(DM, do these shadow snakes look like the sort that I could hurt with a physical weapon? If the obviously do not, Erro will work on equipping a torch instead.)
Erro looked back at his newfound friends who were greatly struggling with the wicked Lingering Shadow. He knew he could not let these shadow snakes join the melee and overwhelm them; he had to try and take some of the heat.
Erro charges the dark serpents, his eyes blaze golden as he locks onto one and casts Hunter’s Mark, and his sword glows a blazing orange as it is enchanted with Ensnaring Strike.
Attack: 18 Damage: 11
DC13 STR save (only if I hit) and the target is restrained, taking 1d6 piercing damage on the start of its turn.

(welp that sucks.)
Tempest feels a sharp pain in his mind and his vision goes black. He blinks rapidly trying to recover his vision but it's no use. Using his memory he'll use his memory to move the beam to the next closest tree and say, "Someone else perform the ritual. I'm blinded and can't see the seed."
Ellis stood strong and felt only the briefest of pain, only to hear Tempest as he was shocked. "No, you can still do it!" he says back as he touches Tempest and casts Lesser Restoration to give him back his sight.
Action: Cast Lesser Restoration on Tempest, ending the blinded condition
(Shouldn't Rawk still be up though? Ellis healed Rawk up to 11 and even with failing the CHA save, that's only 2 damage taken so Rawk should be at 9 since she hasn't been hit between then and now.)

Erro, the snakes seem slightly more... solid than the Whisperer you ran in to (even still, they are more like smoke). You charge forward striking a blow at the nearest creature, surprising it with you aggressive attack. You cut through it, seeing some wisps of shadow cut off and fade away, though it does not feel as if the Shadow creature takes as much damage as you expect. The magical binds wrap around it:
Strength saving throw: 0
Tempest, the damage hits home and you try and focus on keeping the moonbeam up: Concentration check: 10
As the darkness clouds around you, Ellis reaches forward and as he casts lesser restoration the blindness is lifted from you and with a flicker of golden light the shadow around you is completely dispersed by the spell. You all what sounds like a hiss of frustration from the Lingering Shadow.
Rawk squares up to the Vessel, forcing it to fight, but her blow goes wide this time.
Tempest is able to maintain his concentration on the Moonbeam, and can now clearly see the trees. He directs it over the next nearest one: Damage 14 radiant
The Shadow Snake writhes and twists, and Erro watches the magical bonds fall away as it breaks through them.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Moonbeam burns through the tree, and this one too turns to ash, and Tempest again feels the Lingering Shadow weaken slightly as he summons the ritual and feels the Shadow strain against the cleansing magic.
The two shadow snakes turn the hatred on Erro. You feel your mind assaulted by darkness and despair.
Make two Charisma saves vs DC 13. On a failure you drop prone, and take:
damage 1: 5 psychic damage
damage 2: 10 psychic damage
On a success, you only take half damage and do not drop prone.
The hammering on the door continues, and you think you hear the faint sound of alarm - perhaps the slavers are now also on there way, as well as who knows what else horrors
Ellis hears the Lingering Shadow, gasping as the tendrils had pierced him and in a lot of pain. For a second, he had felt the shadows try to drain his life but nothing changed and he could still move. "N-Never!" he yelled back before seeing Rawk having a hard time with the zombie. So he moves up next to Rawk, casting Healing Word on her before pulling out his rapier and attacking the zombie in hopes to bring it down quickly.

((I think Amaya is right. Fortunately (unfortunately?) Tempest was the one getting super slammed this turn.))
((So go git em!!!))
(I got both paragraphs mixed together. You're right, apologies all.)
Rawk feels the cold from the zombie seep into her bones and retaliates with a slash from her axe.
