Lydia flicks her wrist and calls down a bolt on one of the hobgoblins.

The hobgoblins try to dodge out of the way of Derrkoth's charge, but then one is caught by Lydia's lightning... Dex Save: 2 ...and instantly fried to a crisp. 

Swiper reacts swiftly, planting a crossbow bolt in the head of another nearby hobgoblin. 

Derrikoth's lance skewers one of the archers and wounds the other, leaving just two hobgoblins on the battlefield.

The Hobgoblins shout something in goblin tongue, quickly disengage, and retreat into the brush (1/2 cover) as the frost giant appears round the bend, with five more hobgoblins. 

The giant rushes into battle with Derrikoth, swinging his mighty axe once at the dragonborn, and once at his horse! 

Attacking Derrikoth: 21 Damage: 31 slashing

Attacking Josephus: 12 Damage: 22 slashing

The hobgoblins are stilling getting into battle positions, and get ready to dodge any incoming blows from hidden attackers.

'Oof.. But, now the fun begins' Nirzeg sends Zeek the mental command within the same moment casting a spell to enchant the critters next breathe acidic goodness. In the next moment, the hobgoblin closest to his position would feel at least the cold brush of death as it sought to grab it by the throat. Whether they are slain or not, its fellows would hair the rustling and clanking of an unknown contingent coming from their east, threatening to cut off any escape if uncontested!

Zeek of course beats as hasty and quiet a treat as he can to avoid giving up his own position too soon.

Bonus Action: Cast Dragon's Breath on Zeek through Zeek.

Movement: 20ft south along top of cliff.

Action: Cast Grasp of the Grave at Closest Hobgoblin.

Lydia flicks her wrist and sends another bolt of lightning at the giant, make a DC15 Dex Save. 

Derrikoth reaches out with his shield, attempting to deflect (and redirect) the giant's attack.

Derrikoth jabs at the giant four times with his lance, shouting a battle cry as he engages (action surge).

Derrikoth and Lydia, working together, deliver a devastating blow to the giant. He looks around, bloodied and bewildered.

Swiper wakes up after a two day nap and remembers he's in the middle of battle! The kenku squints at the giant, trying to get a read before shooting at him!

The remaining vanguard hobgoblin leaps towards Swiper and cleaves through the brush (Swiper has half cover).

Kaltivar bellows in giantish, "Come at me!" He edges closer to the mounted Derrikoth and unleashes another quick series of powerful blows, directly at the Dragonborn.

Meanwhile, the rearguard hobgoblins rush forward and together aim at Derrikoth, all with longbows. Upon their leader's command, they fire in unison.

And she casts Spiritual Weapon at 4th level

Lydia uses Channel Divinity to maximize the bolt and deal another 30 points.

Derrikoth gets absolutely blasted by the giant's first attack, but recovers enough to give him the ringed finger as a spectral Shield blocks the giant's follow up, as well as several arrows.

Spitting blood, Derrikoth shouts, "Your attacks are nothing, you weakling!"

He retaliates with two lance jabs as he recovers with his second wind.

Nirzeg grimaced as the giant swung, for even the fog couldn't hide the likely pained cries of the Derrikoth. Hope holds seeing a glimmer of light from the barrier, and with a muttered "Need to get that one a drink!", the space wizard focused on the shifting forms of hobgoblins in the mist. The moment he has a decent lock on four's firing squad, dart after dart is not only flung like bloodthirsty daggers, but Zeek soon swooped in breathing acid upon the unfortunate souls.

Movement(Nirzeg): 5ft closer to cliff edge.

Action(Nirzeg): Cast (2nd level)Magic Missile, inflicting 2 force damage to each hobgoblin within red square.

Movement(Zeek): To within 10ft of closest Hobgoblin.

Action(Zeek): Use Dragon's Breathe(Acid) on Hobgoblins(4 within red square), inflicting 12 Acid Damage. Dexterity Save(DC 14) for 1/2 damage.

Hobgoblins' Dex Saves: 13, 8, 5, 18

Lydia lays the hurt on Kaltivar, though Derrikoth's attacks fail to find purchase, as the giant is ready for them. 

Meanwhile, Nirzeg and Zeek work together to take down two hobgoblins and wound two more in a hail of magic darts and acid. 

Swiper winces when he watched Derrikoth eat the brunt force of multiple attacks, wondering how the dragonborn is even standing right now. He reloads his crossbow and tries shooting at the giant again!

(Not 100% sure if Derrikoth is close enough for sneak attack so I'll Insightful Fighting again if needed: 25)

Swiper's little crossbow bolt hits the giant square in the left eye. Althought it's little bigger than a toothpick, that's all that is needed to blind the jotun in one eye. Kaltivar roars in pain, and swings with rage at Derrikoth.

The remaining hobgoblins shift their aim to Nirzeg, firing their three arrows with practiced aim...
