(I actually just remembered that Marlo has advantage on saving throws against being frightened. How does that work again? Does that mean I get to make a second roll, or do I add anything to my roll?)
Do a second roll. Take the better of the two. If you know it going in you can add the advantage tag to the roll, which then will roll it twice and only return the better result. Since we did not know, due to me not telling you, then just roll the roll a second time and take the better option.

Alek examined the room looking for some kind of passage where the tracks suddenly ended against a wall. "These tracks must be leading somewhere! Let's be careful whatever killed this poor fellow might still be around.", Alek whispered to his companions. Investigation: 14

You can roll with advantage since you followed the tracks...
Despite his better nature, the Halfling was unnerved, and trepidasiously followed in, making his way towards the corpse, though keeps his distance, compared to others in the party, less intimidated by the atmosphere than he. "I say, Marlo. What have you gone and stepped in this time." He murmurs to himself, before his body betrays him in a nervous twitch, contrasting his usual soft-spoken and aloof mannerisms.

Belle walks down with the others, looking around for whatever made that strange noise earlier. she was able to shake off the scare of it, but was still apprehensive as she looks around the place.

Orgen was put on edge by the sound of the scream. With his weapon in hand, he walks down and stands next to the dead body. "Poor lad let's take his body back with us after we are done here," says Orgen noticing the plate mail and sword that he would need to inspect later. Following Alek to the wall, he searches for where the tracks go to.
(Following logic I would get advantage too, but get a disadvantage for my bad save. Thus ending with regular roll)
Grahl scoffs at the obvious attempt to scare off prying eyes. “Ignore that mates, that’s just a scarecrow. That just means that there’s something ‘ere that someone does not want us to find!” His eyes follow the footprints across the floor to the wall where sees that Alex has uncovered a hidden passageway. “Well done, mate! Reckon we should go that way? People don’t hide things like passageways for nothing. Whatever’s down there has value...to somebody.”
Grahl will attempt to determine what kind of creature made the footprints and how long ago they were made:

(OOC: sorry, apparently I did not refresh my browser to see that Alex had found the hidden door before making my original post here. Edited to learn more with a survival roll instead.)

That just means that there’s something ‘ere that someone does not want us to find!” He bounds into the room with the broken bottles and quickly picks up on the tracks and follows them to their oddly-placed point of termination directly into a wall. “Hmm...ye see that? Either the ghosts ‘round ‘ere are doin’ their hauntin’ in size 12 boots or I’m guessin’ that there is something behind this wall...”

Dezlo watches the rest of the group slowly start to investigate the space, and nods, happy. It's good they seem to be getting into some sort of rhythm for working together on this investigation even if it hasn't gotten off on the best foot so far. Wanting to make sure they don't miss anything, and to also contribute, she goes to check the wine racks; given the door Alek has discovered it might be best to make sure nothing else is hidden behind what's left of the bottles and racks.

Even with Lupin's bad rolls, you get the following...
The armor looks dented and bashed, and it is quite clear that the corpse was beat to death.
