Oorr shift the focus of his ire on the remaining demon, then attacks it twice. A few shrieks command Aera to reach Belwar and out her beak in his nose. Likely, that will wake him up.
Attack: 13 Damage: 16 Attack: 29 Damage: 41
Oorr flies up behind the Chasme demon, his first blow glancing off its back, but then he spies an opening in the natural armor of the creature and strikes true. It let's out a screeching drone before falling silent forever.
The newly returned demon dives at Brox. Attack: 19 Piercing Damage: 14 Necrotic Damage: 28
Brox whirls around, knocking the needle like nose of the demon away with Dawnbringer, and avoiding the attack.

Grimnir's pummeling, and Oorr's enchanted scimitar collide in a punishing attack on the final demon, silencing the droning noise. In the quietness that follows, you notice the familiar haze of faerzress descending, a dim eerie light that spread throughout the cavern.
Brox looks around at her tired companions. This was a hard but surprisingly quick fight. She goes over to Belwar and heals him. Then she also heals Aera, so that all companions are back to full health.
She sees the purple glow and waits for the magic wave to hit her body again. This time, she expects the effect of the faerzress. She knows, if she cannot fight it, there might be long-lasting consequences. But she is able to let the madness perl off her mind like water drops from a leaf.
She breathes deeply, looks if her friends are affected, and rides onwards, towards their common goal to find the library.
You all move quickly to the exit. Brox keeps her head clear, while Oorr and Grimnir also trudge onward.
Belwar, however, seems to become fascinated with his daggers, constantly making sure they're in place, checking the sharpness, cleaning them of any debris. This lasts for the next couple days of travel before he seemingly returns to normal.
Aera becomes unruly, refusing to obey Oorr's commands, flying and resting at the opposite end of the caravan. This goes on for four days, before she returns to her master's side, as if nothing had happened.
Various other members of the entourage also exhibit signs of madness. Babbling incoherently, wandering in odd directions, lying about very obvious things. Fortunately no one suffers any lasting harm, and within a few days, everyone seems to back to normal, though the toll of this expedition is keenly felt throughout the company.
Following the pull of the ring, Grimnir leads the groups through the tunnels of the Underdark. The library is close now.
It has now been 53 days since you left Mantol-Derith. You've traveled far to the West, and turned North as far as you can tell within the confines of the Underdark. You've crossed chasms, traversed caverns, and crawled through more narrow spaces than you can remember in this journey, but Grimnir can sense it is coming soon to an end, as the ring pulses, showing the way to the library of Gravenhollow.
Even with the multitude of terrain you've crossed to so far, you come to a rather strange location. The tunnel you were traveling through opens into a wider path, about 20 feet across, with sheer cavern walls on each side. They walls reach up into inky darkness, making it hard to tell if there is a ceiling. It's as if you are walking through a deep trench. The further you travel the trench, the more wary you become as you realize the only way out is to go forward, or back... or perhaps up.
You have to camp in the middle of the trench for one night. Your parties are stretched out along the way. Talk amongst your faction members leads to curiosity about the few party members sent back to Mantol-Derith. A few of them request Grimnir to scry on them, and see how they're doing.
Upon scrying, you see an image of the same high elf person you saw in your last vision. He is tied up, and being marched down a cavern by members of your factions. "Really, are the ropes necessary?" asks Sladis.
"You tried to kill and eat one of us, yes, they're necessary," replies Brim Coppervein, one of the Emerald Enclave Scouts. "We need to get you back to Gauntlgrym, so whatever you're suffering can be cured. I'm not going to have another incident."
You notice one of the party members is missing, Olaf Renghyi, one of the Order of the Gauntlet members. The group continues marching Sladis down a tunnel. You hear a noise, and the party stops. "Did you hear that?"asks someone outside your field of vision. There's a roaring sound, louder, and closer.
"Move!"shouts Brim, and the group begins running down a side corridor. Your vision fades, and Grimnir returns back to his party, camping in the bottom of the trench.

On the next morrow, you break camp, and continue your journey down the trench.
From the back of the group you hear one of the Zhentarim spies yell ahead, "Oi... did anyone else see that?"They point to the blackness above the trench. At first it just looks like darkness, a vast ceiling that is beyond your site. But then, a faint swirling is seen, as if the ceiling is made of brackish water being stirred. The company halts, and one by one, you see what look like orange globes appear in the inky, swirling darkness. They are numerous, stretching across the ceiling, and then they seem to descend. You watch as tendrils of swirling black and green drop down from the ceiling, and the orbs drop within the tendrils. When they get closer, you see they are eyes, unblinking, and staring at you.
Belwar recognizes the creature, and a name flits through his mind. Juiblex. ((OOC Roll Initiative!))
