The child stands wide-eyed and still, staring at the silver in his hand, then turns to sprint off towards the Hucrele's shop.
You find Corkie at the temple, still idly sweeping, though she stops when she sees the party approaching. She smiles and waves as you get close.. "Lathander's light shin..." Her greeting dies in her throat when she sees Sir Braford and Sharwyn. The broom clatters to the floor and she rushes over to directs you to bring them inside the temple. She leads you to a small rectory off the main hall, equipped with a few beds.
Scar will as delicately as he can, which means he dumps them each on a bed, and then will move to a wall nearby to stand guard in case they attempt to break free. "Evil human and some weird evil living tree had control of them."
"Well, thank you for bringing them here." She begins to examine them. "Looks very similar to the thralls that vampires create. I should be able to cure them."
Just then, Kerowyn Hucrele enters the main hall. Making her way with trepidation, she comes to the door way and you hear her mutter "...nine hells."
Kerowyn turns to regard the group. "On behalf of my family, you have my thanks adventurers. I am glad to see Sharwyn alive, despite her affliction. What news of Talgen?" After hearing the news, she nods, visibly saddened. "It was not unexpected. We should let Corkie work. You must be weary, let me arrange some rooms for you at the inn. You can tell me your tale and we can settle our debts."
She pays each of you the promised 150 gold and offers 290 gold for the recovered loot. (as a note it was a total of 4 (2 statues and 2 paintings) for a total of 100 gold)
The bard at the Ol' Boar Inn, a smiling young half-elf missing an ear, ask, "Do you guys have a name? So that we may sing of your triumphs?"
yes that is the loot offer. Its a little less that than the usual 50% markdown cause she likes you all.
OoC: Ok, cool. I think earlier I had tabulated it based on the full value (but missing a couple items) which I think was 425. So 290 is 135 less, which means if anybody used my earlier estimate and already added gold to your inventory, deduct 22gp 5sp.

I haven't added anything just yet. Was waiting for it to settle out. What's the final, final total, including our individual rewards?
Scar: "Oh, Saturday night's alright for fighting..."
Bard: "As adventurers, how do you feel about having to spend so much time underground?"
Anton: "It's strange; you know not if it's dark outside or light."
Bard: "Odd phrasing, but I get your meaning. Geth, you mentioned that you learned a new spell, recently... Hold Person, I think you said it was called?"
Geth: "Yes, you know, funny story, there was this young farmhand, wanted to become an adventurer. I tried the spell on him, figuring at the very least if he was going to become an adventurer he ought to be able to take a few seconds of paralysis. Well just as he was regaining mobility in his face he says to me, 'I should have stayed on the farm! I should have listened to my old man! You know you can't hold me forever! I didn't sign up with you!' Needless to say, he didn't stick around. Sorta poetic though, don't you think? Maybe he'll be a bard someday. Come to think of it, maybe it's not that funny a story. Anyway, I think my familar is calling. Back to the howling old owl in the woods, as they say. Something about a quest to hunt down a giant horny backed toad?"
"We're not going by either of those things, I do dare say!"Obsben pipes in after spending a good while stuck in his own head. He huffs and shakes his head. "Call us something like.. The Kindlers, for bringing light to the dark, or even Walkers of the Shade. Ya know, something that can fit everyone." He looks to the two that spoke so far, but gives Geth a particularly long look before walking off to find the owner.
For as soon as he got cleaned up, he had every intention of requesting the use of the kitchen just to fix his companions -- NAY, as many people in the tavern that day warm meal with his new spices and goblin wine! He'd even offers to PAY the owner just for the opportunity.

"We're called Geth and the meat shields," Geth offers drily.
