“I am suprpised that they were so feeble. I expected a more exciting hunt, they barely scraped my shield by the time mine and Jardor’s blades stacked a pile of them on the doorstep.”, Gathrik will take one of the other watches.

You wake up after a long night's rest without further disruption. In the morning, the goblins bring a few valuables found in the stomachs of the beasts to Serit: 67 silver and 4 gold coins.
It seems you were the last to wake up. The goblins seem to gather outside the tower waiting for you.
"See that was not that difficult." Nasaar tells the goblins in goblin. "After a bit more work the pack will be taken care of." He moves around the place, checking out the rest of the defenses a bit more than he had a chance to do the previous evening.
Nasaar plans on spending the entire day reinforcing the structures, building pit traps, and pretty much making the entire area a death trap for the bonecrushers.

Retroactive Medicine Check Last Night to bandage my arm clumsily (DC 14): 5
After a night's rest, Jardor seeks out the aid of the goblin tribe leader the following morning.
"Grandfather, one of the beasts took me by surprise last night, and got a good bit of my arm in the arrangement. I saw you doing what you could for Serit. Would you be able to take a look at this as well?"
He removes a make shift bandage to reveal a wound that is still slowly oozing blood.
"If you are able to do anything for that I would be much obliged."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The elder sighs.
"You have beaten them off, for which we are grateful. But the large ones are still all alive. The pack may have fallen back for now, but they will come back eventually. And knowing you are a threat, they will not charge head on so easily again. They may be beasts, but they are very smart."
The goblin then turns to Jardor and helps him bandage his arm.
26. He expertly cleans the wound from any sources of infection using a red hot knife, after which he uses bandages boiled in water to tightly cover the injury. Injury healed by 1.
"You need to be careful. Outside of towns, you will need to rely on your own skills to nurse wounds and you do not want them infected."
Nasaar, you will need to search some building materials outside the town if you want proper fortifications or traps. Making one pit trap will cost 1 hour of your time (or anyone else with thieves tools proficiency).
Also fortifying the entire village and area with traps and reinforced buildings and walls is of a scope that will take much much more that one day.

Before dawn you may hear Gara muttering, as he is tinkering, grinding and mixing different ingredients to replace the resources he used yesterday. (Changing my spells for the day).
For breakfast he will help the Goblins to skin, trim and cook several of the corpses, to purify food and drink enough to feast the whole day.
He will also keep some of the fat from the corpses for later use.
After breakfast i would like to convince some of the goblins ( persuasion 21)to help me search the forrest for usefull herbs and minerals (nature 24), maybe i can teach them a trick or two while doing so. Would be great if one or two of the fighters could assist me as bodyguards/scouts?
Nassar i would suggest we search the forrest for material together, i can borrow you my handaxe and crowbar to chop down trees and branches to reinforce the structures while i search for herbs.
In the afternoon i would like to use my hammer and my pitons to create overhangs in front of the 5feet and 10 feet openings on the west side of the 2nd floor.
Assuming a normal summer day with sunrise and sunset at 6:
preparing spells and Breakfeast till 8,
collecting herbs till 13
preparing lunch 14
helping with traps and reinforcement of the building till 18
dinner till 19.
As for how far away, it would depend on how many people come with me. If i am on my own i would stay closer to the village. If i get a group of maybe 3 goblins and 3 of us, i would forage in a 2 mile cone.
Seeing the large scale of the work, Nasaar would spend his time on the tower itself. He would try to reinforce the doors on the ground level even further, then find a way to make the same sort of options on the second level, so there are not large windows for the creatures to climb through, but instead arrow slits to shoot out of up there. Depending on how long that takes, he would then try to do a couple pit traps leading up to the doors on the ground level. I would not imagine he has to leave the village to get most of what he needs. All he really needs is some branches, which he can cut off close-by trees, to set as steaks in the bottom of the pits. He may need better wood for the reinforcing work, but a single tree, cut down and used for wood, should be good enough, which also should be close to the village.
Seeing Gara prepare to head out into the forest for supplies Jardor will offer to join him.
"In addition to lumber for structural reinforcements I may be able to find large enough branches for the tribe to turn into makeshift clubs or staves. They won't be the most impressive weapons, but they have to start somewhere."
Stowing his great sword he takes out a pair of hand axes to begin blazing a trail.

With great difficulty walking Serit is slow going, he attempts to rest as much as he can but will lend his aid to creating the pit traps that Nassar is interested in.
Pit trap Int : 10 Dex: 14
Those of his kind are mainly ambush predators and are handy with various traps to help accomplish their goals. He is also interested in the possibility of swing debris traps. Using various items as pressure plates to set off a sideswiping cascade of various debris.
Sideswipe trap Int : 15 Dex: 11
Also any possible type of "rake" trap, meaning you step on one end and the other flies up into the face.
Rake trap Int : 6 Dex: 20
Simple but tried traps that he believes even cunning animals would fall for because they would have no reference for there existence in the natural world.
Gara. It is spring, but your timing is mostly OK. So 5 hours looking for herbs and 3 hours helping construction efforts is fine. You have managed to convince 2 goblins to join you + Jardor. And you find 2 doses of regular various common ingredient herbs (can be used to craft potions of healing, if you have a herbalism kit) as well 1 medicinal herbs (can be used to roll medicine checks with advantage). You also find traces of metallic ores, which suggest there may be undiscorvered natural resources in the widers area. Also, roll perception.
Jardor. Roll perception.
Nasaar. Though of course any construction foreman would never ever allow the use of green wood from the nearest tree for a real construction project, it's the best you can do in the course of one day. Roll your carpenter's skill (d20+4) to determine how successful you are in crafting.
Serit. You think hard about making traps. So hard, that before you know it, you fall asleep again until lunchtime. You do manage to make up for that by making a 3 good rake traps in the afternoon.
Gathrik. You find a small clearing with four-leaved pants with a central stem crowned by a single dark blue berry. Known as as "north woods pearl", these are poisonous when ingested. You find enough for 2 doses.
A creature subjected to this poison must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw (the poison is not instantaneous, but will work within 10 min). On a failed save, it takes 2d6 poison damage and is poisoned for 24 hours. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and isn’tpoisoned.
(Yes it is still night. Once you all have have had your long rest, it will be morning).

The goblin does a better job of bandaging Serit's injury, but it's still not enough for it to be recovering. But at least it's not deteriorating.
“I am suprpised that they were so feeble. I expected a more exciting hunt, they barely scraped my shield by the time mine and Jardor’s blades stacked a pile of them on the doorstep.”, Gathrik will take one of the other watches.
Nasaar rolls over in his sleep and murmurs something about killing the next person that bothers his rest.

Gara, how long do you intend to spend on the forest searching, and how long on the construction? Also, how far from the village will you go?
