Kei
A translucent arm springs from the wall just near Dwal. "Look out Fiercebeard!" Not sure if his warning is enough he quickly traces the sigils for an [Tooltip Not Found], hoping to push the ghostly figure away from his friend.
With an inspired hit on the specter's exposed arm, Kei's translucent bolt of arcane force blasts the specter backward toward the hallway. DC13 STR check: -4
The entity, clearly hanging onto its undead existence by a rather thin thread, is thrown head over ghostly heels into the intersection near the pit. But then it races right back into the chamber to try to tag Dwal:
Life Drain Attack vs Dwal:5. Hit:16 necrotic damage (and Dwal must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or his hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken.)
...but completely misses.
Then it darts back into the wall. But not before Dwal can get an attack of opportunity against it, should he choose. (Thanks to Kei's hit, it no longer has cover from the wall.)
His attention focused on the battle with the jade statue. Gerrard holds up his glowing sword and looks around after it falls, asking, “Is everyone alri…” when he is interrupted by Kei’s call and the specter’s attack.
Spinning to look at the ghostly figure, he prepares to charge it if it remains outside its wall…

Peri spins around, looking for any more ghosts, statues, corpses, whatever. Seeing none, he lets his spear droop to the floor. He kicks at a chunk of jade the size of his head. "Guess we'll have to find a new lawn ornament. All this jade ought to be worth somethin' though. I might even keep a few pieces to try my hand at carvin'; I've seen some pretty pieces made from jade." He drops down to sit on the statue's plinth. "Oh, Kei. I think there's a strongbox over there. The statue seems to have been guardin' that, since none of the rest of this was worth lockin' up." He begins tying up the wounds from the statue's bite, shivering at the memory.
Pulling a potion out of his pouch, Gerrard says, “Here, this may help,” and hands Peri the healing potion. “If you like, I can gather the jade and put it in my magical bag for storage until you are ready for it.”
With a concerned expression on his face, Gerrard looks ready to jump at any specters that might jump out, though he has sheathes his main gauche and is starting to put chunks of jade in his bag of holding.

"Good old Dwarven temper, you've scared it off Angrybeard!" He chuckled as he pays Dwal on the shoulder in a congratulatory manner. He begins walking towards Peri to offer aid if needed but instantly becomes distracted once his half-size colleague mentions a strongbox.
"Let's shed some light on this strongbox!" He brings the orbs of light back to life. They dart to the four corners of the room. He walks over and begins to study the box.
As Peri catches his breath, and Gerrard gathers chunks of jade, Kei crosses the room to examine the strongbox.
It's locked, and Kei notices a likely trap as well - there's some sort of pin-shooting mechanism built into the lid. He can try to disarm and open the trap with a single Dex Check (with or without Thieves Tools) if he wants.
His perceptive eye notices something behind it, as well – a disguised panel in the wall behind the strongbox shelf. A secret door of some kind?

Kei
Trapped chests usually held great loot. At least that's what he'd heard. To give himself the greatest chance of success in freeing the loot from its container he seeks Guidance from the spirits within his cards.

Carefully fiddling with the mechanism, Kei accidentally triggers it. Kei must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or take17 poison damage from the poison needle that fires out of the strongbox.
Boko, still in wolf form, has been watching this examination of the box with canine amusement, until something clicks and she tries to pounce and knock Kei out of the way.
The dart whistles past both Kei and Boko, as they both go tumbling onto the ground. The strongbox falls to the floor with a bang and cracks open, revealing some old rags, bits of metal, and a small piece of paper with a note on it.
Looking up from his work, Gerrard asks, "What just happened?" He holds his glowing sword high to try and get a good view of the situation, for the moment looking to the walls to see if another specter attack has occurred.

"What th....." The wind knocked from his chest my a pouncing dire wolf. Shaken, he clambers back to his feet. "You know I'm not the bad guy?" he growls at Bokowolf before watching as she sniffs and paws at the strongbox. "Oh! Now I get it. Good puppy." He strokes the mane of Bokowolf in thanks.
Stepping closer to the tumbled box he sorts through the scraps of metal and rags and fishes the note from amongst the trash. "Become an adventurer they say. Treasure beyond your wildest dreams they say. Riches to rival kings and queens they say. Bah!! Goblin dung!" He unfolds the paper and reads it to himself.

"Aaaargh!" He screws up the slip of paper and throws it at the ground as hard as he can. "He trapped a dud box! There was never anything in this stupid thing" he kicks the strongbox across the floor. It hits the wall and dislodges the facade hiding the secret passage. In a heartbeat all thoughts of being cheated disappear. "Not so clever are you!" His voice trailing off into a whisper as his intrigue grows. He peers down the now not so secret passage.

Dwal, holding a crossbow and not a melee weapon, will instead move nearer to the center of the room.
"Ya missed me. Yer stupid even in death!" Dwal calls out, trying to taunt the creature.
(making an assumption Intimidate can be used to taunt someone)
Intimidation: 10
(and of course its a crap roll )
The specter does not reappear. Combat is over. Everyone may act.

DEX check 7
((additional +3 if Sleight of Hand applies))
((forgot Guidance 3))
Carefully fiddling with the mechanism, Kei accidentally triggers it.
Kei must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or take 17 poison damage from the poison needle that fires out of the strongbox.
DEX save 10 plus Bless if still active 2

Kei reads the slip of paper.
“Dear thief: A lot of work for nothing, wasn’t it?”
All is quiet. The specters do not reappear. Other than the note, the box appears to contain nothing but old, stained rags and bits of rusted iron.
