Erro dives heroically for the Vessel, his blow heading true for it... until his foot twists on the ground and his stumbles forward crashing right into it, if not for the danger of the situation there is an almost comic moment as Vessel and Erro stagger apart trying to disentangle from each other. ((Oh man Brad, you missed by 1 again... never has a choice of a feat caused such disaster!!))
Tempest focuses and a column of moonlight slashes down, burning into the already damaged tree: 9

Rawk will fly to Ellis' aid and drop the Goodberry in his mouth. (hopefully that's a bonus action.) She'll then plant her foot and swing her axe down onto the vessel with all her might.
Attack: 23 (if advantage from Tempest) 9 Damage: 11
...and the tree cracks asunder, split from were Erro's arrow hit it earlier (if it is any consolation, Brad, without your damaging it earlier the tree would still just be standing!)
A moment later there is a palpable tension in the air, the sort of feeling before lightning strikes, and then a release as if some gale starts blowing the shadows around that only they can feel. The Lingering Shadow is gravely weakened by the last of it's tree-tethers being destroyed. Yet still it clings to the material plane, the vile magics just holding it there, as the seed struggles to undo them. However, Tempest particularly feels the Shadow weakening, it's power noticeably lessened. However you know that left alone, the Lingering Shadow would be able to re-grow these tethers, though it might take days or weeks! You all feel a blast of hatred, wordless and intense from the Shadow.
From now on, the Shadow has disadvantage on attacks & saving throws, and all saving throws against it's magics have advantage.
((Thank goodness for that!! It still needs to fail the saving throw vs the seed three times. You are taking this to the wire!))
Xtra - given the situation I hate to say this, but haven't you already used your two wild shapes? You were a little spider when sneaking behind the houses, and didn't you choose another form when you first entered the Grove? If not just ignore me and carry on (and to clarify as I understand it the wolf has advantage on attacks if an ally is near, but doesn't automatically grant advantage?)

Rawk buries her axe into the vessel, staggering it back and between her and Erro's 'attack', they are able to interrupt it grabbing the seed.
Lingering Shadow's Turn
The Lingering Shadow is in a fury, darts of darkness lancing towards Tempest: attack: 21, 18 necrotic damage. On a hit, make a DC 15 con check (with advantage) or take 1 reduction in Con
Ellis had swallowed the Goodberry, eyes open and panting as he is back to consciousness again. He looks to see what is going on, shocked to see the zombie and the Shadow attacking Tempest. So he stands back up, rapier ready as he then goes and attacks the zombie.
Movement: Half to stand back up and half moving toward the zombie
Erro was relieved that the zombie was drawn away from digging at the precious seed. Erro steps back slightly, positioning himself between the zombie and the seed (unless it provokes an opportunity attack) and he surveys the chaotic scene. He closes his eyes for a moment, takes some deep breaths, and refocuses himself, loosing a heartfelt prayer towards any of the gods that would listen.
(C’mon big money) Action to use UA Relentless feature and gain 6 temporary HP.
Rawk looks to Ellis then to the vessel then back to Ellis, "Take this. Take it or use it on one of us if we should fall." She hands Ellis the heart of Rutan then she'll turn and make a wide sweeping blow with her axe.
Attack: 19 Damage: 11
(It's a super powerful potion. I just thought of this but if we poured it in the lake would the shadow take damage? Perhaps count as a failure... ;) )
(@Foof you are correct. I forgot about the wildshape at the beginning of the fight and apparently forgot to mark it on my character sheet as well. Having a baby sucks it out of you. )
Tempest focuses and continues the ritual dodging the first two attacks at him but is struck by the third. Through gritted teeth he maintains his concentration as moonbeam continues to burn the trees and shouts, "I shall purify this land of your curse if it's the last thing I ever do!" Then he'll cast healing word on himself.
((Xtra, you have successfully smote all the remaining undead shrubbery - I assume you'd therefore move it on to the Vessel?))
Ellis, attempts to attack the Vessel, but is still clearly woozy from his near-death experience, but gratefully takes the Heart's Harvest Potion. Rawk spins and buries her axe in the Vessel, almost cleaving it in two. As the shadows try and hold the corpse together, the moonbeam blast down on it and sears the darkness right out from it, the now-lifeless body dropping to the floor.
Suddenly, after all the difficulty in getting the magic to take, the seed finally breaks through the Lingering Shadow's defences and connects to the ancient magic of Rutan's Heart. You feel this clearly for the first time, a source of healing, growth and renewal. From the seed, tendrils of soft, golden light start spreading out, reaching through the ground. Wherever they touch, the shadow starts to be burned away, and you also sense something that feels like pain from the Lingering Shadow. A faint shaft of golden light shines up and out from the seed.
(as a bonus action, anyone within 10ft of the seed can draw some of the power from it, and everyone within 10 ft of it will be healed 2d4+4 HP. Undead in that area will take the same in radiant damage. This will use up one of it's charges though, and it has three left - and the Shadow needs to fail twice more. Rawk, you wonder if bathing the seed in the Heart's Harvest potion will replenish 1 charge).
Lingering Shadow Turn
The fury - and fear - from the Lingering Shadow are a palpable, almost physical, thing. Tendrils of shadow stab into the water, and another corpse pulls itself up, stretches out it's hand to summon Fleshbleeder, and starts walking towards you (it is about 45ft away from Tempest).
Other Things Turn
You can now distinctly hear the sounds of raised humanoid voices from beyond the door, though what they are saying is indistinct. The hammering on the door intensifies.
There is a sound of wood splintering, and the door begins to break, wood flying away. Though it is still blocking passage, there are some holes appearing, and you can vaguely make out Shadow-zombies hammering on it, trying to bring it down further.
"Yes. I can do that." Tempest replies moving the beam in the path in front of the door then refocuses on the seed. "Ellis, use the seed's power to heal. I'll reserve my last two spells in case anyone else goes down."
(DM question- does a natural 1 count as two failures for the shadow like it does on a death save for PCs?)

Ellis nods as he took the Heart, stunned when he could feel a source of healing and seeing the golden light coming from the seed. He was deciding what to do now that he has this Heart when he heard Tempest, nodding. So he runs over to the seed and Tempest, putting his hands out as he draws on the seed's power to heal. Once he feels the healing come from the seed, he looks to Tempest and stands between him and anything that would come for Tempest. "Just concentrate on the seed and stopping this Shadow, I know you can do it." Ellis then says to him, trying to reassure him and help him focus right now.
Movement: Move to the seed and Tempest
Bonus Action: Use up a seed's charge to heal 11 HP
Action: (If this is allowed) Ready to get in the way of/take an attack aimed for Tempest
