Oorr, after being up and close with the giant, can see the giant is definitely a stone giant, resembling all the common characteristics of the race, except for the extra head. The giant appears to be crazed, mad, and making decisions erratically. Normally Stone Giants are not outright hostile, and you get the idea from what the guards are saying that this one may even be from here. Why he's now terrorizing the darklake district is a mystery.
Insight check to deduce something about the giant: 20
(Dex Save: 12) Valrish, you are familiar enough with giants to realize a Stone Giant when you see one. They are hardy, but this one is acting very abnormal. He seems to be shrugging off what should be a good amount of pain and hurt. It's not that he isn't being damaged, but more that he's just not paying attention to his wounds.
I rummage around in my pack, then flip through an old, leather-and-bronze-bound notebook, looking for any information on giants. "One page. One page. And no illustrations, of course." I curse in Dwarvish.

Grimnir is charging once more the giant, dealing only non-lethal damage. He ran towards the giant, slide under the large feet, delivering a strong hit with his quarterstaff. Rapidly recovering, he followed with two successive blows in the knees in order to destabilise the creature. As fast as he attacked, Grimnir disappeared 25ft away.

Oorr keeps using the daggers to take the giant down, although he is careful to hit not any vital part. First hand (Dagger +1): Attack: 14 Damage: 6 Second Hand (Dagger): Attack: 15 Damage: 4
With a flash, Oorr slices at key points of the giant's back. It slows down, its foot falls plodding, but still managing to kick a few market stalls out of the way as it kneels, eventually falling to the ground. "I just... wanted... to see the.... lake..." you hear as the giant slumps to the ground, falling unconscious.
Duergar guards start surrounding the giant, and motioning for you all to stay back. A few of the guards that were guiding you through the city earlier start to round you up again, but they don't make any move to take your weapons or force you, rather just suggesting you group up while they assess the damage.
Another stone giant appears at the now broken gate to the south. He runs towards the other giant, but as none of the guard seem alarmed, and this giant is moving with purpose, rather than erratic destructive movement, there does not seem to be another threat. He is accompanied by a small group of duergar that appear to be better armed than the others you've seen. The duergar make way for the newcomer to approach the fallen giant. One of the head guards yells at him. "What in the nine hells just happened, Dorhun? We know you curry favor with the Deepking, but that doesn't mean you can go rampaging about the city whenever you damn well feel like it." Dorhun ignores the duergar, instead focusing his attention on the unconscious stone giant.
The giant utters in a low rumbling voice, "Rihuud, what got in to you, you poor... oh! He's not dead. Thank the Stonespeaker!" Then turning to the head duergar guard, "And thank you, Weltha, for having the wherewithal to hold back your deadly guard."
Weltha shrugs, "I wish we could take the credit, but credit is due to these... prisoners," she says, pointing to you, "who I guess took it up on themselves to spare the giants life. We're late for a meeting with the head of the stone guard. I want to know what happened here though. Why did Rihuud tear apart the gate, and where did that head come from?" She turns to the rest of the guards and all of you. "You can hold on to your weapons for now, but no funny business. I still have plenty of eyes on you. But the meeting may go differently now. We'll see."
Dorhun turns to all of you, "So it is you I have to thank then, strangers. You must come to Cairngorm Cavern to meet Stonespeaker Hgraam himself. You will be my guests. Normally outsiders are not allowed through the gates and across Laduguer's Furrow to the Southern areas of the city, but I think something can be arranged." Dorhun gives a pointed look at Weltha, who sighs in disgust, but gives a slight nod to the stone giant. "It is set then. When you wish to come to the cavern, just let the stone guard know, and they will escort you. Perhaps after your meeting with Errde Blackskull." With that, Dorhun tends to Rihuud, and begins making arrangements to carry him back to the caverns.
Weltha directs several of the guard to help Dorhun, and the rest to escort you to Overlake Hold, this time as guests rather than prisoners. As she is taking count, she looks around suddenly, startled. "Where did that derro get off to?" You all notice that while the rest of you and your companions have gathered, Bupiddo is nowhere to be seen.
Jimjar speaks up for the first time in a while, with a wink and a grin, "Well... I bet you didn't see that coming."
