"They seem good at sniffing out magic. There should be somewhere close by that we can sleep without being easily seen. Either way we will need to have watchers in the night. I can take a round once it becomes fully dark."
"Nay, she did not see the letter," Bohmar explains. "It came a few hours after she left, which was a few hours after ye left. Can't say I miss her pacin' and mutterin', but I did try to talk 'er out o' it." He points to his black eye, which he then places a hand over and chants a quick prayer. When he removes his hand, the mark is gone. "She knows I can heal, was more a statement than anythin' else."
OOC: The hour is very late. You can travel to the pier tonight, but could be risking exhaustion, depending on what you do there.
"I'm not sure about y'all but I'm exhausted and, frankly, a little dejected." says Ricky "Ahm going to take up this kind young dwarfs offer and collapse on a cot out tha back. I'll take last watch if we're doing that sorta thang, otherwise wake me before we head to tha pier."
And with that, Rycider heads into the back room and collapses on a cot.
Killian has some private doubts about the mixing of standing watch and drinking, but private doubts have never stopped her. "I would join you, little dragon and bugbear, for a drink. But then, I'll to bed. I can take a later watch."

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
"I'll take third watch", volunteers Aradurk. "If someone would be so kind as to wake me when it is my time." Aradurk puts his pack under his head and lies in the corner with the intent to get a decent rest.

"I got just the thing," Bohmar winks at Hox. "Would I be a dwarf if I didn't have a good ale stashed nearby?"
As the party prepares their sleeping arrangements, the mangy dwarf opens the drawers of a large holy tabernacle in the center of his main store display and removes a small barrel, which he promptly taps and pours for Hox, Gruun and Killian, offering a glass to any others who want to join in.
"This here's my finest conco...connock...my finest thing I ever maked. The best healing magic there is. Brewed it meself during a slow week. Anyone got a toast?" he asks.
The concoction tastes almost as bad as it smells, but it has the desired effect. Once a few glasses have been shared, Bohmar comments, "Ye know, things are movin' so fast lately I haven't even stopped to think about it. How in the nine hells am I sittin' 'ere drinkin' me best ale with a damned dragon dog, a fuzzy goblin, and..." He trails off, lost in thought for a moment. "...Ye know, I'm tryin', but I don't think I can insult ye, Killian. A tall good-lookin' angry lady with a taste for ale. Not much different than Ser Mary, ye are. Ye could both use a lesson in humor, though..."
"Anyway, ye just kinda plopped down on me doorstep and dropped Ritska's name on me, but I ain't ever seen ye before. How'd ye lot end up in Luskan helpin' me old companions?"
Killian taps her glass on the table for another pour. "I found myself in the middle, it is the will of Ilmater that I end suffering. Sundabar. Luskan. It does not matter where. And if we are insulting each other, I should point out that everybody looks tall to a dwarf."

"Hox like shinee. So Hosh follow shinee. Hos found many, many shinee. Hoc want shinee like big, big draaagon. And Hof not know in-salt but everyone big to Hos, but Hok can fly so Hoj beat everyone!" Hox slurs as he dips his snout back into the glass.
Morning brings with it a tense silence that pervades the small apothecary. There were no explosions through the night, and none as you prepare yourselves for a "negotiation" with Doramor.
OOC: Character sheets have been updated with the benefits of a long rest.
Tanakir wakes up in the morning, determined to do all he can. He prays briefly for guidance before opening his senses to the Weave.
"I can take point. It may be beneficial to have a quieter group split off, one that can hopefully avoid Doramor's detection as well as disarm any traps he has placed."
"I tend to be only slightly more stealthy than a stampeding elephant. Perhaps, I should take the rear. Unless you'd like to forego the element of surprise.", Aradurk states.

"I will share a drink with you little one, and take over watch afterwards. Bohmar, would you care to join us before your sleep?"

Gruun chuckles at the small kobold clearly loosing himself in the beer. Gruun only drinks two pints so he doesn't loose his senses for his watch.

Well. Shall we end this? Rycider comments as she repacks her carpet bag.
Wes finishes picking out his spells. “We shall, one way or another.”
Barring DM disapproval, Wes will change Petunia back into an owl. (Preferably the night before)
“Anyone who leads the way, use her help to keep an eye out.” With that Wes will tell Petunia to help scout ahead when they begin to make their way.

Hox airs his wings, "Hox go high, can fly with night bird." Hox says.
"I can move quietly when I need to but I am not use to trying to be unseen in a city. I will lead if no one else will."
