As the dragon sweeps back around it dives for one of the horses. Chill brings his crossbow up and fires a shot at the creature but it bounces harmlessly off of the beasts hide and breaks. Your're not even sure it noticed.
Krom then points his warhammer at the flying menace and a flash of light streaks towards it and slams into its side! The dragon roars in anger as the pain strikes its side! It lifts off into the air with the screaming horse held in its claws and begins to gain altitude as it flies away towards the east and the rising mountains.
As the dragon flies off with its prize you hear a gurgle of pain and turn to see Big Al, a battle axe in hand, stand over the now dead orc that was tied up.
"Filthy creatures killed my people and ruined my home. I'll have to rebuild. But that thing won't get the chance to do the same thing."
He watches the dragon fly away.
"I think you people are right, its not safe right now to stay here. If you are headed to Phandalin I will join you. If not I may head to Triboar. Either way I will need to wait till that dragon is dealt with or it will just return here for more horses, or worse my prize cow Petunia."
Kazri says to the ranch owner. "I am sorry about your ranch. We are here to deal with the Dragon, unfortunately we were not able to help that horse. It seems that our mission here is done. The Dragon flew east, I am not sure if you want to head that way. You still have a horse and your prized cow, you may do as you wish. We are headed back to Phandalin, for that is where we came from." She pauses for a moment. "Do you happen to know anything regarding a shrine south of Conyberry? That is our next destination, actually."

Rekuberk looks at the now dead orc with a shrug, guessing that they had learned whatever they could have from the orc. His attention returns quickly to the dragon as it flies out of sight, his hand still firmly holding his greatsword. "That was a sight to remember."
"The shrine south of Conyberry? Ain't nothing good going on there. I heard once there was a gang of wererats living in it but I think that was just a rumor to keep people from poking around. My guess is the place was looted and destroyed just like Conyberry was. I can't think of any reason to go there."
"I'm sorry we could not do more for you." says Krom to Big Al while keeping his eyes on the Dragon. "The wererats that were living near Conyberry seems to be the ones that are now in Mountain's Toe Gold Mine. We are unfortunately not yet equipped with weapons that can harm them, but with a bit of time, I will be able to craft such weapons."
"How do you want to proceed?" says Krom to the group, "Our friend here seems capable of looking after himself, but it may be better if we could accompany him to Phandalin, or he could join us while we explore the shrine."
"Well, if there were wererats and now they are gone, then they likely took anything off value there with them. Why would you go there? What of interest is there?"
"We were hoping to find some clues about the whereabouts of the Dragon. The shrine is not too far from here so it should not take too long to explore." replies Krom.
"I was told in Phandalin that years ago the locals of the area hid their gold in this shrine, before barbarians sacked Conyberry. The gold might still be there, and the Dragon might be after it. We do not know if any of that is true, however, we are planning on going there to investigate. We were told by the Wererats that used to live in the shrine that a large band of Orcs displaced them from there." Kazri looks at the dead Orc. "It seems that you are pretty good with a battle axe yourself. We could use all the help we can get. If you decide to join us, perhaps Master Krom may fashion a set of armor for you. Otherwise, if you decide to head to Phandalin, we can escort you to Conyberry. You should be safe after that."

If the party agrees to stop for a couple of hours, Krom will craft a chain mail set for Big Al and then take a short rest before heading to the shrine or Conyberry.

Rhogar chuckles heartily. "A proper breather 'FORE we go off either cleansing a shrine and thensomes sounds mighty fine with me. Though perhaps we keep this inside for now? After tasting some light from the boldest of us as well, it may be best we at least appear not to be here should the dragon make another past sooner than later." He comments, and on that note spend at least the first few minutes trying to guide their wagon at least off to a side a house and scrap together some make shift (and no doubt poorly wrought) camoflage material from the house itself.
(@all: Rhogar is in short in favor of the double rest.)

"Yes, let's do just that." Chill answers Rekuburk as he fires a bolt from his crossbow at the dragon
Attack: 13 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
(Rolled at disadvantage due to distance)
"Moradin!" shouts Krom while pointing his warhammer toward the Dragon. The warhammer starts to glow and a flash of light streaks toward the beast.
Guiding Bolt Attack: 22 Damage: 14
He will then raise his shield and try to find some cover.

(I will defer that decision to Master Krom. He is the expert in the matter :-)
