Gruun, still twitching and jumping at shadows, hearing Killian will take out the Javelins he has and aim for those in the center of the path (4 total). If he has time he'll pull out his Halberd to take advantage of it's extended range.
Hox snaps out of his stupor as his look-alike falls apart before him. He takes his shortbow and fires a shot at the mob coming towards them. Taking careful aim to not look beyond it once more, his legs still trembling at the memory.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
At 120' out, Killian will start slinging Chill Touches at the enemy. Not sure if she gets advantage at that range for the Darkness (she is in it, they are not) so going without for now: 13 to hit, for 18 necrotic damage.
OOC > Sorry for the briefness, running to a meeting!

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.

Javelin vs. Alternate (Disadvantage-Range): 20Damage: 6
Killian's necrotic magic fades before reaching the creatures on the mountain slope, but Hox and Gruun each pierce through a target, killing it as easily as those that had approached on the shore. Rather than erupting into insects, however, the two slain creatures each dissolve into a slimy green ichor that coats an area of the slope.
The remaining alternate versions of yourselves show little interest in you despite the deaths. They continue milling lazily along the slope.
A light rumble works its way through the island, which seems to snap Norry from his stupor. Visibly trembling, he mutters, "...worse than I could have imagined." He hustles up toward the party, shouting, "Why are we all standing here? Ignore Shothotugg, it will cripple your mind. We need to get to the shrine, now!"
The darkness moves as Killian sprints up the path towards the next group of creatures. She will slow and stop as she approaches them, ready with her sword if they should attack.

"Norry, if these are created by our failures, then will our success destroy their source? Trees will regrow the branches but without roots it dies. We don't need to destroy each of these if we can get past them to kill their roots."
Norry nods emphatically. "It must be so! And the aspect of Denorian, tainted by Shothotugg, is trying to continue the madness. We must figure out how to use the staffs to finish what Denorian started!"
The young man follows behind Killian and her moving globe of darkness, but stops after seeing Aradurk and Hox's unwillingness to continue. "What are you waiting for?" he shouts. He looks between them and the massive being that dominates the sky, quickly connecting the source of their apprehension. Placing his fingers together in a triangular shape, he waves his arms overhead from one side to the other. There is a slight wavering of arcane energy, and then the sky appears empty and overcast, with no sign of Shothotugg. "Let's go!"
Hox studies the sky as Norry motions overhead, no longer seeing his fear. He unfurls his wings and takes to the sky. He soars above the mob, looking for a shrine.
OOC: Killian is moving forward and Hox is taking to the sky to find the shrine, but I would also like to know what Aradurk and Gruun are doing before continuing. I don't want to assume that Killian is charging forward alone, but I also don't want to bot Aradurk and Gruun through such a climactic battle.
OOC: Gruun's goal is just getting through the crowd as quickly as possible, going into a rage to plow through the creatures, pushing and shoving them out of the way to make a path through for everyone.
OOC: It has only been a couple of minutes, Killian has plenty of darkness left while she has concentration. Aradurk and Gruun won't be able to see while within 20 feet of Killian, so how are they positioning themselves around her? The mountain's slope is 20 feet wide at its base, narrowing to 10 and then 5 feet as it winds around the mountain.
Hox begins his flight toward the summit as the rest of the party rushes toward the slope with Norry in tow.
Near the base of the mountain slope, two of the shambling alternates are moving toward Aradurk, Gruun, and Killian's globe of darkness, 25 feet away. Fifty feet past them are another pair, with a third pair of alternates another hundred feet up the slope.
Killian shouts from inside the darkness, "Ranged attacks, keep them away from you!"

OOC: There are no more actively approaching you. The rest are along the mountainside between you and the peak.

Gruun will attempt to bash them out of the way and off the path. If needed he pause to grapple for a moment to pick them up and throw them.
Hox keeps looking about as he continues to ascend.
More dashing!
