Moving faster than anyone could had expected Seethe runs directly towards the rats and slams her trident to the ground. The thunderous sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs fills the room. The remaining of the poles and rags fly away as the power of her magic crosses the room.
( Move to cast Thunderwave lvl 3 from a safe distance for the orthers. CON ST 16 or take 14 thunder damage and be pushed back 10 feet. half and no push if succeed. )
After investigating a few more rooms, and finding nothing of interest you come to the Larder. (area 13)
The walls of this room were once covered with row upon row of wooden shelving holding boxes of foodstuffs, but most of those supplies have been strewn across the floor. A few sausages still hang from hooks in the ceiling rafters, and an undisturbed bin of potatoes is scooted up against the rear face of the kitchens brick hearth. (area 12)
You notice that the back slats of the potato bin are built into the back of the hearth's rear face. you remove the slats to reveal a hollow with wooden ladder leading down. Cautiously, you descend.
The ladder leads down from the larder into a musty subterranean chamber enclosed by rough masonry walls. Three trembling figures are huddled against the far wall, sharing the chamber with the dusty, deteriorated remains of an armored corpse. The body's sightless eye sockets stare up blankly, and a small silver disk is clutched in one of its skeletal hands. A horizontal crevice between two blocks in the south wall glows with the faint daylight, marking a narrow opening that leads outside the fortress.
If I am understanding things correctly the bodies are alive.
Toonary will cast Calm Emotions on the three figures, then puts a piece of bacon in his mouth. "Hello, I will be your friend." and I reach my hand out to them.
Maya would keep a protective eye out for any danger as Seethe took the lead to inspect the corpse and Toonary made his approach to the frightened figures. Should it be safe, and they truly are individuals in need of help:
Her face would soften and she couldn't help but smile when their gentle giant would introduce himself with a piece of bacon, reaching out to calm them. She'd nod encouragingly to the group, taking a piece of her own bacon to put in her mouth. She'd reach one of her hands out in support.
Seethe stops before touching the silver disk as she hears Toonary trying to speak to the figures. She hasn't noticed them before and doesn't want to upset them by touching what could be the belongings of a dead friend of the figures...
(Toonary) Your spell works as the three individuals become less agitated.
Now that Toonary's spell has calmed the inhabitants of the chamber, you get a better look at them. You notice that two of them appear to be ill. A male human, and a male dwarf, with the human's condition being noticeably worse. The faces and backs of the afflicted are covered in grotesque, blue boils. The third individual, a human female appears to be unaffected.

Maya will rush in next to Seethe, mirroring her slam of her trident with her staff, sending off her own wave of thunder against the rats.
(Moving to safely position herself next to Seethe to toss out her own Thunderwave)

just an unstable unicorn.
The combined magic of Maya, and Seethe makes short work of the swarms of rats.
End Combat.
"let's see if we can find something in this room" says Seethe to Maya and Toonary when the remaining rats scatters away.

Maya would nod in agreement with Seethe. She'd offer to help any investigation.

Investigation Check (DC 16) (Anyone)
Well seeing as Maya said she would help and Seethe is at a -1 I guess Toonary will do the investigating. 18

Buried under some straw in one of the cells is a charm of plant command.
(for some reason I am unable to add it to my stuff.)
Toonary would sadly grab the dark metal head piece, and take it off his head, and put the neckless around his neck.

What do you do?
Maya would move in to investigate the room for any traps first, then proceed to inspect around and at the bin of potatoes.
