The frost covers the water weird as bits of water crack and shatter due to the cold. It seems to hit it for full force. It does not slow it's charge however as a tendril whips out to wrap around Valrish.

The water splashes against Valrish, but can't find a grip, and the water weird rears up, about 5 feet from the edge of the walkway.
Grimnir attempts a shot with his light cross bow. Attack: 18 Damage: 7 The shot goes wide, the water weird warping its body to avoid the shot.
Oorr will ask Zippy to go guarding the cavern exit, while he flies over the elemental to attack with a double-thrust. Shortsword: Attack: 22 Damage: 4 Dagger (Magical): Attack: 23 Damage: 4
The watery creature dances around the attacks. Oorr manages to get a slice in with his shortsword, but only does a small amount of damage. (Halved for resistance.) The dagger strike seems to hit harder than sword, digging into the water weird as if it were flesh.

The fire ignites under the elemental, but quickly gets doused by the water of the pond. It seems to harm the water weird, but only mildly. (Resistant to Fire damage)
The Water Weird whirls around and tries to grasp at Oorr this time. Attack: 23 Damage: 12 Unable to get a grip, it retreats 10 feet away from the edge of the ground, trying to give it some distance from the party.
Grimnir fires another crossbow bolt: Attack: 19 Damage: 5 The bolt catches part of the water elemental that was frozen by Belwar earlier, taking off a chunk of the creature (Resistant to piercing)
Valrish remembers about the ring they took from the moldy corpse, just before meeting the myconids. "Oorr! Throw me the ring!" He shouts at the aarakocra as he prepares himself to catch the ring. (Ready action. I also lose my rage for not attacking or receiving damage.)

Oorr throw the Ring of Water Walking to Valrish, then makes movements to misdirect and distract the elemental to allow the Dragonborn to take a good strike. Help action to Valrish
Valrish takes the ring, and quickly dons it in order to run towards the elemetal and attack it with his mace:
Attack: 26 Damage: 10
The quick thinking and ferocity of Oorr and Valrish momentarily throw the creature off guard. It was not expecting one of them to run on top of its pool. Valrish's mace smashes into the face of the water weird, sending a green ripple of flame through the creature's body. (Magic weapon does full damage!)
Amafrey (the flumph) retreats to the outer wall of the room, letting you engage the Water Weird. You see Amafrey puff up, preparing to defend herself if need be.

The Water Weird, now confronted face to face with Valrish, once again tries to wrap him up in a watery tendril. Attack: 15 Damage: 18
Finally, the creature is able to grip tight to Valrish, who is now grappled and restrained (you can use your action to escape). The water weird tries to pull Valrish under water, but is yanked back by the force of Valrish's body being pulled against the water's surface. Which to Valrish... is as solid as ground. The water weird now sits atop the water next to Valrish, 10 feet from the edge of the rocks.
Grimnir continues shooting with the crossbow, (he really doesn't have another ranged ability...) and JimJar, not wanting to waste his daggers, waits at the edge of the pool to attack as soon as the water weird gets in range.
