgog looks back at Zeb then to where he nods. He holds the torch forward towards the dark room. He is having to stoop a little to keep from hitting his head on the ceiling and nearly rubs his shoulders on each wall.
Eldon walks down the corridor, which then splits once more. An entry point on the left, as well as on the right. The large stone slabs that are meant to seal the rooms are hoisted against the wall. They'll notice the stone slab on the left is blank, while the stone leaning against the wall on the right has "Walter Durst" etched into it.
Cinna continues to follow Eldon and watch out for Kestrell, raising an eyebrow at Eldon addressing them all as men. "What do you think those slabs are for?"
Upon close inspection, they can determine that these stone slabs were meant to seal these crypts, but these two crypts were open with the stone slabs bracing against the basement walls. If anyone were to peer inside each crypt, they'd see they're completely empty.
OOC: I don't know? Ryno, how much control do I have vs the ghost-boy over my actions?
Kestrell is still in control of his actions. The possession only altered him emotionally.

Kestrell lets out a whimper, and then catches himself. A glint flashes through his eyes momentarily and then is gone.

"Yes, you may follow me. I'll keep these guys from hurting you," Cinna tells Kestrell. She continues on, still watching Kestrell with concern.
